Success! This worked: Press F11 and scroll down to "Combat/Movement" (right under "Restore Defaults" button). There's a "Ground Targeting:" selection. If it's set to "instant" or "fast with range indicator", change it to "normal". -
Tried these ideas no help. The ICON for prismatic has a 2 second active time by the time i move the mouse up to the other ship the icon resets.

At the beginning of EOD i'm on a ship and asked to leap to others. I click on prismatic leap and I just jump in place or fall overboard. I tried special action and that didn't help. Searched the internet not helpful. After click prismatic leap what key or action do I need to perform to actually leap to the other ship? Thanks.

In episode 2 sky pirates, aether investigation I've found all the missing clues to the Aether base. Killed all the pirates that spawned. My progress bar is 3/4 full and I don't know what to do to progress. I can't find any Aether pirates. It says to complete events, does this mean renown hearts? Doesn't seem to move my progress bar. Any thoughts?

Sylvari, boosted to 80 and did some hot and pof, not much though. Should I go back to the personal story for a sylvari? Worth the time, or should I stick to hot? I got the glider and mount though. Looking back, I think boosting was a mistake.

Just started EOD Convergence and it says to go to Eye of the North and meet Aurene. I used the hall of monuments rune to travel to the eye of the north. Aurene is not in the hall, nor is there a green story icon on the map to show aurene's location in far shiverpeaks. I have not finished any previous living world or POF, POT stories, so haven't hatched Aurene's egg prior to EOD. TIA

Thank you all. I never heard of event timers and meta events. Thanks for the link to metabattle. I find the core game to be very enjoyable as a solo player. I need to group for the expansions, what I'v played of them I enjoy the storyies and artwork. Need to update my game.

Thank you for the link, very helpful. I was avoiding playing POT further as it is difficult. I'm finding expansions are wonderful stories and art work, but difficult for a sub-average combat skilled player.

I have a glider and mushroom bouncing but cannot reach the top of the beginning quest Citadel. I see the white swirling updrafts but nothing happens when i glide into them. Do I need a flying mount from POF first? The mushrooms don't seem to get me to the top of the citadel, but maybe i'm missing something.

Thanks for the quick response. I switched to a,d and that helps. Q rather than v seems easier. I'll try auto run. My mouse has two side buttons keyed to attacks 1,2. That helps a lot. Well worth upgrading from a generic mouse. Experience will help. Standing still and hitting is not good for sure!

I find using the q, e, s, v keys in combat to move around awkward. Any better way, or is this the only way?

Thank you for the quick assist. Didn't know you can take an 80 to central tyria as a lower level character. Will do that rather than restart. I find the GW2 community to be very helpful. The wiki is great! -
Noob here. Made the mistake of leveling a 23 to 80 necro. Celestial stats look good, but should I aim for better? What is better? Is it available from TP? I've got a lot to learn. My restart my necro at level 1. Love the game.

I am such a noob. I it has been a year since I played and I need to relearn my controls. I think I'll restart at level 1 with this profession to relearn my skills. Thanks for the quick assist.

In living world 2 Fallen Hope, Dry Top, I'm asked to use a blue ascend a crystal to ascend a cliff. I've run through the blue crystal, jumped on it, etc. But I never use the wind to ascent to the cliff. Anyone remember this task? Any help would be appreciated.

Read the Wiki and internet, explains the types of kits but not how to get them. Are they assigned to f2-f5 as you level up? Purchase them?
