On Mechanic Genius change, it is bad cause have became an istant ON/OFF, even if you move 1mm out of the border, you get it off, and that can happen a lot when the robot go random at enemy or the boss move/teleport fast around........ really, if you cannot eliminate it, AT LEAST, add the extra seconds timer before going OFF like it was before (8-10 seconds and all be ok i think), can help a lot mitigate all the problem the actual skill create. Expecially considering we lost barrier from mace 1 (with alac boon cast from it) monobuilding alac mecha as result instead of having some extra build options playing it..........

Really curious to know the build of this wvw condi full time alac, i mean, i did some test months ago about it, when mecha wasn't "nerfed underground", and could get personal alac up against the "TEST Golem" thx to mace barrier 1 + all the others alac skill provider, but now? Now is hard to get near 100% alac with full concentration gear with barrier provider skill............. not to mention, you loose the self quickness if you want to provide alac now cause you need mandatory the 3 secs barrier robot aoe for help. And mechanical Genius is istant on/off now, and your robot go around random out of the range of it leaving you powerless to control it (ex. target an enemy in front of me, set the robot to attack it with me running at it, robot randomly go right or left leaving the range of Genius and istant loose it before attacking the enemy getting the skill malus........... and i clicked the enemy IN FRONT with the mecha meele skill..............)

This change is the biggest problem Alac dps mecha could get against boss fight, considering that became near impossible to have 100% alac uptime now on a moving boss fight, and we even get a Mehanical genius istant ON/OFF status too (no more extra time counter for it) that can create some problems on rotation considering the robot sometimes run around randomly exiting the 360 range............... and all this was never mentioned in the preview or the final partch day note list.......... Really bad change at less then 2 months from expansion...............

The change isn't a good one, at least for alac dps mecha, cause now, you cannot get 100% alac on boss fight anymore............. plus nowhere was written about it, because if it was mentioned, we would have toons of posts against it from the start. On the simple "barrier boon" effect, the change can be ok, but on the "trigger alac" boon time, the change is really bad......... need to do more test, BUT i don't see getting 100% alac uptime anymore for the class. Really really bad stealth change Mecha get from this patch.

Ok, i remembered it right the real FB quickness dps damage on the golem......... is 32k-33k, not the 37k that can only be obtained with allies......... that is a big difference..... a completely different kind of play and attention on what you do, reflected in the 5k difference in dps. Is always this way, people don't read the full description and start talking without understanding the mechanics involved for reaching that kind of dps. You have a power dagger deadeye that reach 44k DPS without allies........ that is 10k more dps than FB........ (7k difference if you consider a pure condi FB damage), not problematic at all, right? I see same behaviour as we had with the Mechanics power rifle damage, where people wrote 35k autoattack when the autoattack was around 27k and the 35k was done using skills too, not only autoattack. (good luck explaining that to the 3 people asking for nerf Mecha, that was impossible and the end result was mecha power rifle nerfed underground).

Doesn't get bonus from the runes too (5%, 10% bonus type)...... the only bonus that Robot get is from armor hard stats (and weapons too), and before 14 feb patch, the bonus was simple "directly" received from the Mecha char, not from the Robot (Robot bonuses was bypassed). Don't know if is a bug or not, but i consider it a big nerf to the class.

The problem is...... no runes bonus or other similar bonus "tecnically" get passed to the Robot, so, as condi damage or as condi duration, the condi stats will be always inferior to the Mecha one......... My check was in fractal as a boon alac (using the concentration stat), where boons duration didn't changed at all for the Robot, no matter what i did (changed for the Mecha), unless i change armor equipped, and seriously, if not for the new "150%", the alac build would be near useless......... The class is too heavily nerfed, starting from the AA of Rifle that do less damage then the original pre-revamp AA......... and that is telling all about the class situation.
  8. No, we need to use them even without the cooldown reduction because we lack valid alternative to use as alternate skills for mantain our dps at a decent level...... expecially as Condi build. They aren't strong enough as of now, the fact is more simple, we lack alternative to substitute them so we would continue to choose them.
  9. So they are starting to change the way of monetization more like ESO or similar games instead of giving us a new LWS like before? Don't know............ need to see the price of those "future mini EXP" to judge, and how much "contents" we will get from them......... but not a big fan of the news of the changes in "new contents", i mean, i am here as a player instead to be in other games that have a similar "mini exp monetization system" for a reason...... we will see the evolution of it. (the only difference i see respect old LWS is 2 MAPS instead of 1 and the fact that now we "always" pay for it instead of getting "it" logging in as loyal players at implementation..........)

The change isn't the problem here, the reversing mantra to how they was before is the problem.... because they explained why they changed them before and they reexplained why they changed them now and we returned literally as a circle at the same starting point, losing more then 1 year of possible development here, simple to go in circle, no advance; and the no advance is the real problem here, we simply lost time changing nothing. BUT Like i always say and write, i wait the "in game test" to see how things change, because only with "in game test" you can see what really changed in playing the class. On paper, some change can be nice or even fantastic, but in game, they can be subpar or even worse than what they substitute, and only a game test can give some end result about the change. So for now, we can only wait and hope for the best result we could have with those changes.

No matter if you use it or not......... if you don't get the general reduction cooldown that could be get before the change using the trait as all the other skills get, the final result is a nerf, plain and simple. Peter hit the nail with what he write......... and that is really sad to see happening.........
  12. The point is....... the extra 7% with 90% health is with Aegis up or without it? (so always active if you have 90%+ health?) that is the real point in the effect of the trait. None of you noticed the WB "no cancelling virtue effect" in the note? I think that is a big change for the class, at least on paper, because, obviously, the real test is in the game; i see many times big and incredible good change on paper became little or even bad one respect the old when implemented and tested in the game.

Condi Mecha have the "piano build" as the Ele spec, but do less damage then Ele spec, so, not the best and most usefull thing to play if you want the best dps, that is the problem at the base of the spec. And Holo is a Power dps class that depend heavily on the time in proton forge (the hard part in the rotation is get the heat under control when you fight a boss), don't understand why people set it as condi.......... at least take the hybrid way if you seriously want some condi in, and as power, Holo destroy Mecha, even scrapper destroy Mecha.... so, don't understand all those problem with Mecha, who is literally "nerf destroyed" every patch for literally no reason....... i tested and do more damage with vindicator 1 than with mecha 1 even without using the extra damage from vindi dodge, just to say how bad Mecha is......... (and yeah, you need to factor that a lot of people use Mecha (high % of users you see on the logs) because they like Robot, like myself, not because some random OP idea of the class).

In PVE is literally the same considering many enemy (Expecially normal and Vet one) run and move around a lot, if you aren't meele them (they target you 80% of the time, not the Robot), so will be a lot harder to do damage to them if they move even a bit............. (autoattack have some casttime, aren't istant for the robot)
  15. Game in maintenance mode or not? Hard to say, for a simple fact........ we have opposite info on it. On one hand, the biggest thing that say "no maintenance mode" is the talked future expansion and the fact that LWS1 reimplemented in the game ended at the end of 2022, BUT, at the same time, this same thing point to the "yes maintenance mode" because after the last chapter of LWS1 at the end of 2022, we literally know nothing of the future LWS6 about the future adventure after the event of END of Dragon, and considering we are 2023, that is a bit of a concern. I was considering the new LWS6 to be ready after april (just like the complete passage to DX11 ended), but heard nothing about it until now except the old news from last summer is a mildly concern for my point of view. But after all that sayd, to me, the result can be like 20% in maintenance mode and 80% NOT, at least for now, so for "at least 1 extra year", i don't see a problem about it; after that, we will see what have happened or not happened.

So, even after mecha was "deleted" from the dps meter (i don't consider the "piano CONDI build as weaver" a viable build seeing Holo and even Scrapper at the same level as power build), they literally nerfed mecha class even more? So, now, as a NO HAM build alac mecha power i am literally useless? (i normally use Rifle, so aren't in meele much of the time and use meele mecha cause well, the party is normally all meele around the boss) Ok we will need to wait and see how the change work in "real game", but really, could we stop with the "random nerf every patch" just because the class is the Mecha? (they even nerfed the robot AOE of the autoattack from 240 to 130 now..........)

Gamers Nexus video or in the Intel original slide have info about gw2 performance (in the slide with all games improved tested), and the result from old to new drivers is less than 10% difference as improvement........ Considering GW2 pass to dx11 from dx9, cancelling dx9 from the option, and i didn't see some slide or test about dx11, the result you could have is all a gamble, like, you need to wait after april and the full passage gw2 to dx11, test it or wait some info about it for the fps in the game (or simple play the game and hope in nice fps with your setup). On the difference in experience with a 6600XT, i really don't know, cause you need to see the fps with the card and the same CPU + RAM you are currently using, for a vs test against the A770. Well, you have the A770, you are the "tester" in this case.

Mechanical Genius change isn't good, cause a 360 range and 5 secs time is too little, 70% of the time, the robot or the player are out of reach for some millimeter on screen, or for a random dodge done, expecially if Robot is range and mecha use rifle. Became around 40% of the time when Robot is meele and mecha is rifle, cause you can check better distance to a robot meele, but even in that case, a dodge, change of target or something else get the out of range malus, and all that is really problematic and annoying, BUT, considering people have no idea how much damage Robot do in reality, i end up not bothering too much about it, cause Robot damage is really low............ and testing it is so simple that is ridiculous how low is, but seeing what people posted around the forum gave me many doubt about it. Well, i will post my experience. Test is simple, Robot hit target without skill (i use meele robot, so no 100% crit or near it), mecha use rifle skill 1. Full boons on me, and full malus on the golem. First test i use Rifle and Robot, second test i use ONLY rifle, robot get offline (use F4) In the first test, i reach near 21k, not the damage i like to see on an OP Mecha as people describe it. (other classes can do even better using only an extra skill, tested them) In the second test, i reach near 17k, so, the Robot do around 4k, dps + dps -, Ranger pet do around 3k-4k dps too, not so different considering, in the end, ranger have Untamed doing around 38k-39k dps and Mecha is around 32k as dps. You all can do the same test, i am curious to see the various result. (maybee even a full dps test to see how much difference all the pet skill have on the final dps reached)
  19. Care to simple share skills, weapons and stats-traits of this "build" who do more dps then before? My build is literally under 30k dps now (instead of the original 32k) so i want to know what are you using to check what i do wrong with mine.
  20. Noone ever think that people chooce mostly mecha as a class cause they like THE ROBOT? My main at the start of the game was a ranger cause i liked the pet, not for the "power or not" of the class, simple for liking the pet running around. But no, all the choices in this game need to be based around power, so if people choose mecha is because the class is OP........ so mecha get hitted with nerf even though there was no need for them after July patch.....

Well yeah, i wait official tests too, but from other posts, DPS is bad now with FB, so, don't know, we will see (for my playstyle F1 kill regen burning build, i lost a lot dps (no more full page after an enemy kill), that is why i asked what build was used to get +5k dps over normal 32k+ pre patch test).
  22. All good and normal on paper, but in "game", we do less dps now, and that is a fact (Golem PVE as test). Why and where we lost dps is the point we need to understand, because like you wrote, i too, reading the changes on paper was sure we get kind of same damage passing from 3 to 2 hit (maybee a tiny bit less then before, that could happen after loosing an hit and from less mechanics calculation involved as bonus add damage from the extra hit), BUT that wasn't the case in "game" when the real test was done. I repeat, i don't know why the lost dps happened and where is the cause/problem, maybee the DEVs can make some light on it.

Yeah, the Robot damage is around 25% or less, depend the setting, but now is even less if you consider the penalty of the 360 range in action, so, the Robot can even do less damage then a ranger pet, even though, the basic of the Mecha class is founded on the Shared Robot damage and skill.............. Mecha loose utility F skills, 80% of the trait of the spec for the Robot, and we get nerf on nerf every patch......... and the max dps of the power spec BEFORE the patch was 32k-33k only as max........ (now i think is a bit lower too).
  24. Could be a bug. Maybee try with some stun or daze that are like 2 seconds duration on monsters without defiant bar on them.

I reported the number from my tests against the golem, and there is difference (in nerf final damage), don't know why but there is, maybee some extra aftercast, cooldown, or simple the fact that noone considered the base damage of the third hit we lost in the total final damage? Sincerely, don't know, what i know is that we lost some dps, that is affecting all specs and core engi........ In PVP-WvW is hard to notice for the low coefficient.
