Some dementia inducin self-contradicting talk Go get some kills on a d/p thief that's not a braindead, they'd either interrupt you for days or reset every time to avoid these "glaring weaknesses". Thief simply has less of these openings comparing to rev and that's what makes them so annoying to face and popular for wannabe ninjas, especially after general power damage nerfs. Rev is a +1 class that doesn't have any means to escape as easily. Last time I played a thief I won fights vs revs by simply P4ing poor mfkers. Imagine having interruptable shadowstep alright. Killing a good thief takes x3 times more effort and more often than not it's not even worth it. If only 90% of roamers weren't thieves (I wonder why.) these days. UPD Nvm just realized what this is. One could think handing one's kitten over 4 times to them would be enough but nah they go searching for your posts instead.

To be honest it's fine as long as you don't play power renegade/herald exclussively. Or fight thieves which seems to be 90% of roaming population these days. Running into sword+dagger weakness tanking thief that has nothing else to do but kitten around with people for zero risk is annoying enough to leave WvW and go play SPvP or other games for that matter.

Without stealth, mobility spam and invisibility while simply standing and tanking kitten? Probably support guardian. If you are asking for a class that can be both tanky and kill people at the same time then probably boon beast.

Well Vindicator is actually pretty good at running away as well as chasing people down. But I am not sure exactly what it's role is going to be yet

I am not content with revenant being +1 class that can't really escape for kitten

Second attack animation for GS 4 was a major turn off for me. Particles is the only thing that looks unique in Vindicator aside from Elite abilities for new legend R E C Y C L E D

Is it known bug that you can still get hit while in Vindicator's leap (dodge)? GS2 seems to have very inconsistent AoE too.

Just watched one of the best revs I know fight soul beast and core necromancer after 5 hours of both pve and wvw testing. That was the saddest kitten I've seen in a while lmao They need to remove an option that allows necro boys to spam kitten without facing people.

I'll wait for beta first, didn't even get to see the traits it has yet. Hopefully there is something that covers it's vulnerable points 2k range on 20 energy spear is hilarious though. It seems like it is "cast and forget" kind of ability too.

From the one hand, I am glad we are finally getting a GS. From the other hand, it's kit makes me worried. There is only soft CC so far and 1 dodge just doesn't work unless you are Anet's favourite aka Mesmers. Even Berserker looks more viable for roaming and spvp than this new spec. But yeah, maybe it's hooray for WvW zerging with party support and pve to some extent.

Yeah same here, not buying anything until I learn what spec that is. Honestly there is nothing drammatic either, I am sick of running pretty much the same spec since HoT as revenant main. Somehow it's so boring and inflexible

I love how some revenant section residents went from constructive posts to "kitten you anet" over couple of years. This place is an echo chamber. UPD: here is slightly too optmistic assumption. Tyvm for a report tho, truly generous being caring about the game and censorship. To be fair,the thread title is off. This has nothing to do with thieves nor mesmers. Everyone used to be able to do it with mounts,warris can do it with a leap,engis can also do it. They just need to block those edge wall points off from being able to jump on as it is the case on certain other places.You don't see other classes porting people inside structers and fucking around with you for hours. I have yet to see any other class do this but thief or a mesmer.
