  1. I am not a fan of skill 1 being almost melee and looking like a sword... We have swords for rev and greatsword, why another "sword"? Also, I have some nice scepter skins I want to use, but they almost invisible with this laser-sword effect. Another thing is, I love idea of being dark mist-mage and casting spells with scepters, especially rev has only two ranged weapons... but that's not a case becouse scepter was made as a laser sword ;/

  3. I don't think it's need overhaul. I just wish Anet will improve visuals of the skills some day. Less 2D sprites (like these arts above head when we switch Legendaries), more modern and cool effects. I noticed that last patch we get new sounds for some skills (like swords autoattacks). It's nice change, sounds are more pleasing, less irritating, I appreciate it.
  4. Ranger, sword skill 2 (pounce) animation is still bugged. It's bugged from the day the skill was added (june 2023 I guess). The animation stops suddenly when the sword touches the enemy.
  5. I saw this the day they added the skill to the ranger one-handed sword, but I thought it would be fixed in the next updates. Unfortunately, this didn't happen and Pounce is still buggy. The animation stops suddenly at the end when the character lands on the enemy (this applies to human, I haven't checked it on char, sylvari, norn or asura). Please Arena, fix it. 🙏

  7. I hope main hand mace will be nature magic range weapon, not melee. Anet, lets suprise us! You dont want to give us rifle, give us something uniqe with this maces.
  8. Sadly, we don't get rifle/pistol now for sure... but I hope Anet will add every weapon choice for every profession in the future. Mace+mace in nearest future is strange choice. I have feeling that everything else would fit more for ranger. Rifle, pistols. scepter, shield... Maces are not the most exciting weapons. The "ranger is too close to nature to get the rifle" argument don't make sense to me. We literally killing tousands of creatures through whole game, animals included 😛 They made bow paladin, they made hammer elementalist, they even made hammer ranger but rifle is not fit for theme? I dont understand 😄
  9. Ele and ranger will get the worst new weapon choices in SotO. Really, people for years asked here for bows or GS for ele and we get pistols. And ranger players asked for rifle or scepter and they get two maces... 😵‍💫 I don't what is the logic behind this... I know, maybe it will be fun to play (I was skeptical about hammer for ele and know I think it's the most fun hammer in game) but goooosh... I really dreamed about GS. And in general ele has a very small selection of weapons, so if they decided it would be a pistol, they could give us two pistols, main and off-hand 😕
  10. These changes seem nice but we'll see when they come to live servers. I am very ecited about sword revamp. Ranger 1H sword was most unfun for me.
  11. I really hope they unlock elite spec weapons for core or even other elites. And maybe mastery which allow us to unlock aditional slot for utility skill? Just two examples, but I hope they do something cool with professions if they don't want add more elites.

This game is master of odd skill sounds 😛 Guardian scepter autoattack, dragonhunter longbow almost every attack, elementalist fire sounds (especcialy on staff and scepter), revenant autoattack skills on almost every weapon... Druid staff sounds is just the tip of the iceberg ;D PS: I forgot about deadeye riffle, sounds like toy 😐

  15. Sorry for refresh... but, after last balance patches, rev is still better choice than warrior? Both seems fun to me, struggle to choose what to level, gear up and main first in the nearest future 😉
  16. Yeah, but also everybody repeat to me "ele dies constantly", "playing ele in open world is horrible", "ele brings nothing to the groups" ;/ So... i don't know :<
  17. I am new player in GW2. Ele was my first choice when I started leveling. It's fun but when I start reading forums and reddit I have doubts if I should go with this ele... Everybody says it's not worth time. I'm afraid that despite the fun it gives me to play it, I will only get frustrated with elementalist. Now I am thinking to reroll mesmer or ranger 😕

  20. I dont't like idea of ele with longbow/shortbow. It's just doesn't fit class fantasy. Ele is master of elements, some kind of mage and shaman mix. Bows better fits for mesmers, they are master of ilisions and weapons. Personally I would like to see ele with mace as range weapon. Fits better and everyone would be happy to see at least new range ele spec 😛
