  1. My body surrenders, but my spirit... will not!
  2. Ranked is 50/50 most of the time, Rush does not really have anything to do with it. Depends on your rank as well. Higher you go, higher chance that you will run into same folks. Although not sure how much the playerbase shrinked past few months, perhaps it's noticable in lower elo as well.
  3. Hardly unpopular. PvP is, and was for some time now, garbage experience, and eventually you will get tired of it unless you are addicted to that specific moment when you actually get good quality match up and situation where combat in GW2 actually shines. Problem is that moments like that are very scarce and you get far more often thrown into situations that are hardly fun for neither side. Fact that it took them that long to fix the signet cata for so long, only to nuke it in worst possible way (as is custom), speaks volumes on how much they care, and it often reeks of unprofessionalism which is not something I am willing to tolerate when it comes to someone like ArenaNet. To be fair, I had my own share of fun in this game, including PvP, but it feels kind of sad when the mode you enjoy most turns into something that feels more like a chore and leaves you with bitter taste in your mouth after each match. I don't necessarily blame them though, since they never really promised to revitalize PvP, so it's partially me being foolish for thinking that they would surpass my already low expectations. In the end you have to ask yourself, what's the point of playing if you are not having fun? For me, if it's not fun, it's time to quit the game. Which is what I did. Good luck gamers, was fun playing with you. 🤗
  4. Why are people still arguing about it? Is it toxic? Kind of. Just like one trick pony mesmers with moa signet and stealth, bursting you with very little counterplay. Or scrapper stacking every possible damage modifier and again, abusing stealth to get unfair advantage and burst you down within few seconds. Out of all these borderline degen builds, I find gunflame zerker the least annoying to fight and easiest to make sure that he does not leave the spawn area. edit: btw I don't particularly want any of these builds to disappear from the game. It's annoying but that's about it, and most of the time it's fairly easy to kill them if they fail their burst. If people are having fun while playing these builds, good for you. But let's not pretend that builds like that does not crumble the moment someone jumps on them. It's all about element of surprise. Once it's gone and your opponent is alive, you are in deep trouble.
  5. Spellbreaker and Bladesworn. Bunker condi zerker build is not exactly fun to play even if it's kind of effective. Power zerker is useless. Core does not bring anything extra. Hard to play something else when you don't have that many viable options tbh (and they all play more or less same).
  6. In plat and above most likely yes. It might be still played in lower ranks simply because people refuse to move out of Ghastly Breach and then wonder what is killing them (hmmmm). Obviously it gets shut down easily by ranged.
  7. It's interesting how they introduce new problem that can be solved just by reverting the change, but instead they proceed to do some mental gymnastics and nuke everything around it. 😀 I guess it's too hard for them to swallow their pride and admit that WiS change was dumb in first place. edit: Labelling it as bug fix is a bit questionable as well. Feels more like rushed decision or plan B in case that the previous nerf would not be enough.
  8. Thanks for the build btw., very fun indeed.
  9. was fun while it lasted (good that they quickly fixed it)
  10. PvE mechanics take care of that. While GW is slowly getting there in terms of interesting mechanics that players need to do, FFXIV is miles ahead when it comes to raids/trials etc. It's also way more flashy when it comes to skills and their animations, so designing combat around stacking like in GW makes very little sense. It's far from being perfect but it's also very different type of approach.
  11. shh, let me enjoy my degen scourge gameplay edit: combined with specter it's very tedious to take them down in teamfight
  12. GS could use rework in general so it's actually fun to use. Buffs are nice but I would still prefer to reverse the animation change instead of cosplaying as Ryland with his orange slice.
  13. still busted (cata) edit: won a game against team with 2x cata and duoQ on top of that, homie still complained about unfair matchmaking lmao 🥰
  14. Your teammates need to peel for you, which happens very rarely, otherwise if the enemy team is at least slightly capable they can quickly burst you down. Complaining about sniping people from stealth is same as the scrapper cheese or mesmer mass stealth. Both are annoying but predictable. Go play it against semi competent people and see for yourself how "good" that build is. Thief/Willbender will probably erase you before you even get the chance to do anything. edit: Seeing all these likes makes me wonder how many people actually tried to play it, or pzerker in general in current meta.
  15. If you refuse to see the problem with condi cata then there is not much to discuss. If I can pick it up, stomp people with it without much of an issue while I have basically never played that build before, that might be a bit of problem. It's not because I am good (I am not), but because that build is extremely forgiving if you make mistake while being able to dish out unhealthy amount of damage. You are not entirely wrong, but I could hardly pull the same bs with Spellbreaker when compared to condi Catalyst.
