  1. They do, but in combination with Firearms and Shrapnel the first auto (for example) could apply 5 bleeds. The second 4. Third 5, etc. There's definitely more to the ability than just an autoattack. Could make a Grieving or Viper set a viable option. Maybe even Marshal's for a hybrid damage + support role.
  2. What skills have you seen with zero cd? What profession has all boons permanently up? I'm asking because I haven't seen either of those.
  3. Big damage? You actually hit something? Usually it's block, evade, invuln, 0, or out of range
  4. How much damage do you want it to do? Considering it's two hits for one button press, you should probably find ways to abuse it instead. On crit sigils for example with firearms can make for a fast stacking hybrid weapon.
  5. They really should overhaul stealth so that it's only a pure stealth when standing still, and a silhouetted stealth when moving. If they did this, i'd be ok with them increasing stealth times to compensate. Even in fantasy, it's illogical that in an open field you can't see something MOVING. Even the gazelle herd sees the lion after it pounces.
  6. Hammer 5 changes are huge. Likely the best change they did in years to the weapon. You can chain abilities, 5,2,3, Legend Swap (Sigils), all making contact at the same time. For WvW and sPvP, this is huge. Even in open world, i've been running around with my hammer and loving it. The Hammer auto attack is fine. It's more inline with other 2h weapons, which was the goal. Pretty nitpicky to want to keep something worse for the game in because of this "fantasy" no other class was subject to.
  7. Mostly True. Vindi power is still strong. Vindi overtime being relegated to support/healing, i'm ok with. Should have made it a support spec from the beginning.
  8. They could solve the healing issue real quick with an ability that converts healing to damage 😬 Would change the meta pretty quick with that. There's a lot of things that everyone wishes they could change but the truth is those imperfect things are what keeps you coming back. If everything was normalized the game would be boring.
  9. My hopes are for Dagger MH and OH. We have everything covered except a fast attacking assassination playstyle. I would hope Daggers could be played as condi. What i would like to see is: Main Hand Auto Attack applies Bleeding and torment damage, to synergize with Kalla and Demon stances. Each attack grants more stacks. Skill that consumes Bleeds and Converts them to torment. Using this skill increases condition damage based on how many stacks were converted. Conversion condis gain a new duration. Example: 1 second bleed would become a new 10second Torment. Ranged Dagger ability via mist portal. Applies Bleeds each time a dagger hits. Single Target, but pierces targets Stealth Ambush skill Ambush should be high stack of Bleeding and Burning and/or Confusion to feel "bursty" Offhand Would need to have synergy with Mace and be comparable to Axe, so i think it best to have a CC and a gap closer, but also provide stealth to give that assassin feel. CC I think Fear would be the best avenue. It is the CC that has the least amount of abilities. I think it fits with Mallyx theme. Low Damage, maybe small boon strip? Gap Closer - Ability that dashes, unstealthed, and drops a Smoke Field at the end of the dash - this would make it combo with itself to provide the stealth, but being interrupted in the dash part would stop the Smoke Field, thus stopping the stealth -- BALANCED! The synergy with Shortbow would be great. Stack up a lot of bleeds with Shortbow, swap to dagger/mallyx and convert them to Torment. Swap back to Kalla and Shortbow, bleed away, swap... great rotation.
  10. With the new weapon releases, i've been dipping into all the other professions and i always come back to Rev. I made up my mind in beta that i would be a mesmer main. Played the crap out of mesmer. When Rev was released, i couldn't stand it. Really had a tough time with it. Don't know how, why, or when it happened, but it suddenly just all clicked for me. I still enjoy other classes, but when i get on my rev i'm reminded why i main it. It's such a good class. It's kind of rare for me to "main" something as in most games i'm all about the alts, so that speaks volumes. My biggest regret is the race of my rev. I'm a norn male - voice actor is fantastic though. Kinda wish i picked something different, o well.
  11. Maybe i'll get some pushback on this, but does it really matter that much? They're talking microseconds of time where lag would be a greater variable. However, missing GS 5 in Shiro would be a much bigger loss in DPS. I'd stick to what you're doing, their method isn't thousands in difference.
  12. I enjoyed scepter. I didn’t find the ranges of spells 1 &2 to be an issue. I think the costs should be lowered however, simply so the weapon can snap in with other builds. What was bothersome was the tether. Putting it on an ally who runs away is super annoying to deal with or the target swapping issue. Putting the tether on an enemy didn’t do enough. I feel like the Tether range on an ally should be increased to 1500 range, I only say this because it’s an upkeep skill and there’s more to lose versus other professions. Coupled with the melee range autoattack, I think 1500 is fair. Range on enemy should be 1200, as others have stated, it’s easy in WvW/sPvP to just use mobility to get away from. The tether should also reveal the target (low damage weapon to keep thieves in their place). The tether 2nd abilities were difficult to get to work. Perhaps they will be better with tuning. In addition to that, this game could benefit from a UI overhaul. More classes are gaining ally targeted abilities and they are not easy to put on someone. Having said that, the 1500 range would help, but not completely fix this.
  13. Can't think of any that BENEFITTED. Elite specs and their corresponding weapons were meant to mesh. If any, herald, because shield sucks. Having said that, it's purely a fun factor feature which will wear off eventually and people will complain for buffs/nerfs if they haven't already.
  14. Now that Vindi has 2 dodges, energy meld is not needed. The middle column traits are kind of pointless (always have been) except for the top one - which just makes it hard to balance. Would love to see energy meld tied to middle column traits as an upkeep toggle. For example, top trait would pulse PBAoE power damage and vuln middle would pulse quickness or alac and chill bottom trait barrier & short duration stab
  15. Targeted boon removal of a boon that is used to prevent cc. Sounds like a win in wvw. It is 1 sec interval per enemy hit. Everything you said is 100% correct
