  1. So much meh in an update. It seems like they are really trying to remove anything distinctive about the classes. So why not just abolish them and just dispose of the fiction. Why have any diversity at all except so sell additional character slots. Truly an unimpressive direction the last few updates have gone.
  2. Queued PvP from outside the PvP area. Game swapped to a different weapon set (hammer which I had equipped to use as scrapper) which my profession couldn't use (currently mechanist). Game doesn't allow me weapons ... EVEN OUT OF COMBAT. So played the whole match with a weapon that I couldn't use. First off, if you're level 80, the game should not swap your weapons/professions/skills when you enter PvP. I understand if you're under 80 because your pvp build can be a build you can't normally run yet. But if you're level 80, DON'T HAVE THE GAME SWITCH YOUR GEAR OR SKILLS.
  3. Just ran into this issue while trying to complete Heart of Thorns. Braham won't interact and won't talk. You can pull mobs on him and then he'll fight and then he follow you around for a bit. I tried clearing the rest of the cave area with him (including the room full of chak), but then he just stands there and nothing. Such a waste of time. His dialogue trigger needs to be looked at. Especially for a paid expansion quest, it needs to be working correctly.
  4. Let us skip dialogue/cut scenes that we've already seen before on another character. I literally just walk away from the computer and come back and some dialogue is still playing. It's soooooooo unnecessary.
  5. If you take the "sandstorm shroud" trait which converts desert shroud, the UI color is confusing. While manifest sand shades and other player effects are green circles, the timer sandstorm shrouds are yellow (the same color as enemy damage AOEs). Please change sandstorm shrouds circle color to green or some other color that's not confused as enemy AOE.
  6. I've noticed after the core game, that most of the expansions seem to have more and more unskippable dialogue and scenes that you have to play through for EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER. I understand that the developer put some work into the story, but we don't need to see it multiple times. I would just prefer every one of these scenes to have a SKIP button. Also some of these little episodes go on too long. If you get disconnected or whatever, yeah it's a mess to have to play over from the beginning. It doesn't help that the instructions/directions in-game is seriously lacking. I don't believe the game's idea of immersion is supposed to be opening up a webpage aka wiki in order to figure out what you're supposed to do.
  7. Seeing these discussions on dual classes and I really miss how Guildwars 1 had real dual classes. Here's a suggestion on how to implement GW2 Dual Classes using a lot of the existing functionality available in the game now. This would add so much customization and variation to the game. It could also possibly/probably break the game (but why not?) 1. Unlock dual classes (can be unlocked in xpac) 2. All classes granted ability to weapon swap during combat (10 second cooldown in combat) 3. Each weapon bar is assigned to a specific class or elite specialization. This selection will control class specific extra bars like attunement, tool belts, shroud, virtues etc. Weapon swapping out of that weapon removes the ability to use active/passives from that selection (i.e. a mechanist bar swapping to an elementalist bar will lose the jade mech) 4. Can use any weapon available to the main or secondary class. If both classes can use an equipped weapon, you have the option to select which class weapon skills will be assigned to that weapon (probably by right-clicking on the equipped weapon and selected one vs the other). 5. A 4th trait line is opened. Each trait line can be selected from the following: 1st trait line: selected from any base specialization of main class 2nd trait line: can be selected from base specialization of main or secondary class 3rd trait line: can be selected from base/elite specialization of main class 4th trait line: can be selected from any base/elite specialization of main or secondary class 6. Secondary class is locked to whatever the 4th trait line is assigned (either a base or elite specialization). i.e. it's therefore possible to be double same base class like Warrior/Warrior. It's also possible to have double (but different) elite specialization from the main class (like Scourge/Harbinger). The main class still would be based on whatever the 3rd trait line is set to. 7. Elite specializations on secondary class will also need to be unlocked using hero points but all base skills do not need to be unlocked. More hero points will need to be added to the game or some method of reassigning hero points. 8. Utility bar. Utility bar uses existing restrictions of slot 1 healing/ slot 5 elite but skills may be selected from either class 9. (Optional - this might be difficult to develop) Ascended skill added. The Ascended skill is created from each trait line. A new keybind and button is added at the end of the utility bar. The passive version of the Ascended skill enhances all the selected options selected in that trait line. An active form of the skill creates an effect based on the combination of selected traits in the trait line.
  8. I really had no idea about action camera. It starts off unbound I think (mine was unbound) and I came back to my level 30ish characters after a couple of years, maybe I totally skipped a guide or tutorial or something. I feel like half of this game requires an online guide to look things up.
  9. Ah, I was literally just looking at that option and trying it out. I had thought it did something else. Thanks
  10. I've just recently started playing this game again after starting and stopping a while back. I've noticed after long gaming sessions that it generates a LOT of right click mouse fatigue from having to hold down the right mouse key during virtually the entire gameplay (which can be hours). Maybe some don't even think about it, but I've been playing years and years of MMOs and this one I feel has some of the worse mouse click fatigue in the genre. Would it be possible to just turn on mouse look all the time and then have a toggle key to turn on the cursor for when you need to do "normal" mouse click/press stuff? It seriously would make everyone's game life easier in GW2. Or even just put it as an option if some people really prefer pressing RMB all day long.
  11. First time posting to these forums. Just bought the expansions yesterday. Got stuck on the mastery xp bar with the game giving zero explanation of what's going on. Tried to get this mastery point and this "challenge" is bad design. Should've literally had it done but the game decides not to register the last ingredient thrown while I still had a tick of timer left. Every other run is just frustrating as hell. The chef sometimes doesn't even announce an ingredient and just tells you that you failed. Or you hit the chef with the food but it doesn't register that. It's just sad, frustrating and stupid.
