The intelligent thing to do if you actually wanted ele to be in a good spot is to convince everyone to not play ele at all... Across the entire game absolutely no elementalists. At that point anet might pull their head out of their southern hemisphere

In short, it works. But with the explosion of heal mechs there's no reason to limit your build by trying to compress everything into a single build. I personally focus on quickness and dps.

They are situational utilities like most ever other ability. This is no different for any other profession. Every profession has utilities that seem flavorless until you find a use for them.

It's not a few seconds, it's 15. I timed it. Players die to it because they ignore it not because they don't have time.

Still loving it. Thanks to Catalyst I can actually join strikes on my ele again now that I have quickness. Pve is still a steamroll as it is for probably everyone. The 10 man nerf hurt my tempest a lot but eh, it's still not bad.

Celestial is ok as a "training wheels" set. It has some niche uses for condi support builds but otherwise it's probably best used by Elementalist. Just my opinion on it.

I'm currently testing a diviners spectre heal build with revive traits and heal on shadow step. See if it can be a potential alternative to heal scourge

I have this problem all the time, mostly with meta builds/elite specs. Especially spectre, no idea why anyone enjoys it

It works, and despite what people say it's dps is still better than many other supports. But because it's harder to pull of than other supports people don't typically run it or run it correctly. The truth of the matter is there's not much point to it due to how many alacrity providers there are right now. In my squads I usually end up with more Alac than I know what to do with.

For shatter builds scepter is great, even in my power Chrono build it's good for the block, and the 3 skill does about 11k. But it's useful for clone generation. I typically use sword to do my dps rotation and swap to scepter to regenerate clones and swap back. Scepter to me has always been more of a utility weapon than a dps
