The hilt needs the be over the waistline, this is not only how its done in real, life but it also wouldnt look like a cheap clipping nightmare.

Thats it,. you dont hang a weapon on the pommel, swords clip through most armors cause that is just not how you ever would (or could) stow a weapon. This also causes lots of them to clip through the ground. This is just one of the many small QOL that severely needet, since YEARS.
