  2. ^ This (it's mainly a WvW tactic) I use that tactic allll the time. Great to do from walls when zergs etc(*to avoid pulls). I'd hate to not have that option anymore, would ruin a lot of staff weaver dps players in wvw's day. As above, I just think it'd make it real clunky. If we want more mobility, increase the teleport distance to match mesmer and just remove the damage anet!
  3. Sorry to get you excited 😕 I just mean the normal trail effect when I swing my leggy with it. It fits nicely in the space before the normal effects of the long beam.
  4. I may be the only one, but I like the animation of the particles and the length. But I have my leggy making cool swishing gfx on the inner part of the graphic which compliments it. *EDIT only thing for me is if it is creating some kind of delay on skills or something as i think some have mentioned. Then i'd rather it gone in that case, even if i do like the look.
  5. Love Spears as a weapon in games, was spewwin when I first saw that it was water only.
  6. *Pssst* "Anet. Wanna make a lot of money on mount purchases?" "Bind mount choices and dyes setups to equipment builds" *wink* People like matching mounts to themed equipment builds (Who knew). Every person has multiple equip builds that have different color schemes and styles. I'd love the mount to change as you change equip builds... even if it means my wallet may cry. A win for you, and a win for me!
  7. Oh kitten, I didn't notice that, must have just assumed CD had happened. That is terrible, and should be fixed. (from a roaming WvW perspective) Gotta say, after some time playing with it...I am still looking at the skill bar wondering if 2 & 3 have been cast (mainly 2) and are pulsing, or if I have to re-apply. There is a tether, and I get that...but it can get hectic in pvp and especially when lots of peeps to see it. There def needs to be some changes to the icons to dif colors/mask to show is in pulse mode vs reset. The problem is...I hold off pressing them because I might be cancelling a skill that is active, so creates hesitation and a mess of any kind of rotation. I'm also finding it near impossible to do the otherworldly attraction in combat (offensive on enemy). Sometimes I am mid cast of something, and I miss the chance because it goes so quick. Other times it feels like it does not even come up to use for some reason...maybe this is due to the skill going into cool down because they are not in front of me? and other times...I think it is unable to be done because I am out of energy (Does the attraction pull actually cost energy?). If it does cost energy, I think that needs to be removed for that after effect. So, I was pretty positive on the scepter earlier. But this is starting to fade away with more and more encounters (WvW Roaming)...I'm getting mixed success and I think this is really coming down to when I play against a competent player, then I'm usually ****'d... but if they are average or below, then I may get it over on them. But I'm still soldiering on trying new strategies and builds! I am kinda enjoying the novelty...like another person said... it may have niche play. But it's prob not going to take over other builds I already use which run circles around it with comparable tankiness and actually being able to kill people fast(er). *Edit I never realised that 'kitten' was an auto censor correct... I thought it was just what peeps wrote themselves lmao
  8. This is just terrain advantage, this type of use of glide can be used in any part of that captured area if u have the glide privileges. This is just the advantage of owning that section, and everyone has been on both sides of it, so all evens out.
  9. Been using it a fair bit lately in WvW. Finding it pretty tanky with a barrier build, and tbh feels pretty good 1v1 / 1v2. I've used the target ally on skill #3 never, just does not seem worth it vs on the enemy (to me at least). I wouldn't like upkeep on it though, personally. I agree above that people running about with might already being applied via numerous means, and targeting someone to apply the tether too is like he said very bothersome, and well I'd rather put it on the enemy. Having and ally target you choose that becomes the recipient of a % of barrier that you have might be fun tho. It just flows through while you can still use OWB on the enemy. But all in all, I'm liking it and still finding the best combos that work for me. Time will tell though (*EDIT I might just be in the honeymoon phase of a new shiny thing too, but I see potential)

I've been meaning to come here and ask for a while, but over the last month or two (don't remember when I started noticing exactly) I've noticed that I am getting more reflects in WvW from my staff weaver on zergs. I don't remember lava font ever reflecting, because it's a ground spawn and not a projectile. Is this a new bug that is known, or a change implemented that I didn't see? I suspect that there may be other skills with similar situation too...but it's hard with a zerg to know exactly what is done by you or others. (So, it is quite possible that people are just casting on me, but I'm pretty certain this is not the case) I was just wondering if anyone else is encountering the same thing, and if it has been gone over already.
  11. I'd love to see lightning flash (our teleport) changed to the same distance as the mesmer teleport. This will most likely require the damage removed, but I'd prefer that.

  14. I'd love the tether to have some range on first cast so I can then have a pull for walls in wvw *Edit - After re reading. They can just back up out of range before reaching 'maximum' power and break the tether. So nvm that fantasy 😕
