I do not know where else to ask this.
In the wake of the Steam release I made an addon that will tell Steam that the Steam version of Guild Wars 2 is running when actually the standalone version is running.
I made it anticipating that all too many people will look at Steam player counts to gauge the health of Guild Wars 2's player base. I am wondering though, is any of it against any company policy?

It does not affect Guild Wars 2 files or behavior at all, and as for the Steam side, people have been using programs like Steam Idle Master for many years, which rely on the same technique.
However, it would be nice to have some sort of confirmation. I could see how Steam would allow things like Idle Master but might look less favorably on an addon such as this if it significantly skews their statistics.
