  2. I can see your point, I just think that all the current legendary armors look awful though and I personally love anything to do with dragons. It wouldn't be too much different from having to build new legendary weapons every time they release a new set of them though(Keeping in mind that you do have to build five armor pieces as opposed to two weapons). Possibly they could make the mystic forge recipe use the existing legendary armors as the recipe so you're not build an entire set from scratch just altering your currently built set

That's definitely what I have in mind with this, and I think the increased power and support the turrets offer is paid for in the fact the you have choose three traits over other ones to enhance your turrets. The Jade Bot getting an extra weapon based off your currently equipped engineering kit would help a lot as well, since a very large portion of builds for the engineer revolve around the kits with this change you would feel like it's worth it to use the kits as a mechanist.
  4. Will there ever be new legendary armors? I can understand Anet not wanting to release many before, but with the EOD campaign wrapping up the Elder Dragon story I wouldn't mind having an Aurene set to match the new weapons and I'm sure a lot of people wouldn't mind legendary armor to match the new legendary Elder Dragon variants that will be releasing soon.
  5. Maybe so, in the very least I would like more options to develop and grow my character, character progression feels very stale after awhile since all you get is the choice of one elite specialization
  6. Although the Mechanist has a lot of DPS/Support potential with just the three mech abilities, it still feels like we lost something from the former tool belts 5 skills so I would like to maybe see a couple more mech commands/abilities to use

Engineer Improvements- Split experimental turrets into two trait on different columns of the trait line Experimental turrets- This trait would stay the same with no changes Advanced turrets- This trait would allow your turrets to share your defense and offense stats to increase their damage and survivability, each turret gets a share of all of your stats but each gets more of the stats that benefit it the most as well. Thumper turret- Receives twice as much of your Vitality and Toughness Flame turret- Receives 1.5x as much of your Condition Damage and Expertise Rifle turret- Receives 2x as much of your Power Rocket turret- Receives 1.5x as much of your Ferocity and Precision Healing turret- Receives 2x as much of your Healing Power and Concentration Net Turret- Receives 2x as much of your Expertise Mechanist Improvements- Mech Engineering Kits-Make one of the mandatory traits have a new addition to allow Jade Mechs to gain new auto cast abilities or as an F4 and/or F5 skill based on equipped engineering kits and equip it's own version of the engineering kit to be used alongside it's normal attack, these extra weapons would not interrupt the flow of its normal attacks but rather would alongside them Flamethrower Kit- Mech gains flamethrower on its arm and the ability to randomly enhance itself and nearby allies with burning on attacks F4/F5 Abilities Mech sets down a fire ring that burn foes inside and severely damages foes that cross the threshold Mech sets down a persistent smoke cloud that blinds enemies, and at the end of its duration would combust into a fiery explosion Mortar Kit- Mech gains a mortar on its shoulder, and randomly enhances itself and nearby allies with explosion on hit F4/F5 Abilities Mech launches a mortar barrage at the target location Mech mortars change to Status mortars for a duration inflicting little damage but instead putting many statuses on the targets hit Grenade Kit- Mech gains a grenade launcher on its arm, and randomly enhances itself and nearby allies with Vulnerability on hit F4/F5 Abilities Mech launches gravity grenades that deal reduced damage but drag enemies into the explosion site and inflict Crippled status Mech launches grenades that upon exploding will cluster in to multiple smaller grenades Bomb Kit- Mech gains a mine layer on its back that trigger on enemy proximity, and randomly enhances itself and allies with Slowness on hit F4/F5 Abilities Mech lays down mines in a 360 radius around it inflicting burning and poison upon detonation Mech mines become stun mines for a duration stunning enemies hit to give a moment to regroup and heal in battle Medkit- Mech gains a healing cloud sprayer on its arm, and randomly enhances itself and allies with healing bursts on hit F4/F5 Abilities Enhances mechs healing sprays to inflict poison on enemies for a duration Enhances mechs healing sprays to also grant Quickness and Alarcity to those affected for a duration Tool Kit- Mech gains the abilitiy to heal itself when needed, and randomly enhances itself and nearby allies with Stability F4/F5 Abilities Mech throw armor piles around made from its tool kit, when picked up provide protection and stability for a duration Mech overcharges gaining increased stats all around, and granted reduced cooldowns on all its abilities except this one for a duration Jade turrets- Add an addition to one of the final traits upgrades turrets with jade tech giving them hover capabilities, the turrets will either hover near your Jade Mech if in guard mode or you if the mech is in avoid combat mode. Each turret would also receive a new passive function Healing turret- Disperses a poison cloud alongside its healing aura Thumper Turret- Casts taunt every 5-10 seconds to draw enemy attention to it, Also has a front facing energy shield that can block attacks and projectiles in front of it Flame Turret- Casts smoke clouds every so often to blind enemies Rocket Turret- Rockets have a chance to inflict Immobilization on enemies Rifle Turret- Shots have a chance to inflict Crippled status on enemies Net Turret- Shots have a chance to inflict Slowness on enemies
  9. I know the idea is a bit off the wall, but I just want something to further expand my character. I understand that Anet doesn't like power creep, but class customization feels a bit stale after awhile since you pick up an Elite spec at level 80 and then never get to do anything else with your class or character.. The whole concept of the dragon tamer is just what I would personally love for my character, although I do understand it's a far fetched idea

I propose an idea to increase build and customization variety for character in the form of Callings, these would be a sub class that any character can choose one of regardless of profession and would have it's own trait line and abilities to pour your excess hero points into. These can be assigned alongside a Elite Specialization. I only have a few ideas for them so far, but let me present those two Dragon Tamer- Gives you a dragon companion to follow you and aid in combat somewhere in size between a skyscale and a saltspray dragon. Would be a heavily defensive class Dragons element/magic type and appearance can be separately changed at a specialized NPC to allow variety based on existing dragon type in game Would provide dragon based abilities that the player can cast that can be assigned to the right side of the hotbar Dragon command abilities would be assigned to F6-F10 as needed Would provide a new main hand and off hand weapon for the class, which I propose as a gunlance and tower shield since I'm fond of that combo from other games Access to two taunts, one for the player as a trait that triggers on critical hit and one for the dragon that is a command ability Demonologist- Allow you to summon demons and other like creatures to aid in combat similar to a warlock class Eldritch Occultist- Allows you to channel eldritch magics from other planes of existence focused on Condition DPS and some minor summoning potential Aurene's Champion- Allows you to fully integrate with you role as Aurene's champion and channel her power into new prismatic abilities heavily focused on support
  12. As the title say I would like the ability to color my Jade Mech and Jade bot to fit the color theme of my armor.
  13. Allow some implementation of the explosion proc with the mace, either on auto-attack or skills or from traits. I currently run an explosion build for my Engineer using mortar gun to proc explosion traits, and I can understand having to pick between mace and mortar gun but would like mace to be able to proc explosion traits reliably or semi reliably.
