  6. While we're killing time, why does the launcher clear your saved password after a failed attempt to log in and you have to close and reopen the launcher to get it back??? Been the same like forever!

As well as what LSD has said, especially that killing/disabling the siege does not count towards event participation or the weekly, I totally disagree with your "95%" statistic!!.For a small number of towers that may be true but, for the majority, catas are typically placed well outside the borders of the defence event, often to avoid watchtowers but also to avoid acs and "mobile acs" pewpew-ing from the walls
  9. It's simple really. This achievement was added later in response to many asking for achievements that rewarded people who liked to spend their time guarding and defending, rather than running with the herd. But it doesn't work. The best way of earning it is still to be part of an attacking squad and kill a few stragglers after the capture. If they want to reward defenders of towers I think the most powerful way would be to spawn an event around siege that attacks a tower and credit people who destroy that siege or kill people in a zone around it, but I guess that might be technically less than trivial! Alternatively I'd probably reinstate credit for repairing walls of towers only. The real abuse of the repair mechanic was SM and, to a lesser extent, keeps. IMO, of course! They could also have an achievement for defending camps, which could lead to some fun more open fights. Not 15 per week though!! Maybe 3 or 5.
  10. If this achievement was intended to be a reward for defenders it really does not work, now wall repair does not count. A lot of tower defence involves either using siege to take down catas or going out to meet catas and killing them and their forces out of range of the defence event. By far the easiest way to get this achievement is mopping of the last enemy defenders after a tower capture, so really this is a bonus attacking achievement. I'm not saying this bothers me personally πŸ™‚ . Just saying ain't working as intendedπŸ™‚
  11. You don't need this for the Jade Crisis achievement, of course. I too want for completionism! I'm amazed this isn't fixed already, but isn't there another achievement you could do?

  14. Yup, over 2 stacks here but just can't bring myself to delete them. Maybe they could transfer them to the wallet at least 🀣, then they can quietly grow there along with my useless 47K skirmish tickets!

  16. So, in the bug post about these changes someone highlighted a line in the patch notes that I had missed: (Italics are mine.) This gives me some confidence this is a bug/oversight and will get fixed (soonish? πŸ˜‰)
  17. You only have to do story mode to unlock the reward track permanently; To get all the merchant options you need to do the story AND five explorable runs (or paths, not sure) per dungeon!!. And Anet even deliberately gave you a way around that by using the tracks on rotation. This looks like it was overlooked to me. Would not surprise me if the team working on the revamp didn't think to talk to anyone that knew about WvW!! Hopefully it will get fixed sharpish in a patch 🀞.
  18. Is this really intended? The dungeon reward tracks were introduced to allow WvW players to buy dungeon items, including gifts needed for Gen 1 legendaries. Now the currency you get from those tracks is practically useless unless you have also done a shed load of PvE dungeoneering. After years of acquiring gifts this way I really don't need to be revisiting ad-nauseam day 1 content!! Yes, I know this debate about whether we should need to play each others game modes is pretty old, but this particular issue was sorted by Anet years ago with the reward tracks. It's pretty kitten to remove the ability now. IMO, at the very least, each run of the reward track should unlock story mode items and count as one run of the explorable mode. Really I think this extra requirement on top of earning the currency should just be dropped!!

  20. Certainly the amulet MUST still be available. Personally I wouldn't have a problem if a legendary chest was rewarded, which allowed people to choose any legendary trinket. Kinda why not. But, as I'm doing the achievement for the amulet anyway it does not affect me.
  21. Not sure where you want feedback on your update, so I'll put it here! Thanks for the detailed story of the 2 hours of the 1st beta πŸ™‚. An entertaining read! Good to hear things are progressing and a new beta is not that far away. One negative comment though. As a sometimes defender/scout, I'm not happy with the plan to remove participation from repairing gates and walls. Off-peak there are rarely commanders to share participation. Repairing is already a thankless task that tends to get done by only a few dedicated souls. Removing participation will make it just about impossible for 1 or 2 people to repair a T2 or T3 structure without losing participation. People will feel the need to run around flipping sentries instead. This was already a bit of a problem when building fixed siege, which already does not reward participation. It can take quite some time when a T2/3 keep has had all its canons and mortars removed in a fight! But, I understood that repairing those was not always a good way to use supplies, especially by pip farmers! Although there is a danger of valuable supplies being used on wall/gate repairs I personally think that is well outweighed by the danger of them never getting repaired, even when supplies are abundant, if you are expecting someone to lose all their participation in the process!! I fully expect this to spark some debate and I'm sure some will disagree but I, for one, very much want wall/gate repairs to keep participation!!
  22. @Embered.5089 I don't think you need to be too worried about this: a) I'm pretty sure they will fix it, if only to allow all trinket effects to be turned off, probably before you collect too many of them as they are all fair sized projects b) if you are really worried start with Conflux - the WvW ring. You can equip 2 of those and the effect for that can be turned off. To have 2 legendary rings you need one Conflux anyway as you can only get one Coalescence. c) the PvP amulet may be another option as you can turn off the effect for that too, but you may already be doing the Return to Living Story events for that trinket. d) if you then get the two accessories you are left with the purple bubble effect (in combat only), until Anet fix things and that's probably the least offensive of the bunch. I've learnt to accept it for now! (Backpacks are also hide-able or transmutable of course)
  23. Bluejin didn't mention the ring and only suggested giving the slumbering versions once people had both accessories. So, those with just the ring or just one accessory or the ring plus one accessory would still see the effect. At least, that's how I read it. Assuming he meant to include Coalescence and just forgot, do people get both versions of the ring regardless of how many accessories they have and how (easily) do they stop people equipping both??
