  1. I had no idea you could do that with the bouncy chests lol thank you for the tip!! This will save a lot of time ping-ponging back and forth between clicking on the chest and accepting that good good loot 100% agree on having the Hero Panel being reworked / reviewed a bit. I think it's incredibly commendable that the team was able put everything in the game under one panel, but at the same time it makes for a pretty cluttered experience especially after being an active game for the past 10 years. The search function has been my saving grace when navigating the achievements panel, although I don't understand the filters that go along side of it. Personally, the players Story and Achievements go well together and share a lot of overlap, would be interesting to see how those could be reworked into each other. I can agree here as well. Love having a "Summary" of accomplishments, but it doesn't feel extremely relevant to what I'm actually working on or towards in the game. The log-in rewards does push a lot of the other content down quite a bit too. Ngl, but I often forget where to find my Account Bonuses! For some reason, I tend to look either in the equipment section or somewhere branching off from my inventory lol
  2. Thanks for taking the time reading through and checking out the lil mock up I put together! Unfortunately, I don't understand how this would create an extra click for any one - do you mind elaborating on the user flow that would happen in order for this to occur? This proposed single splash screen would completely remove an entire step all together (ie. the "continue" after opening the reset chest.) The Daily Quests screen only appears after the Log-In rewards screen, and in order to successfully claim your log-in reward you need to navigate all the way through the Dailies screen by clicking the "Okay" button.
  3. A minor suggestion saving players an extra click getting into the game after logging in is having a single splash screen displaying both the log-in reward and daily activities together. Once a player logs in, they are prompted to click on the bouncing chest opening up their log-in rewards and then continue on to view the updated dailies activities for the day. These screens are always seen together and updated when the game clock resets which would make sense for them to be combined on the same pop-up saving players one extra step to click through, ultimately getting them into their gameplay quicker. Keeping in mind the current layout of the log-in rewards displaying 30 days of opportunity, using a more modern horizontal scrolling section would allow players to see their upcoming rewards, as well as seeing their past log-in accomplishments. Noting that log-in rewards follow the same 30 day pattern, seeing them over and over again start to feel a little redundant day after day. Creating a single line of rewards makes this track more visually digestible while allowing the players to interact with the timeline to view more if they choose. Keeping the current design techniques to mark important milestones along the timeline also gives great visual feedback for players to continue logging in. As for the daily activities / quests, the base UI of the achievements panel uses a two column template which could be leveraged here to save on vertical space and reinforce what the players will see when are looking at their achievements screen. Keeping all of the same functionality is ideal as this is the "meat & potatoes" of the content. Screenshot for reference / mockup (imgur)
  4. Create a clearer visual indication / highlight inside the equipment panel of which pieces are able to have stats selected. When equipping new gear that has stats you're able to select you get a pop-up notification informing you that you can do so appearing in the top left corner, but when you land on the equipment screen there's no visual queue of which equipment piece has that option available. I see there's small text buried in a list of other information about the equipment piece which get's lost especially if you don't know what you're looking for. Some suggestions on improvement: Outline / glow of equipment pieces Arrow notification pointing the equipment similar to the initial notification you receive in the top left when equipping the piece Move the "Double-click to select stats." text below the given stats giving it greater hierarchy Image for context: https://imgur.com/XLwohfW
  5. What about adding in more mount rental areas / improving on the current mount rentals by adding a timed skill available for however long the rental period lasts for that can fill the mount skill slot (X), allowing them to reuse their rented mount again without having to return to the NPC they originally rented from. Could also add variety of different rentable mount options (I think right now you can only rent a roller beetle?) at variable different price ranges.
  6. Perhaps another solution would be to include “mount experts” in each starter area explaining the process of how masteries are needed in order to obtain a mount with some sort of CTA to purchase the expansions. OR maybe once your account has the needed expansions, there could be an early mount obtained, this way folks are still encouraged to purchase the expansions but not necessarily play through the story to experience the full benefits of the mounts. That being said; I think it’s great that the original / free game is experienced on foot as it gives an entirely different feel for how the game is played, especially as you progress through the game and learn to get accustomed to different play types. This also gives leaves the sort of “prestige” feeling you get when you do obtain the mounts you have earned as you complete the different stories. Although, I will agree that getting around on foot does get a little tedious and doing events with folks that have the speed / height bonuses of their mounts can leave you a little behind, having some sort of speed boost boon or perk prove to be beneficial in the long run especially when you are in a party or squad that utilizes their mounts that you don’t have access to, creating a more balanced paced experience for newer players. Similar to the city speed boosts you can use - maybe a specific squad or party bonus?
  7. Something that caught my attention with the cooking trade is that there are some ingredients that have storage space available in the bank materials space whereas some do not. For example, “Piles of Stirfry Spice Mix” and “Piles of Simple Stew Herbs” have a slot under the "Cooking Ingredients" tab, but Piles of Paprika, Piles of Tangy Seasoning, and Bowls of Dilled Cream Sauce cooking ingredients do not. Would make most sense to have consistency across all “Cooking Ingredient” types to have a dedicated slot under the "Cooking Ingredients" tab in the material storage. I haven’t explored other trades to notice if any other “ingredient” type materials have select bank storage or not. And lastly, when it comes to the equipable gathering tools - would be great to add the number of available uses left on hover next to the name / label of the tool, making it easier to see how many times you are able to use it / know when you should get a backup. (Similar to how when you hover over the piles of ingredients it tells you how many you have). I see the number is visible directly on the tools themself, but would be great to have a visual queue on hover. For example, when you have gathering tools in your inventory and go to hover over them, it shows you the current tool hovered over and the tool you have equipped but no indication as to how many used your equipped tool has left. Thank you!
