I was looking for an MMO that I could just bumble about, having fun solo in and was ftp or very cheap. Due to poor health I wasn't looking to push the limits, get really serious, join a guild in an MMO again. That may seem counter-intuitive but I still like seeing other people going about their business and making it feel like a lived in world. Coming from nearly 14yrs playing Age of Conan, great game but so dead now. I watched a vid about GW2 and decided to give it a try and I'm glad I did.
I like just flying lazily about on my Skyscale. Not going for speed, just floating about and enjoying the scenery. Divebombing skiffs and skimming the waters.
Making little circuits in Lion's Arch to speed around on my beetle. Going drifting in the deserts.
Everyone getting credit/loot from kills.
The downed state and everyone being able to resurrect and getting rewarded for doing so.
The music in The Grove.
The Quaggan swimming song.
The feeling when I got my Griffon and Skyscale.
The Seasonal events.
Character customisation.
Skritt (stuff, stuff, stuff)
