I can't find where I said it used to deal 41k dps in 2012-2013 ?

It's not even about not being familiar with a class but more, when you're on a boss with 49 players, it's hard to read what's happening, even when you disable effects from other players. They could draw an ugly white 1/2/3 on the skill 1, it would be better than nothing. And I have to agree on the fact that we need a way to customize UI, like changing map or chat position.

It's not a big powercreep if you check snowcrow's benchmark. Power weaver used to deal 41k, now it deals 44k at best. There are builds reaching 46k too, and we still need to test things to see if other builds could reach higher damage. For now, the main problem imo is scourge overshadowing every other DPS in the game, with almost the most easy gameplay possible and 49k DPS. However, they did a good job by reworking boondps (even if there are still clunky builds like qdps Berserker), but it affected healers a lot, while HFB is still the best in term of flexibility, and capibility to give stab. Qdps Herald is very good because it uses the full potential of the core class, while qheal Herald is constantly denying sources of healing to give boons, while not being able to give stab. For me, the main problem is more towards boonhealers and gameplay changes from the last big patch than the powercreep itself.

Same problem here, we're supposed to have an achievement count but it doesn't appear. I tested to revive NPCs, players completly dead, players down, nothing works. Swapping character or reconnecting to the game doesn't work too.

For those like me using Action Camera, you need to zoom out to 1000% to maybe be able to reach the center of the platform, and not fall into your death (or get stuck INSIDE the platform), otherwise it's impossible. You can still swap camera mode during fight but it's extremely disturbing. Having something above each platform seems a good solution. Plus, replace the special skill with the 1 of grapple in CM: swapping to the grapple to use the grapple is completly stupid.

I would understand OP points from a raid/strikes/frac PoV, but from OW PoV ? I do agree on the clunky aspects, that targetting is a problem. But it's not because you're playing an elite spec that you need to play with the weapon and all the skills from this elite spec. It's the whole system of GW2. An OW build is so free that you can't really complain about an elite spec, unless all traits are really useless or focused on the unlocked weapon/skills. If you compare it to Daredevil, there are traits where you need to use a staff or skills unlocked with this spec. Specter and most of elite specs use this system, but Specter traits give you something in return even if you're not using wells/scepter. From a Raid/Strikes PoV, yes, Specter is really boring in term of rotation, it's really easy. But that's a good thing sometimes to play a class that is simple to play, especially for people who played Elem/Engineer for a very long time. Honestly, I though when they announced this elite spec, that Thief would be able to support allies while attacking enemies. And I don't know why they didn't do that, with lower values if your attack hit an ally while you're targetting an enemy, and the same if you target an ally first. Maybe it's too hard to code, but if they're able of doing that, I don't know why they didn't rework Specter in that way.

I was playing an OW build using 4 signets with that trait. Anet just decided to destroy it. Same for the trait reducing my elite CD skill, gone (and most of thief's elite skills are uninteresting). That was a very fun build to play with ton of enemies around you, you could really dodge everywhere while killing everyone. Might be very strong, but it's OW after all, and it's not like Mesmer could solo almost every boss in OW atm... We have more condition cleanse and... 1 initiative. What for ? If it's for PvP/WvW content, it's simple, add this for these modes only, you did that since years Anet.

I have the exact same problem. I started the introduction of End of Dragons on monday and left just after that. Today I'm totally unable to play more than 10 seconds to the game. At the beggining I had crashes with error message, so I tried to delete latest update from Windows (related to a c0000005 error), then it changed the error when I tried again. I had no clue on how to solve the problem so I tried to repair the launcher, it changed nothing. I disabled DirectX11 beta and now I have the same problem as the OP, screen is stuck but you can still move and hear sound effects.
