  1. Coming back to Guild Wars 2, starting over with the Tengus would have been amazing.
  2. Yes, that is correct. My username and password for my old account is somewhere, but I currently do not have access to it. I can't see myself deleting any of those characters either, since they are tied to my GW1 account with EOTN.
  3. 5 level 60 (exact) characters: ranger, necromancer, elementalist, warrior, and thief. My elementalist started since beta if I remember correctly. I stopped after I got my cultural T2 for all 5 characters and when my friends lefted the game. Never reached level 61 in any of my character. I never really reached end game...playing 5 characters burned me out. I don't plan on doing that this time around though. This is a stark contrast to my GW1 experience where I played for years until GW2 came out. Thank you for the advice, I will definitely have a FB, scourge, and renegade. Which leave only three more classes left to choose. What is your 3 least favorite class? Since I have 6 character slots, I plan on having 2 heavy, 2 medium, and 2 light classes. That would leave out the warrior, mesmer, and thief/engineer. Eventually I want all the classes, especially mesmer with their teleporation portal. With the mount and glider, leveling will be much easier and more enjoyable then at launch. All of your advices/suggestions are very appreciative. I love the fact that I can go to any starting cities once I'm done with the tutorial.
  4. I just want the raptor and glider. I read that you don't have to use your lvl 80 boost to get the mount and glider, is that true? I would need someone else to run me through the first story mission of each expansion, correct? Even as someone who isn't new to the GW franchise, how traits/skills work now, and the addition of mastery and specialization/elite specialization, are mechanics I'm not familiar with. I haven't play GW2 since 2012 or 3 months after launch, it might as well be a whole new game at this point. I do know my main will be a revenant since I never played that class before, so that not a class I would even think of doing the boost. I read it also a hard class to play as well. In your opinion, what are your three least favorite class to play?
  5. Yes, the Guild Wars communities (GW1/GW2) have always been great. Welcome and enjoy!
  6. Would you suggest I use my lvl 80 boost for classes that are slow to level instead like Guardian and Mesmer (last time I played it)? Or which classes in your opinion are the slowest or a chore to level up with? Or should I use it for FB and Renegade? Or should I use it for my favorite class so that I can start with the new story from the expansions? When you say grace period, do you mean at the silverwaste? Or can I leave the silverwaste while consuming the item and still have a grace period? My criteria for Warrior vs Guardian is which class kill faster for solo and PVE? Those bladed armor are so nice, but I just need an armor that doesn't look as boring as all the basic looted armors in the game (at least during launch). You had to wait till level 30 at the very least with the order story to get a nice looking piece of gear. Do you know if legacy armor from the heroic edition is account wide? It said account wide in the wiki but under the Guild Wars 2 promotion, it said it's only for one character, so I'm not sure if they change it now to account wide? Let me know if you want to see the links. Should I have FB as my level 80 booster? At launch, the Guardian was really slow to level but things probably changed by now. Would it be to difficult to comprehend the mechanic of a level 80 booster character whom you are not familiar with? I want the Raptor so badly, but choosing the right level 80 character is a permanent choice that leave very little room for error. When I saw the Raptor, it was my invitation back to Guild Wars 2. Can't believe A-net actually gave us mounts! Sweet, don't have to do all the starting zones then. I plan to have a norn female renevant as my main with Primeval armor, though I don't know if it account wide or not? The promotion said it isn't, but maybe that has changed, since it said "account bound" in the wiki, which is more up to date. The norn female have the same stance as the human female in Guild Wars 1. Primeval armor has a lot of nostalgic value for me as a GW1 veteran, though I guess I can say the same about the Profane armor for my GW1 female necro. If it isn't account wide, then it's a tougher decision. Primeval armor look good on all races.
  7. Oh if you don't have the key, ask your friend for the key in his Amazon digital library (under your digital item). If not, his email that he used for his Amazon account. I bought the POF deluxe through Amazon so I'm very familiar with how it work. Hope that help.
  8. Background: I'm a returning player that bought the POF deluxe edition. Note: These questions cannot be found on the wiki. Would like your opinions/suggestions on some of these questions. 🤗 Is there a class that is most needed/wanted by groups for PvE? What would you do with the level 80 booster? Warrior or Guardian in 2021/2022, which do you prefer, and which is better? What are your thoughts on the Asura race? Do you like their aesthetic designs (face/body proportion/appearance)? If you have an Asura character, do you enjoy playing them? Has there been any improvements to the 5 starting zones or is it pretty much the same since launch? Has leveling 1-80 (how fast you gain experiences) the same, or has it been improved? Below: Do you guys prefer Primeval, Krytan, or Profane armor? https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Primeval_armor https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Krytan_armor https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Profane_armor Is there any mechanics, items, and events that I need to be aware of that will improve my experience with the game? Thank you. unsung
  9. I think it takes up to 72 hours. Hope that help somewhat.
  10. I went ahead and bought the POF deluxe edition for 50% off. There are work-around to get to Crystal Oasis without the need for Lily of the Elon pass, but it's so reliant on what Guilds you join, and other external factors. I rather only do Sparking the Flame once or twice instead of with all 6's of my characters to get to POF area. I cannot wait to get started and get my RAPTOR mount!!!!! Leveling from 1 to 80 should be less tedious now.....
  11. Yeah sorry about that, I enjoy interacting with the Guild Wars community. I do research a lot on my own, just not enough it seem. I edited and deleted some questions after finding more info about it on the wiki. I do wish you could get an extra level 80 boost and share inventory slot with POF, but I understand it probably isn't fair to those that bought HOT on their own. Another interesting tidbit I found on the wiki is that most of the exciting addition to Guild Wars 2 happened in 2016, about 4 years after I left the game. I really wish specialization was in the game from the very beginning, because that what made Guild Wars 1 so much fun to experiment and allow multiple uses even with the same main class. I had 3 warriors for GW1 for different purposes.
  12. I can't decide between POF deluxe edition or EOD collection standard? I just realize what the pass actually does---and that is very important for a returning player like myself. I am looking at the gem store on wiki so I can better understand their pricing model in comparsion to $. Character slot is a must for me and its the one aspect of any MMO that I'm willing to spend real money on.
  13. 70 character slots is INSANE and AMAZING at the same time! Is the redeem code the same one I use to redeem my heroic edition code on the official website? Lastly, outfit is account wide correct? Can you dye your outfit, and if so, does that bind to your character (no longer account wide)? Same question for regular armor sets.
  14. Do you know if I can redeem the code on the website instead of inside the game client/game? I won't be able to log into Guild Wars 2 at home due to internet speed. I just want to make sure it actually work and don't want to miss this sale. With that said, the extra character slot is making rethink to get the deluxe edition, especially now with specialization. Speaking of specialization, can I switch specialization at any time or is it pernament? I had the maximum character slots that was allowed in Guild Wars 1, and plan to do the same for Guild Wars 2. I do want one character for each professions in the game, and leveling will be faster now with mounts. Moreover, what happen to the Path of Fire Ultimate edition? Is it available anywhere? Thanks unsung
  15. The max level boost also applies to the standard edition correct? Do you know if the EOD expansion pack also include POF and HOT in it? I saw it somewhere on the GW2 website, but not sure if you would have to wait till EOD is release to access HOT/POF?
