Hey guys, I was hoping to get some advice on good solo builds at this time. It seems that I am just getting destroyed when doing solo play and my survivability is really limited. Most frustrating is that I just came back to the game after not playing for a long time and I need to get hero points to unlock the new builds but so many of the hero point require me to kill an elite mob which literally 1 shots me once my dodge is on CD. What do you guys recommend. It's even more frustrating because my necromancer literally can just stand still and solo the same stuff without even trying.

Thanks all for the responses, they are very helpful. Like some of you said I feel like I just have to work a lot harder for the same result as my other classes. I tried weaver but being in melee range with a sword was just not working since I couldn't take the dmg so ended up going to tempest with scepter and dagger. I have Zhed's armor right now since I though it might work best for dps and wouldn't take forever to kill mobs but would you guys recommend another armor set?

So I am just returning to GW 2 after a few years of not playing and I am trying to run through that last 2 expacs and get caught up on the story and get my characters up to speed in regards to getting hero points and mastery points. Elementalist has always been my favorite class but I am really struggling at this point. I feel like my ele is just sooooo squishy compared to my mesmer and necromancer who really deal with killing mobs and surviving a lot easier. Even being that squishy I would think maybe she is just a glass cannon but i feel like my dps is pretty even accross the board. The three characters are all similarly geared but I feel like just one melee hit from a regular mob takes half my health when my other classes can survive so much easier and put out around the same amount of dmg. Can someone give me some advice or speculate as to what I am doing wrong or is the ele just that underpowered right now? Thanks for any help!
