Weakening Shroud does not apply weakness on critical hits. This happens in PvP, idk about other gamemodes.
-
It just puts those without a mount in a clear disadvantage, as you just get chased all over the map without any chance. Not a fun experience imo.

For the thousandth time... if an elite spec is overperforming, please don't nerf core skills/traits, it just makes it worse for those who wanna play other specs for fun instead of the most recent (broken) spec 🙂

New Warhorn 4 Does Not Have Unblockable.
Krysard.1364 replied to Apokriphos.7042's topic in Necromancer
Give unblockable back to WH4 give cripple back to WH5 ty -
I reported it ingame too. I assume it must be a bug/oversight as it makes no sense to remove arguably it's most representative design feature.

Harbinger Feedback Thread [Merged]
Krysard.1364 replied to Fire Attunement.9835's topic in Necromancer
If they don't do anything with how the last version of harb shroud worked it is actual insanity, they just butchered one of the most promising elite specs... -
Then why you base your argument on how fast it can kill some random mob?? Burn guard needs nerf cause it kills svanir rly fast x)

Give back the passive life force to health conversion
Krysard.1364 replied to Tobias.8632's topic in Necromancer
Removing the conversion quite literally removed LF mechanic from the game, its actually bonkers even without considering the missing sustain. Anyways Im not sure the healing should scale with healing power, do we really want to encourage bunker builds? I think I would rather have it scale with blight or even LF itself (the more u have the higher it ticks or something) so it promotes some kind of active gameplay. In any case they really overreacted on this one and needs some kind of fix. -
willbender needs to be able to sustain without valor, otherwise its just the same mediguard kitten we had since this game released. Active virtues are ok (f3 feels a bit weird, all that jumping to move a couple meters) but no passive and having to hit x times for them to proc feels lame. Utilities are meeh, some of them ok but overall worse than existing ones. Same with oh sword. Having great base mobility seemed like a good promise for smth like hammer guard but the synergy is not there. Hammer sucks anyways so yeah. Overall it rly feels like you just play core guard with more mobility but less dmg. edit: I wanted to add that despite all the work still needed, the spec at least feels better than last beta
-
pretty much sums it up. lf rly feels pointless now

I knew Harbringer will be dumpstered.
Krysard.1364 replied to Thevaultdwellinggamer.4267's topic in Necromancer
harb shroud has ok mobility but ur still missing a LF mechanic. LF always was a mean to sustain yourself, now it got removed as a mechanic with nothing back. Make it ramp with blight, traits, or w/e but otherwise its a literal downgrade. this would be better than what we have rn imo -

It will actually be close to unplayable with the current direction of the spec This makes me think you never seriously played necro in PvP. Pretty much everything you said already exists for current necro. Harb doesnt bring anything new (other than some extra vitality that gets removed anyways due to blight) and instead removes your single best defensive mechanic, shroud. Shroud is the one reason necro doesnt have extra dodges, blocks, immunities, mobility... all the good stuff. This is why necros have been trained in PvP matches since release. It was supposed to be a sponge, with arguably the worst defensive skills/traits of any class and only sustainable thanks to shroud. RN harbinger is like core necro but you dont get to press F1. Scourge had plenty of barriers to make up for it. What does harb have? You cant even use ur utilities while in shorud despite it not serving its initial purpose (if any). Life force is literally a dead mechanic. Im not even joking. You could disable the bar UI in pvp matches so you cant track it and it would make no difference. Maybe its relevant in pve so you can stand there and aa mobs for longer but in PvP you just sit with full LF while you get farmed. It actually scares me how Anet thought this would be fine.- 140 replies

Give back the passive life force to health conversion
Krysard.1364 replied to Tobias.8632's topic in Necromancer
as it is rn the spec is dead on arrival for competitive. they just removed any form of defensive mechanics from life force with nothing in return. maybe make heal ramp up with blight or smth if they wanted to nerf it but simply removing it is like removing barrier from scourge, it makes no sense. it went from fun spec to bottom of the barrel. -

With the removal of healing when out of shroud (pretty much the only interaction the spec had with life force) harb is worthless in PvP. You just sit with full shroud and die, it makes no sense. Feels like a downgrade from previous beta. Elixirs are much better now, even tho they still feel a bit samey. -
Did these people play the same spec as we did?
Krysard.1364 replied to Lethion.8745's topic in Mesmer
They took the mesmer mechanic and fundamentally changed it to offer something new, while still being reminiscent of the original class mechanic. This is exactly what I would expect from an elite spec. Compare it to ele, where they simply added a new skill that makes 0 sense and has no synergy with ele whatsoever, it's just there so they can call it a new spec. They could give jade sphere or w/e is called to literally any class and it would feel the same. With mesmer they clearly wanted to move away from AI dependency (and so, more freedom of when to shatter) at the cost of giving shatters another telling (now that there is no clones) aka cast animations. All while removing visual clutter, which this game is full of. It shines mesmers on a new light that imo makes plenty of sense and I think they actually needed. I see theres many skeptics but I'm sure virtuoso will turn out to be one of the most fun specs to play this xpac.
