OK, just to conclude this and correct the given replies: Everything worked out exactly the way I planned and explained in my initial post. Turns out the Mystic Forge does unlock locked skins when you throw them in, even in this specific case.

Hello, if my question has been answered before I'm sorry I haven't found it. Please link give me a link to the answer. So I have been working on Eternity for a while (an eternity) now, and even a while before the Legendary Armory and I am only now very close to finishing it. My original plan was to have my cake and eat it too (unlock Sunrise and Twilight skins and then sell Eternity). And that plan was the only reason I wanted to do it. I want to know: Will throwing unbound Sunrise and unbound Twilight into The Toilet unlock their SKINS for me? If it doesn't I think it should, since pre-armory it would have been very much possible. I know I won't get them unlocked in my Armory since I'd sell basically 3 Legendaries in 1 with Eternity and I'm totally fine with that, I just want Twilight and Sunrise as Skins in my Wardrobe.
