  1. GW2 itself is kind of end game. The leveling process is just a huge exploration/adventure until end game content. I agree with the "quote from random person" being meaningless since I don't really look at it as "oh this person said it's good, so it has to be!". I see quotes as just text space for the developer to sell me something so I would suggest using text space for something different. Maybe showing off mounts with text saying something about the mount feature. It's not a perfect example but I'd suggest using text space differently either way.
  2. I loved every bit of it really. The story was past my expectation when it comes to living world, same for the map. I also had a lot of fun with the trash mobs that many are disliking. So, good work on a quality release Anet.
  3. I don't think it's fair to blame the devs since it could be an NCsoft analyst telling GW2 to implement something, but I hope there is a change of some sort to the system.
  4. Its a SKIN.there is an option to change mount skins in the hero-menu In the hero menu it is showing as locked for me... has a lock symbol over it. Let me guess... because I don't have the original griffon mount, then I cant use it... crapThat's right. It's another issue people have with this system. If you get 3 griffon skins in a row, for example, then you can't use them until you get the griffon mount.
  5. The issue people have is that right now they don't have any skins in the store that they can buy directly. Also there's an argument to be had of how this has affected Anet's reputation both with the player base and those outside. Dulfy and Jim Sterling have already made comments condemning this system as it is right now where both influencers have an audience outside of just GW2 players.
  6. I think it's a good example that people really do like the skins but are frustrated that they can't buy the ones they want directly like you can with gliders and outfits.
  7. I don't know if I can add any unique opinions to this already huge conversation; however, I can say this new RNG mount skin system sucks. I don't want to guess whether it'll take 400 gems or 2000 gems to get that skin I'd really like. I get this was a move for the company to make profit on a game with a very dynamic player count (being popular near an expansion before dwindling until the next), but if Anet knows it's consumers then they had to have known how this would turn out. For the majority, outfits and glider skins can be bought individually. Those stuffed into Black Lion Chests are more tolerable just because there are a large number elsewhere in the gem shop. Compare that to these skins where there is no majority of mount skins elsewhere on the gem shop where you can individually purchase them. A similar situation would be putting every single outfit in the gem store into one of these RNG boxes that unlocks a random one. Few would tolerate it and fewer would purchase the boxes. I'm also concerned about the reputation of GW2 that follows. This outrage has leaked past the forums to where Dulfy and Jim Sterling have given disapproval on this RNG system where both have a larger audience than those that just play GW2. This system has already damaged Anet's reputation which won't easily be repaired.
  8. I think an item that can endlessly change the color of your eyes would be amazing. Something where you can change your eye color to match an outfit without the only option being to buy a makeover kit just because you want green eyes instead of purple or something like that. I'd love to see this in the gem store one day, what about your thoughts?
