Stack on portal and balance F->esc? Works in non-alliance weeks, apparently,

Everyone in my guild selected their alliance guild (including me). They all got in - I didn't. Thing is, I join WvW differently. They all stack on portal and spam F. But I hit B to open the WvW window, and move my panel around so I can click the borderland color I want to join, and my click lands on top of the "yes I want to travel there" box. So when the maps open up, all my borderlands get the gold lock and say I need to select a team. When tabbing over to the alliance screen and tabbing back to the main WvW panel., the borderlands become travelable (but queued) An additional anomaly I noticed: the team names in the pie chart view still showed two team names from the previous live matchup. I think this behavior of keeping the panel open while the borderlands reset would repeat regardless of account or server.

The maps showed with the golden lock, saying i needed to select a team. I flip back to the team selection, didn't do anything, and clicked back to map selection. Team names changed, one of which was Skrittsburgh. Summary: phantom map selections with gold lock icons, switch to team selection and come back to correct maps with sky high queues.
