Well, that's exactly why you don't notice as much if any problem. Your hardware is old enough that it still recognizes their old engine as nice and shiny. Newer hardware doesn't run old engines well. - I would like to see them finish the DX11 upgrade and hopefully it gets better once it's all said and done but if not then maybe they'll start work on GW3 (probably not but we can hope?) and a new engine if they have no plans to upgrade the current engine.
