Yes, because no one wants to agree, and everyone else thinks their main is the epitome of balance and fine at the same time crying broken about others so hack away at everything that's broken, overpowered, unhealthy design. When everyone is complaining how bad their stuff is because it was brought in line, that's a good indicator of there being actually balance. Then ofc we nerf whatever else that pops up being stupidly strong. Shouldn't be sarcasm, Willbender is stupid broken and really just is pure powercreep. Virtue traitline should only be giving 1 or 2 seconds of boons at most and the condi cleanse should only be 1 and only for the willbender, their F3 and F1 should be getting damage cuts and increased animation wind up.

No keep nerfing the overperforming things, there's still so many unhealthy design and overpowered things in this game that still need to come down, but fly under the radar because the now hip hot things are taking the spotlight. Screw buffing, it makes the game awful and powercreeps things. Right now Willbender, Harbinger, Vindicator, and Ranger should totally get nerf bat into the dirt the next patch and there will be more work to be done after that.
  5. Nope we handle this on a wait and see what becomes oppressive basis. Nerf all the others first before moving onto the next set, because currently those other classes have too many things broken about them. We can't do buffs because people are so against the idea of buffing underperforming things in light of OMG POWERCREEPJKSJIFBF and the sheer thought of it makes them hide in the corner in the fetal position praying Arenanet doesn't do it. So only nerfs are the way to go, going forward.

I don't think Spellbreaker needs buffs, it's just a matter of fact that every other class has some sort of broken and overtuned mechanic that needs to be nerfed/gutted, , utilities having too low of a cooldown and a good effect, having too much damage. Still need more nerfs to classes like Rev, Ranger, Guardian, Thief, and necro. Also with range damage they should make a general change with projectile range skills having damage drop off on players they're striking get too close, like a 50% power damage drop off.

  8. You broke it down correctly, yep. Though I don't like how you're downplaying nade kit taking a slot up like the value isn't there, not to mention you get one shot nades from toolbelt skill if you WvW on it, and Mortar kit takes a elite skill slot over a utility slot. You can't sell me on kits having downsides with having no cd swapping between them and benefits from weapon swapping sigils. A downside for kits would be like if you had a cooldown after swapping out of it, and locked you out of your utility skills while using a kit like Death Shroud does. TrollingDemigod speaks truth. Scrapper is also busted spec in the long run. Sounds like a healthy changes for the game. Stay mad, and throw a fit, when the changes comes or if it doesn't. I'm not the one in charge of balancing the game at the end of the day, it's CMC. I'm calling out unhealthy game design and you're fuming over my 'opinion' on it. Are you scared he's going to look at this thread and actually get to work on doing this? Lmao. You bring up chasing a mortar or nade engi, but then you stop chasing a mortar nade engi, and they turn around and continue to spam the same high damage projectiles at you. Then again what can i expect from a thief player, when they have all the options to just leave as they please from a situation like that lol.
  9. Currently both need to be evaluated and changed regardless If I git gud or not, sorry to break it to you but it's for healthier gameplay, and just because you don't agree with it doesn't mean it's not correct.
  10. The point is If it were just a single traitline, and not a traitline + utilities + class mechanics + weapons there'd be something to debate here. Elite specs get out of hand because it also dips its hands into core spec abilities and traits. No matter how you cut it, core is part of the problem. I don't have to go over the other E-specs, they all fall under the same point I made, and all of them use core abilities and traits. So your point to only nerf elite specs when something about them overperforms or produces not healthy gameplay, but with the core spec component being the cause of the issue is kind of a silly thing. Sounds like you can't adapt if it gets changed, if you're telling me to git gud 😆 SB needs a nerf, but in the same way Mortar and Grenade Kit does.
  11. When Holo, Scrapper, or any Elite specs for that matter becomes more than 80% of the core class, we can talk about nerfing only Elite specs over core. Just because its core and the core class is not performing well comparative to the E-spec counter parts isn't a good excuse not to . The change suggested is all about commitment, stay and shoot or kite, you shouldn't be able to have both, it'll be healthier gameplay, because the current function is there's no draw back. We're trying to bring power creep down, not up. Buffing would mean more unneeded power creep, not to mention I find it comical that others who are on classes that weren't really hit by that big patch say the other classes are fine and balanced now. CMC has the right idea, and needs to hydrate to put the rest of the overperforming BS under the table. Why would you be against spreading around good game design and gameplay?? Thief SB should be changed too. It's bad for the game.
  12. Lets be real here, give elementalist Celestial amulet in Structured PVP and it'll be faceroll like everything else, just like its wvw counter part. Something something, 4 elementalist and 1 theif. It's really all on builds, not really the class as a whole.

I'm sorry but just because CORE power engineer isn't performing well does not mean traits and skills associated with it should be getting a free pass to not get any of its skills re-examine and adjusted. You bring up core having to get nerfed into unplayability, but that didn't stop core mesmer, warrior and other classes from getting hit with changes, I don't know why you think it should be a different case for core engineer specific skills. I'd be fine having Mortar kit and Grenade kit taking a back seat in usability until they get proper reworks then, since it appears to be too much to ask having ranged weapon skills only being useable in front of you so you can't just spam pressure behind you and run away.
