  1. Hmmm... Not really. you played necro WvW lately?
  2. Yes! And I soooo would like it if the game was designed to make that possible. It seems to be getting further and further away from that idea.
  3. Bottom line is poor decisions by developers = loss of pleasure playing the game for your average player. Some game modes are also hit harder than others. That would leave anyone searching for a reason why a decision is made.....
  4. Imho, How many years has this game been out? And they continue to struggle with game balance even tho they can also balance across game modes?
  5. Yes, it's moves like this that makes me think Anet has lost the people that really know the game.
  6. As a fellow Necro WvW player I also love the staff. The quintessential necro weapon with the awesome scythe graphic. I run it more than I should. Why? Great question, it actually hits like a wet noodle. 1200 range is great but it just tickles enemy players and causes them to focus you. We all know what happens to a WvW necro when they are targeted/focused = dead in 3sec. Marks are like a trap and have to be triggered. It would be nice if they had more bite, or at least a few strips...
  7. Thanks Lily.1935 This topic/problem needs to get the attention of Anet. In my simple small brain understanding of the game, have long thought that placing shades should be a much faster cast. The Scourge class makes you work for it, that's for sure.
  8. Wow R.I.P support Scourge. A unique and cool spin on healing with a Necromancer raising people from the dead. It was great for the game and now gone. Reminds me of the Rise build in WvW. Players came up with a Minion build that worked and it was very creative and fun to play as well as watching others use it on the battlefield. Anet detected fun and creativity and quickly nerfed it.
  9. Soooo.... Can't Anet scrap the whole Blight mechanic? (not a fan) I have seen many forum users come up with great ideas.
  10. Yes, I am with you on that one!
  11. Well... The whole idea of a Dark Gunslinger sounds cool but I find it hard to relate to the Necromancer theme. I get the game designers were trying to come up with something new and innovative but as many of us have stated in the past a gunslinger works so much better with the Hunter/thief persona. The common definition of a Necromancer is.. Necromancy (/ˈnɛkrəmænsi/)[1][2] is the practice of magical sorcery involving communication with the dead by summoning their spirits as apparitions or visions, or by resurrection for the purpose of divination; imparting the means to foretell future events; discovery of hidden knowledge; “returning a person to life”, or to use the dead as a weapon. That purpose of divination part is where the name Harbinger comes from. I'm sure gunslinger idea was just an artistic thought searching for something new and innovative Does it work? Well, I don't think so, because it gets away from the spooky origin of the necromancer theme. I think the class would have been better served if they would have stuck to a gothic theme of a dark magic undertaker or embalmer and possibly played up more on the use of a new type of ghost minion? I also think the ghostly spirit theme is not represented enough in the necromancer class. They need to think more classic spooky, less western cowboy.
  12. Nice work! I would only hope that Anet appreciates the time and effort GW2 community members put into ideas like this. It really shows a level of love and understanding of the game. I have seen so many creative ideas posted here that it gives me hope that the game will continue to evolve.
  13. Yes it has some of the same drawbacks as other Necro classes and builds. It is based on this build below. I like mine better. Seems to hit hard and staff gives you range to poke at enemies. What I like about it is that I can almost ignore the goofy Blight mechanic. Quote from Video=( With some diviner stat gear for about +50% boon uptime your DPS scrappers and other classes with channeling or slow casting skills will love you. Not only you'll prebuff your whole party with ALL boons, but you will also be a source of party-wide quickness + fury. With last 12 months of nerfs to quickness skills Harbinger remains one of the last reliable sources of good quickness uptime for the party. It won't replace SCOURGE or REAPER, as they have different ROLES. Big CC, big hits (especially for a hybrid) and as long as you know when to stop spamming projectiles you will be a great asset to your party / squad. Projectile reflects are your enemy, so build requires some getting used to, or it will be actually harming the team)
