  1. Well can you really blame them? They didn't do a subscription model and already sold many contents for cheap prize, and many others for free (lws4).

It was about time that they either go for subscription model or some other, plus the new contents won't be easy to match with old expans.

Its understandable that they made it mini expansions, and releasing it parts, especially when (as I heard) the og developers aren't the ones behind these new expansions.

So you either get this or be a subscription model. Thank goodness it's this.

Because they support LGBTQ+ causes? That's not political, that social. The fact that people's nature and identity are being used against them in politics is a travesty and should be spoken up against. One day it might be you.

And, newsflash: they've always supported the diversity of humanity.

No, its about perspective, what you're fighting for isn't always the truth, if you impose it and ask people to accept it, then that where you're wrong (ironic how the whole "movement" started because of this). You have your ideology, we have ours. And social is political.

I wish to talk more about it, but I know it will only lead me to be silenced here, so let's end this here.

I'm not sure if you have noticed, but politics, in one form or another, exist in every single form of media.

Also, I've noticed that when people cry 'No politics in my game/movie/whatever!', they mean 'No politics I don't like', because they never yell that things they agree with should not belong.

And you think there's nothing wrong with that? To use entertainment to send a message instead of being it just as an entertainment, you think there's nothing wrong in it? Why is there any need to throw an ideology over people's face? If they can't win them over by showing where it's supposed to, then the problem is their side, if they chose to display it in where it's not supposed to, that's where they will get hate instead of acceptance.

And you're mistake about the second part too, it's the limit to people's tolerance over any side, 'the boys' had been "politically inclusive" very different from the original comic, yet people like it, while there are movies/series that just wants to send a message, and that will ruin the experience, which would make the people intolerable towards it (no matter the side).

    I see.

Difficult, generally, means that there is an obstacle to success that requires some degree of skill or competency to overcome. Tedious usually means that there is no such obstacle to success but rather requiring time, repetition, or the like. Solving advanced calculus equations might be difficult while counting to a billion might be tedious.

then, it's kinda both, it's difficult in certain tasks, but that depends on the person, I'm n00b so it's difficult for me. Also of you don't use guides, then it'd be difficult too. Otherwise it's balanced with dfiffucty and tedious thing.

Dude, don't be silly. For most people the "more than mount" effect goes away after a week or so and they just move on and treat it like yet another utility tool. It's just a video game, for Christ's sake.

No not most. And part of a video games charm is how it immenses you in it, if you see this as just another video game, that's just your opinion, for others it's not "just a video game".

I agree that after few weeks they'd *see* it like any other mount, but it will never be *felt* as just another mount.

As somebody who to this day hated doing that Skyscale obnoxious grind i'm all for the new players getting to avoid toxic game mechanics. 🥳

Working for achieving something is now toxic? The best part of the sky scale is how it was the only difficult mount to achieve and you watch it growing up, you watch it for 3 days irl, which was enough to feel it being more than a mount.

    Instant gratification is the worst.

  7. That is so true, working for the best mount made it worth achieving for, especially when you took time to see and play with the kid sky scale.

Now it's nothing much, the new players won't be attached to the mount as much. It just would be seen like a tool to be used. Sad people are gonna miss out on that.

  8. They ran out of idean/features to implement (without huge costs), so they cramped whatever they could think off in this expansion. Probably the reason why there won't be big expansions next time.

The story felt rushed and not indulging like lws4/pof, and the script was meh.

The music and map was good, would've been more great if it didn't feel empty in big cities like new k, even dummy npcs would've been better.

  9. Yeah as others mentioned, I didn't notice that "slightly reduced", I can't afford to pay every 6 months 25$.

Also I'm guessing they're doing this because they know the quality dropped for an expansion (EoD) and there's not many features that can be added to make it a new expansion, so they instead do this.

  10. Tbh i dont mind paying, since i was so impressed with lws3 and 4, more than HoT, and a lot of beautiful maps with features, so half the price is fine (which i think is same cost if you missed unlocking the chaps).

On the other hand, I'm worried, gw2 has been going down lately (in terms of story content and new features) I'm afriad it might turn into another IBS.

  11. No it's not, but its not bad either. Out of all mmo this one doesn't have a subscription mode, which is annoying since, first I can't afford to pay every month, and second I don't play as much as before and only want to play when I have time, which is few hours a week.

But it's not great since the last expansion the story became dull and they went political, but the worst part is they rushed the features in the expansion (which isn't as great as other expansions tbh)it's like they introduced mounts only in pof maps and later introduced them outside pof maps (jade bots). Kinda sad,I hope they get better.

I'm just interested - is that from personal expierence, or is there some gw2efficiency statistic or similar to see? 😮 I wonder which yearly events are the most popular/active 😮

that's my personal opinion, the reason I said least is because there's not much to gain from festival currency exchange. Its fun to participate and lfg groups usually fills up. But the yearly achievement and currency exchange aren't worth it.

In my opinion, the Halloween one, the queen's gambit one and new year, are both fun and worth it, along with rewarding achievements.

I'd say do all festivals and farm in all, who knows where luck might strike, I got lucky to get ice crystal infusion in wintersdsy once.

I wish the anet writers were of the same mind.

Unfortunately every American product is like that,be it social media or games or even company. Even if its self proclaimed as international, they still follow the values and morals from usa. Its not wrong, they have the right to do so.

Problem is, if we go against it, we would be branded as the "bad" guy, like be hit with hate speech. This seems smiliar to how the country above S-Korea and the country near India, does! (hope I don't get a warning for saying this, lol)

  14. Because of recent addition of character achievements, leveling up is very fast, If you used a boost + food + guild boost along with achievements. So leveling up isn't a big thing to look forward to, it's only a means to unlock what is level locked.

But the boost it self is much more than that, for instance I leveled up my new character easily but the problem was gear, there was lack of options to get a good gear at cheap rate. With gold, karma, and map currencies I was able to get most of the required gear for lvl 80. Unfortunately things like rings, trinkets, backpiece is not easy to get, also water gears.

But with lvl 80 boost you get all gear of lvl80, exotic type with celestial stats (these are normal stats for any profession). Getting these would save you some time and make you atleast put up a fight to getting good gears.

I'd say, use boosts on hard professions, or use one on necro/engg (since even the basic gear would make them a good character to use).
