  1. They should have relocated the new or old shadestep trait to amplified siphoning. The new specter playstyle feels a bit boring now.
  2. I agree, the approach feels quite lazy and I'm not sure if it's because anet's financial department would prefer to save money. But I do hope they will spend more time adding new attack animations.
  3. I absolutely would love this. Maybe hold a community event, for best haircut just like with the 3 weapon skins some years ago!
  4. monk, monk or something that just uses 2 focuses as a melee weapon.
  5. I love where in each new expansion, certain especialisations do get a new battle animation from their utility skills. Would it be ever possible to give that same amount of attention to weapon specialisations? It would be fantastic if you could give that same level of care and details to it. For example the hook strike from daredevils look fitting from that specialisation, but perhaps it could use a different animation when you're using it on a deadeye? Ever since HoT I keep seeing animations that feel a bit recycled far too often. How do you all feel about it? Is this needed or are recycled animations more than enough?
  6. As much as I appreciate the swift changes you and your team are currently making, I can't help but notice a pattern here. Why do balance teams keep fixing things that aren't broken only to fix these things gradually over many months? The balance team has kept making massive steps backwards, only to move forward at an incredibly slow pace. It only creates a feeling where all of you are simply drained from your passion and are living from paycheck to paycheck. I agree with the criticisms being thrown here, but let me add to something that people weren't mentioning allot about; the thief specialisation changes. Gonna start out with the great elements. Quickness deadeye is quite fun to play, but it's definitely hitting too hard, so the nerf is quite needed. Just don't overdo it. That very same can be said for specters. However, the fact that you relocated the specter wells into its shroud made the wells practically useless in pve, which is a shame. You also took my personal favorite trait away, which was Shadestep before the rework. Why not apply that very same effect to a different trait that's barely used? Like Amplified Siphoning? If all of you are willing to make drastic changes, why not kick it up a notch? Remove quickness and alacrity.
  7. So I recently have reached a point where I have used all my balls to craft the legendary armors I needed. But nowadays I found myself having collecting a bit too many of these. Could we or could we not get some type of sink where we can make good use of balls of dark energy we don't need? It would be a shame to throw it all away...
  8. Why would you rework shadestep? Being able to rez one person u select was my personal favorite trait for specter and came quite in handy in numerous occasions during KO CMs. The patch notes say that the trait where u give alacrity to party members basically got removed? Am I understanding this correctly? I feel like this balance patch has been stripping away unique identities off certain builds and classes and make them allot more dull. I expected mild, but helpful changes to the specter, but it feels like you boon-stripped specters from a very important element, which was making it fun. If this balance patch had a flavor it would taste bland. It's as if 3 people are just figuring out how to keep their job by creating issues but also solving problems at the same time. Uninspired, squeezed out of its passion. Gotta keep on working.
  9. Daredevil utility skills have not been up to snuff ever since what feels like its release, but these were completely left in the shadows. Why?
  10. This balance patch was outstanding, keep up with the positive momentum. I personally wished that the balance team could look into and rework the utility skills for Daredevils, because these have been useless for so many years.
  11. So I came across this reddit thread where arenanet has been opening themselves for multiple job positions and it got people speculating. It even had me reflect allot on my position within guild wars 2. And it really got me to question how guild wars 1 players moved on after having spent so much time of our lives into playing the game with a passion, only for it to let go like this. So how do you cope with that feeling where guild wars 2 becomes a thing in the past, when Guild Wars 3 could be the next thing? I can't find the answer to that question yet, so I was looking for some possible answers from all of you? I doubt a Guild Wars 2: A Realm Reborn would ever happen for multiple reasons, so how would you all feel about if Guild Wars 2 pulled off something similar to that? Thank you for taking your time to read and answer to this thread in advance.
  12. Now hear me out. That item isn't tradeable in the slightest, it's a rather pointless item. These can't come in stacks, so you'ré pretty much forced to use them from the get-go, so why not spice it up just a little? So the idea is that the Gift from Scarlet should blast you into a downed state, while also slapping off 20% HP on other players within a small AoE range. I think would be a great interactive item to use on other players. The potential use of these things become much more entertaining to use against your friends, family, your goldfish, you name it. And the best of all: Destroy bot farmers with it. Does this idea sound appealing or rather appalling? Would you want to have the GoS stay the way it is? Maybe you have some other suggestions of how you would want to rework this particular item?
  13. It's a small detail I noticed was missing after this patch. I swapped maps after 15 minutes staying in one, then moved to the next one to check if it wasn't a loading issue. But the sound effects are still lacking. Are there other people who noticed it?
  14. There are great suggestions being shown here. I do think it would be nice, since many of us have kept supporting this game since release, that the 10th anniversary should be special. Getting a useful legendary item for our 10th anniversary would be fantastic! Maybe a legendary infusion of some sort. But realistically, based on what we got last year I'd say we're getting: 1. Title 2. Piece of Unidentified Gear/10 Obsidian shards 3. Legendary handshake + karma
  15. As much as I appreciate the quick hotfix, it does not take away the fact, in hindsight, that many these changes over time, made by your balance team, should have never been released or been made in the first place, given where we are now. Boosting up the damage, STILL won't make classes like Chronomancers more fun to play. I'd like to repeat myself by stating that, many chrono mechanics have been stripped away from that class, that made it not fun to play anymore. A friend of mine said: "They took a shadowstep backwards and are now walking forwards with cripple" Keep up with the positive momentum and make sure to not accidentally shadowstep back. Please. And thank you.
