  1. I don't want willbender to have the same fate of firebrand. I was enjoying a lot to play firebrand as solo roamer in wvw or with burts builds in pvp, but because the support was overclocker they nerfed it to the ground (and it was needed dont get me wrong). But now from what I am seeing people already crying about willbender, I don't want the F virtues to have a 2 minutes cooldown. Yeah they start with 10 seconds more cds, then another 25, and finally they just go over 1 minute cd, and it's stupid. The f3 on 25 seconds cd is busted, but just rework it so it doesn't give stab to allies anymore when traited, but resistance to allies and stab for you, willbender is not a support spec and shouldn't be even if it has a healing power trait to spec into it, it makes no sense, it's a roamer damage dealer, not a healer. Just please don't gut things to the ground like you always do.
  2. I tried all possible willbender builds. Hammer is super fun, nothing to say, you can get sick combos and bursts, but it's a pug stomper weapon. You won't kill good players with it. The best build around is Radiance 2 3 3 Virtues 1 2 3 Willbender 2 3 2 Marauder Divinity for perfect 60% crit + 40% of RI. Scepter/focus + sword/sword You can play gs over scepter/focus just preference. In my opinion even if it's better than hammer, greatsword suffers the same problem, hard to land on good players, locked into whirling animation too much, and also the new utility skill of willbender whirling light is already a better gs2. Scepter focus gives you insane 1vs1 pressure, defense, range and good cleave. Even tho you arw to supposed to play like a shiro herald don't underestimate it's 1vs1 power especially on people who are short of cds. I didn't try burn builds, not my style, I find them cheesy and kitten to play,but maybe they do work, no idea. In the end if you don't care of rank and wanna have fun play anything you want really.

I tried the standard radiance virtues willy valk build, the damage is nuts, but sustain is garbage, lot of times you have to waste all your mobility skills just to survive instead of using them aggressively for kills, leaving you without cooldowns. Maybe running meditation will be the way as usual to have more survivability. The buffs definitely felt good, but I don't think it's better than shiro herald in the current meta.
  4. It is one of the stronger boons available. More frequent windows to completely deny damage, which is better than any passive heal, damage reduction etc.

  6. Aegis is a much bigger problem, everytime you team fight and the enemy has a sup guard it's all block block block block block block immune immune immune block block block invuln..." and repeat.
  7. You forgot it's also instacast, casted while you are CCed as well. You cannot counter it unless an instinct prediction when the thief is going to use it and hope he does. A good thief never miss his steal, like 1 out of 10 maybe.
  8. Celestial is the go to for the majority of specs and especially for elementalist is a god mode. Probably use Lord Hizen build. Go check his youtube channel he has pve solo builds for every profession, good for really hard content, but also for everything else concerning open world.
  9. Not really. You should multiclass every single class and build, especially the meta ones, become at least decent at them. But aftet that you gotta choose a main to really go deep and master. Real good players like boyce have 2-3 mains who can play effectively at top tier. But the average player should focus on only 1 max 2 and get the max experience out of it. As I said it's important to play every single at a decent level to understand the mechanics when you will face them at enemy, but then it's advised to stick to a main and perfect it. Otherwise you will be just ok at everything, but good at nothing. You can't pass plat2 in few words.
  10. They should just make them as DoTs and not as burst like in every other mmo. The more the stay on you the more damage you get at the end. And I don't understand bleeding and burning, they have no identity, burning just ticks for 10k in barely few seconds, so why bleeding exist? Poison has the heal reduction, torment is about moving, confusion about skill casting. I don't understand cripple either, when chill is 100 times stronger. They should get rid of condis that do the exact same thing, remove the burst aspect of them and rework them once for all. Now we are not in a condi focused meta, but slowly we are getting there again. Harbis will play condi 100% now after nerfs, same for specter which is still good in the hands of top players like sindrener who plays power, but condi right now seems stronger. Mechs are starting to play condi again. Lots of untamed, unless you are boyce or rom, just go condi because it's easier. Virtuoso is still bad, but condi is 100 times better than power. Willbender and bladesworn are the only ones who runs power effectively.

  12. Hey guys, recently I lowered my graphics to gain some fps, but I noticed I cannot see anymore when an enemy harbinger casts shroud5. So i walk into it and get floated because I see nothing on the ground. Anyone knows which is the setting to see it again? It's a bit hassle to try all of them one by one. Thanks
  13. Maybe they thought about this, and thought it was too much. Creating a combo is way easier than getting an aura that's why. You could simply drop water sphere and dodge with earth using arcane and you get already the area healing combo plus all the traits benefits you are saying. Combo fields happen so easy and often. Maybe people will start crying how broken that is.
  14. It is oppressive below gold2-3. But since when you are plat you can be matches with lower elo teammates because of low population, it can be a real pug stomper and look crazy op. Don't get me wrong, it's an ape tier build, low risk high reward, but nowhere near being broken or something. It's a build for casuals, who wanna play and stomp pugs, nothing more. Another reason it shines it's because nobody runs toughness amulets, everyone is in berserker, avatar, carrion, marauder. Playing as lr catalyst (grimjack build) yesterday I got hit by a 11k trueshot, I was too late to go earth for protection plus reflect, it's crazy, but expected, I'm not going into the forum saying how broken that ability is. I play an high risk high reward build, it's normal. I do agree trapper runes it's cheesy and shouldn't be allowed anymore, same as they removed/nerfed all other runes and amulets, that needs to go. Pro tip, if you fail to dodge the spear and you get caught, don't panic, watch their character animation, as soon they hit the pull, insta break free and you will stop after few "range" like 450 or less, and you probably won't even proc or enter the traps zone, it's just having good muscle memory and a stunbreak always ready for it. Of course if you are with no cds, you are dead no matter what, dh or not nothing much changes. Have fun.

The population is simply too low, and you get matched maybe with gold3 players which are substantially better than silver ones, same as if you are low gold and get matched with plat players, you immediately see the gap difference, people tryhard kite, jump puzzle to escape, instant map awareness if you are about to get 1vs2 on a point. If you are silver and you are doing a 1vs1, maybe another enemy or 2 come to 3vs1 you, then you insta die or try to leave when it's too late, and that's a big loss for your team. Now literally every class has big mobility, if you kite too late you are pretty much dead, those things comes with experience and game knowledge. Of course if your team is all daily pvers and the enemy is plat it's 500-10 game and nothing you can do, but move to the next game.
