  1. As far as simple fixes: Could ANET leave the queue popup open even when you select to travel. This way if you fail to enter the map you can retry.
  2. Do you play on NA or EU? NA What team were you on during January 12-26? Reaper's Corridor What team were you on during January 26-February 2? Giant's Rise If there is a day of the week and time of day you usually play, what are they? Any time on weekends. Evenings during weekdays. Did your world restructuring matchups feel more or less balanced than your regular WvW Server matches? The matchups seemed more balanced. Did you select a WvW Guild for the beta? Yes. Was your guild part of a larger alliance guild? No. Were there usually commanders around during your normal playtime? Sometimes but do not need a commander to enjoy WvW. Which week felt most balanced and enjoyable for you? The fights were always better than my normal WvW server. What part of world restructuring felt the most well executed? Have not been placed on the wrong team but I am in a small WvW guild. What part of world restructuring feels like it has the most room for improvement? Do not over stack worlds where there are queues on every map for several hours during reset. Maybe do not have a WvW bonus event during betas to see how the population would be under normal circumstances.
  3. I also averaged 1000 ranks per year but I have been playing WvW as my main game mode since the release of the game.
  4. This was true years ago when EotM was played but only those who played at least 12 hours per day karma training in EotM reached diamond rank. Ranks were never handed out like candy and casual players would be no where near diamond rank. But this seems like it now an old wives tale on these forums. There has been plenty of time to reach diamond rank through WvW. I think the best way to compare EotM playtime vs WvW playtime is to compare supply generator to supply camp captures. Here are my stats (at the time of this post) for these: 23001 Supply Camps 386 Supply Generator So I have spent 23001/(23001 + 386) = 98.35% of time time in WvW. Now if you look at Gw2Mists you will find there are many other players with rank and supply camp captures that are similar to mine who have ranked up in WvW.
  5. I was thinking this as well let CCs, stun breaks, and stability exist in a separate area for balancing. Then let corrupts be the counter to boons like it was intended before the expansions were released.
  6. I was a player who played for my server at the beginning. I think most WvW players played for their server a long time ago. I think eventually all servers will die off or become unrecognizable from transfers. It was just the smaller servers that experienced this first.
  7. Have you considered how WvW is for other servers though? The server I am on became a link and had most of its veteran players transfer away. It is also a server that has remained open so it gets stacked with new players and WvW casuals. This causes a few problems for my server. Reset nights are tough because of the lack of veteran players. Usually the Eternal Battlegrounds map is a very bad experience until a couple hours into reset when the casuals log off. If I want to help my server win I feel like I am forced into playing a small selection of builds that can carry a fight. If I want to get easy wins in WvW I could transfer to a stacked server, but this seems boring to me as well. I would rather have world alliances where I would experience more random matchups. The server system is also very bad for new players who join an open linked server like mine and find that they need to transfer to have a better experience in WvW.
  8. What I am referring to is this: 1) Break a wall to an objective. WXP is gained. 2) Break an additional wall next to it. No WXP is gained. As soon as multiple walls are brought down in SMC there is no additional WXP gain for repeatedly reopening a wall.
  9. I think that the WXP gain only comes from opening fully closed walls. If there are multiple walls down at SMC then there is no WXP gain for breaking a wall again. It seems like a really inefficient way to gain WXP to me.
  10. Wouldn't trebbing be an AFK PIP farm? I do not understand how it is related WXP gain.
  11. You are comparing an "on swap" sigil to an "on interrupt" sigil. If the "on swap" and "on interrupt" were exchanged between the cleansing and absorption sigil I would take the absorption sigil on most of my roaming builds.
  12. If there is a 20-minute fight over an objective, defenders would get 6 defense successes while attackers would only get one attack success if they capped it. Instead of the 3-minute timer should defense events only succeed if the objective has been uncontested for 30 seconds? This would put it more in line with the attack event and make it not necessary to nerf defense participation.
  13. I average 3.3 hours/day and reached 10k rank in December of 2020. While playing I also saw enemy players level up their rank to 10k around me in WvW. I think the vast majority of 10k rank players have gained their rank by playing WvW. The game has been out for 10 years. I did not play EotM much. I think that comparing Supply Generator captures to Supply Camp captures is the best way to compare WvW vs EotM time. My Supply Generator captures is 360 and Supply Camp captures is 22,144. So I have spent the vast majority of my time in WvW. Are players that are having trouble gaining rank not using Birthday Boosters on their WvW characters? I have 13 characters and that is enough to give me an endless supply of Birthday Boosters that I can never work through.
  14. This seems odd to me since range is very important to WvW. Isn't it PvE that stacks in melee for most of their content?
  15. Flame Burst is one of the few condition skills on the staff so I do not think it should be changed into a power skill. The burning is also is useful to gain 10% damage from Pyromancer's Training for power builds. I like the long range knockback for pushing enemies off cliffs when defending keeps in WvW. Would it be better to make the projectile wider or speed it up?
