  1. Except recently a huge amounts of bans went out to innocent people using ACT... a bunch of streamers showcasing the meter were banned. They have 0 tolerance for dps meters, regardless of intent. You have to be absolutely certain that no one in your group or others are aware you are using one. Because they can simply report you, and poof, you're banned.
  2. You do realize in order to convert gold to gems someone has to buy gems for gold? If literally no one is converting gems to gold you wouldn't be able to convert your gold to gems. Thus invalidating your argument of "just farm gold and buy it off the store". Because if everyone did that, then there'd be no more gems. Someone always has to spend real life currency. And people will. The argument is for more ways to obtain skins without the need for ANYONE to have to swipe a card first. Which people should honestly be okay with (not necessarily super rng rewards) but at least an achievement reward from all different content. People have become too comfortable with mtx, yes it's a way that the game can stay funded. But there's a difference between earning enough to develop content, pay your people, and maintain servers.. and just lining the pockets of greedy corporations (NCSoft).
  3. Why do you even play mmos? That's the whole point to the genre is to play a "living, breathing world with other people".
  4. You buy gems with real money, then you convert to gold, then you buy gen 1 legendaries from store. Then you buy more gems, exchange for more gold, then buy materials to craft ascended armor. Someone day 1 could buy a level boost or get a collectors edition, boost to 80, bust out the credit card, kit themselves out in legendary weapons, buy all the mats needed to level crafting and craft their ascended armor, all without having to actually play much of the game. That's why gw2 is pay to win.
  5. Boo-hoo, guess what? I work 40 hours a week, and play 40+ during the week including weekends. You know why that is? Priorities. I'm guessing you have things going on more valuable than gaming hence why you don't put in more than 10 hrs, which is fine. But the game shouldn't cater to people who aren't extremely active. And you should be fine with that, because you don't value gaming as highly as other things in life. It doesn't affect you. So just keep playing when you can, enjoy what you can, and leave the value in the long grinds to those of us who want to have something to show off our no-lives on. Thank you.
  6. Good for most people. I'd like more legendary armor options too, it'd be good to have that variety. But who I quoted was specifically talking about raiding and the community surrounding it. Once again, my problem is people expecting to be given things that they themselves do not have the skill or the willingness to get the skill necessary to receive. If you're casual and don't have time to raid/pvp/wvw to get the legendary armor that sucks. But that's life. And it's just a game. Send those good vibe confused faces.
  7. Then they shouldn't get the rewards lol. This is confusing to me. If you're unwilling to do something, then you shouldn't get the benefit of what that thing provides. If you're unwilling to get better and improve and expect to get carried. Then you don't deserve the rewards of that content. People who complain about not having what a small % has, then either go and do it and get it. Or shut up. You shouldn't just be given things because you decided to download the game.
  8. Well there's always the option of hooking your pc up to your TV and using wireless mouse and keyboard lol.
  9. Honestly you just sound like an entitled child that didn't get what they wanted and therefore the entire expac and all future content are ruined. News flash, they are making changes to it, if they didn't care they would have just nerfed it and left it dead. Also, as you listed the other elite specs are interesting (at least to some degree) and they are fun to play with good gameplay. Sorry your favorite is a lemon, but there's other things to play and enjoy while they work this out. But I don't think this one elite spec mix up is doom and gloom for the entire IP as a whole. In a recent post they've stated they're committed to the future of GW2. More so than they have been. So I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. It takes time to fix a sinking ship.
  10. Except there is theory crafting in GW2 and optimized builds for different content. Go to gw2 meta and you can find the optimal build and rotation for whatever class and content you're looking for. Nice try bud.
