Hi all
I've enjoyed playing Engineer since launch as cdps primarily but now since mech come out I've been thinking about playing a support build (I've enjoyed playing as a healer in other mmos). I've got my gear setup how I like it with Harriers and have been enjoying 5-man content without issue. I tried strikes today and I'm finding it difficult to heal and / or keep alac up. I wanted to share that build and ask a few questions:
(Link to build: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PeyAk6RlZwWYvsWWMeqTnRVA-zRJYqRX/ZUtEIdFgdHA-e)
1. in 10-man content, is a mech meant to be the sole healer? I have little experience but I feel like I wasn't able to keep people at high hp like I experience when going in as cdps
2. I feel like I was able to keep alac up at least 95% of the time (if not 100%), but felt like I was always close to the boon wearing off. Should I be in a position where I have like 10+ seconds in reserve or is it meant to be that way?
I'm not looking to raid or push for CMs with this, more so interested in a different playstyle after many years primarily dps. Thoughts and advice appreciated 🙂👍
Edit1 - was just doing my EoD daily in New Kaineng and had 100% alac with like 25 seconds in reserve so dunno what was happening with me in strike missions 😐
