    Memory of Lion's Arch Pass:
Takes you back to Lion's Arch before Scarlet destroyed it. Since it has the Forge, all crafting stations, etc. it would be a perfect pass.

Came here to suggest this exact idea! Love the amount of thumbs up!I - for one - would LOVE to visit Lion's Arch as it was before Scarlet's war. It would be nice to have it as one of the Pass Hubs, with all the old NPC's and dialogue, residing within the Mists. Bonus points, if we could use mounts and gliders in the instance.

Another thing I personally would love, would be a
    Weaver themed
    (BLC?)
    weapon set
. Ice & Fire Staff (If this ever happens, please design it as a scythe! <3), Fire & Air Dagger, Air & Ice Warhorn, Earth & Ice Shield etc.. The point would be having
    multiple elements per weapon
as the core design. Though Fire & ice theme would probably fit the theme best, as it would show the idea in the most obvious way possible.

    Also the good old
Elementalist Eyes and Auras from Guild Wars 1
    (
    )!

We already have the four starter headpieces, but I'd love to wear the Canthan auras or Vabbian Eyes on my mage characters! This time it would be nice though, if
    . :'( <3

    Oh-oh! And
    from GW1! <3

Ha ha! Thanks. Considering it was the first suggestion, it's the first one most people will see, hence all the thumbs ups. XD

And I love your ideas. Weaver themed weapon sets, nice. I'd so go for a fire/lightning combo since that's my most used combo on my Weaver. And dat Ancient armor. GIMME! :D

Despite the fact that many game sites, WP, dulfy (who is usually neutral about these things) condemn the practice, and there is a heavy community backlash? Anet cannot afford to take all this heat.

Would expect after all that and then today the Gemstore was getting an update that this would've been looked into.It wasn't.I think it's safe to say it's staying whether we like it or not.

We don't even have patch notes. How do we know the gemstore was updated?

Um because of that little tiny topic right there?

Anytime a sale is ending, an item is disappearing, something new is coming up, the Gem Store changes. The other items yesterday was "disappearing in 24 hours" meaning new items will take it's place and those old items are going away.

Also, the game client also updated (assuming for the Gem store update). Was a small update obviously but it's an update. While I don't like this mount situation, I kind of made my duty to keep looking into the Gem store for a while now because I want my bloody Jungle Explorer Outfit.Once again, not liking the mount situation, but I'm not going to 100% stop getting certain things that I want in the gem store. I rather Arenanet know "I like how this is done so I will buy it if I like it" while "I think this set up is stupid, ridiculous, expensive, unfair, evil, makes baby Yahshua cry, etc so I will not give you any service on this."

Not saying those that decide to flat out not give them a penny no more until this is changed of course is wrong.

Those were up earlier before the patch that came up about 20 minutes ago, dude. I saw them this morning. Where I am now, it's afternoon.

I just said I wasn't around when they updated in that same post just on the last page. There was no patch 20 minutes ago.Or if there was, I didn't know.

Yes, there was a new build just an hour ago.

Right now, it's 1:50 pm my time. The post you linked was posted at 10:22 am my time.

The patch that was just released has nothing to do with the gemstore.

    You're not listening.

    I. Said. That. I. Was. Not. On. Earlier. At in I was not near the computer 3 hours ago. So. I. Went. And. Check. Less. Than. An. Hour. Ago. Because NOW I am at the computer. So I went and check and went "Oh, so the update this morning on the Gem Store didn't do a kitten thing about the stupid Mount problem."

I don't know what part of that you're having troubles understanding.

I guess the trouble I'm misunderstanding is now: which patch are you referring to? Because I loaded up GW2 this morning, there was no patch, but the items in the post you linked were all there in the gemstore.

And then there was a patch just an hour or so ago. Nothing changed. So, which one are you referring to?

  7. @"Gaile Gray.6029" I'm becoming concerned. I know this is something you guys need to consider closely, but there is massive backlash from multiple sites, Jim Sterling, and the community about the Mount Licenses.

Here, someone showed what a perfect mount license would be like.

I don't condone the current practice. And it seems like there's more to the outrage than just the Mount RNG. I know you guys recently upped the rewards for PoF events in the last patch, but people still feel like they are unrewarding. It seems all these things adding up (apparently also some things with HoT, which were addressed, but some players feel Anet is making the same mistakes with PoF), the current RNG Mount License is the straw that broke the camel's back.

Again, I don't condone this practice, but I don't want to see my favorite MMO lost due to this choice (I am exaggerating here, but the backlash is painful). I beg that some action be taken very soon; before the end of this week. :(

  8. @"Pretty Pixie.8603" said:Is predatory gem store behaviour really a good idea in an MMO that needs a stable player base to remain profitable? I do not think so. People that don't like gambling will feel resentful. People that bought a few contracts and didn't get anything they liked will be resentful. They will share their resentment with their friends, on the forums, on reddit, potentially scaring off future customers.

Youtube has several GW2 personalities already responding to this, generally not in a positive way. Even Jim Sterling, a noted anti-micro transactions crusader jumped on board and covered the issue. This can have a negative effect on future player growth, because people remember the negative way longer than the positive. GW2 is not a multiplayer shooter with a new iteration every year, allowing your marketing department to rehype their public for their new 'game'. These practices will stick to the GW2 name like tar.

In the past many people have posted how they buy gems to support Anet and the game, give positive word of mouth, and are generally willing to overlook minor issues like the loot boxes, since a lot of the negatives from those loot boxes were mitigated due to being able to buy the skins through the TP, etc. You are now undermining that good will with this predatory behaviour. Will you make an initial killing? No doubt.

But I predict you're also damaging the goodwill that's out there, and the positive word of mouth both from players, and from positive Youtube vids. I'm personally stopping with buying gems. That will prevent any urge to gamble (which makes me feel dirty, really) until these adoption contracts are changed to an outright buy per skin.

Heya. One thing you could do is to edit your original desire post (gear icon in top right of your post) and add an "Edit: Self-fulfilled" at the start. :) You could also highlight all of the original text and then hit the "Strikethrough" button to also show it as not being a desire post any longer.

That's the thing. I can change the text but it won't let me save the changes. That's why I said "remove
    or edit
    ...unable to do so"

    Exactly.

Ohhhh ok. I see. :) I agree; what's not to love about Canach and his awesome sass?

Exactly! I also love the part in LS2 where he's still under Anise's leash and Canach realizes how good she is at a Memser and says something like: "I wonder if you really are as old as you loo--"

Anise shuts him down before finishing. XD
