So i used to play this game a lot(think i have around 5k+ hours.) I'm a thief main so the majority of the playtime is for thief (around 3.5-4k) So since HoT where everything started to go downhill (balance wise), i used to play less and less. Then i uninstalled Gw2 and usually installed it for a month then deleted it again. This repeated for the past 2 years. Then today i listened to some wonderful Jeremy Soul music and had the idea that "damn i should install Gw2". So i started to download it and while downloading i checked the forums where i met with the following sentence. "Infiltrator's Arrow: Increased initiative cost from 6 to 8 in PvP and WvW." Like literally, how incompetent the balance team is. I instantly stopped downloading and rather downloaded another MMO. There is literally no value in this post just wanted to say that i'm extremely disappointed out of pure anger. It feels like to Anet is purposefully killing this game. I know this post chnages nothing and prolly there are hundreds of angry thief players but imagine that u are loosing veteran players before even downloading the game.

I have a problem with backstab, it was weak with marauder amulet in pre balance patch, but since the new balance patch its even weak with berserker amulet/power signet.I do like 8k on light armoured classes below 50% hp while with hs i do like 8 or 10k if under 25%hp. And for bs i need stealth, i have to use bp/hs which is 9 ini, or use a stealth utility which is like 30-50 secs cd. So i basically go into stealth to reposition and rather than doing a backstab i do a hs because its a leap finisher, it does not go on cd if i miss, and does more damage and closes gap

I Had a match where we downed a necro 4 times and the fb 2 times.So when the last time the necro got downed ofc the fb immediately started to revive him, but we finally managed to down the fb too the necro had like 98% hp when the gua got downed, me and my team8 had 5-10%hp, and the necro with his downed aa skill revived himself, i instantly jump on him with heartseeker bamm 7.8k necro activates shroud presses skill 1 me and my team8 insta die, then he presses shroud4 and basically kills us he aint bother reviving the fb. SO yeah necro needs a lich form nerf, a downed 1 skill nerf(since like Hot tho), and dunno what changed but last time i was playing this game necro could not heal his hp pool while in shrouds however now, he heals back like 10-15k hp if he starts from full shroud.Needlesly to say i immeditately raqe quitted after the loss(was the last match not mid game) and uninstalled the game. However i do have to say the balance is nice now, maybe too many condi builds its like 30%-70% towards condi, i loved the 2vs2 maps i just dont enjoy this game anymore thats why the uninstall

New duel maps are full of no valid path, please review them, grab a thief in a test environment with an sb with infinity ini and you can see yourself

when i used to play this game i was always mad when somone started to stomp a glass cannon, or start stomping on 25% health, so please only stomp when necessary for the sake of your team8s mental health

today did some pvp, and actually the avg mirage count was 3 there was no Match without it, but out of my 10 matches in 2 there were 4, just a funny sidenote to the topic

Could we get some buffs to these skills? Its so bad that when you get downed you literally do zero damage, especially if somone puts weakness on you, you are absically doing 200 damagish with 2.2k pwoer+,Also double strike if you dont crit you do 2 300-400 damage to light golems, with crit 2 780-840 this is quite pathetic

This tho should ahve been implemented long ago, i hate it when i loose a game to 100-500 i loose -11 then i loose a game to 495-500 and -15

You hardly get top stats on thief except offense, if the Match going that way

Sad part is, if you have such a system and use ultra low settings it's not really worth it I only do pvp and wvw, where bigger fps is quite an advantage....

Hi! Are you running, your ryzen processor in Ryzen High perfromance mode? if not please try it. Windows button -> select energy scheme(mirror translation from hungarian) -> then change it from balanced to high perfromance, if you are not seeing ryzen high perfromance or ryzen balanced only just the 3 basic energy modes then google the problem Hi yes ofc i do that,, temps are also completely fine, it’s properly the gw2 engine which is the bottleneck. Overall my low 1% gone up in gw2 but it’s still really sad that sometimes Iam only getting 40 FPS when the cpu sits at 20% and the gpu at 45%.
