  1. My main class is Ranger, and I love the Soulbeast. I support this idea. Soulbeast is doing too much damage too quickly right now.
  2. If this is intended behavior, I would love to see a shortcut character swap button introduced. I don't know what is involved in that, but it would:a.) lend some legitimacy to this feature (which, until I saw this thread, I had always thought was a bit of exploitation as well)b.) help streamline this process to avoid long loading screens which can cause a player to show up late if they swap.
  3. I would like to see more Warclaw skins. I can't even buy any right now.
  4. In my mind, the downed state has always been intended as a means of hope for a defeated player, a possibility of against the odds comeback. However, it seems it has become, instead, a means of trapping and excluding a player from a match. By only coming back in time to prevent a player from rising, a defeated player can be kept in down state for a very lengthy and very frustrating amount of time with no way to surrender or recover. I personally see this as a cheap method of match manipulation. No one should be forced to wait an arbitrary and additional idle or "near-idle" time in a match after already being defeated. I would like to suggest a remedy: An abandoned down player should automatically recover more quickly. Abandonment could be measured in time since last damage or distance from enemy players. But, if a player is downed, and the attacker leaves, the player should have an opportunity to recover at an enhanced speed. Attacking players should be required to finish their kills. Alternatively, there could be a rapid surrender button by which the player could choose to give up.
  5. The evolution of this post was amazing <3 It was like watching realization creep in writing.
  6. Do we have any reason to think it WON'T cost 250g? The Griffon had collections, too... Yes, that would be an added insult. Actually, I'm OK with the time gate for the Skyscale although not crazy about it. BUT, if at the end of however many days it takes, we're hit with a requirement that costs 100s of gold, I will be miffed. To put it mildly. I heard we're not out of the woods yet.. and there is gonna be a feeding part that some one said will require grow lamps or something that's time gated. I can't wait to find out what it is.. Yes, I was OK with the first few collections/scavenger hunts, now I read there are timegates within timegates and I'm not happy. The absolute worst part is not knowing exactly how long it will take or what resources you should be stockpiling in advance for each step. It's driving me crazy...

  8. I just finished the Eggs collection, and, suddenly, I can't move forward on this for another 14 hours. Seriously, why? This is how you make your fans angry, ANet; not how you make them engaged in the content.
  9. I upgraded my mid 2015 MacBook Pro (with discrete GPU) to High Sierra yesterday, and my framerate in Guild Wars 2 dropped from around 30fps to 5fps, even when I turn things down. I think GW2 is using the non-discrete card, but I can't figure out a way to force it to change (I did turn off the automatic switching option in MacOS, which should have forced everything to the high end GPU, but that isn't working). I've been looking, but I can't:a.) figure out a way to make sure GW2 is running off of the discrete card andb.) if anyone else is having this issue or not. Any ideas? Thanks! [update: After switching the "automatic switching" option off AND rebooting my Mac, the game started working correctly. I hope this helps someone in the future.]
  10. I love the new maps. I think their size and depth is amazing.I love the new mounts.I love that the Griffon was not foretold in the marketing.I love the Southern Shiverpeaks area.I love the inclusion of GW1 lore.I love the Tomb of Primeval Kings. I really enjoyed the story. It had some twists I did not expect. I wish it had gone further.I really enjoy there are not huge map usurping meta narratives going on. I think those have a place in the game (like Dragon Stand or Orr), but I'm happy to not see them in PoF. I'm sad the Griffon costs so much. I am a casual player. It will probably be months before I can get it.
