  1. I am a casual player with little time. I do enjoy GW2 as my relax game. I absolutely do not expect to be able to do everything/get everything due to the time contraints. I am perfectly fine with that. I am unclear on krypis essence and all around it. Unsure if it is worth my attention/goldsink in my situation. My question is... except grinding for legendary gear, available in the future... is there any point to rift hunting/motivations and kryptis essences as a whole when I am almost 100% sure I wont go for the legendary armor anyway due to the grindy nature of getting it and the huge timesink? My playstyle doesnt suffer at all from having zero legendaries anyway. Can you do anything else with krypis essences save making motivations to get more/different essences and the legendary armor set that I am missing? Rift hunting, getting Kryptis essences, making motivations to get more krypis essences... all feels rather grindy and not much fun and I havent found anythin usefull to me to do with the essences in the first place. I like doing a rift when I stumble onto one by chance. Dont seek them out. I have more fun activities to do ingame. So if the only use for doing this is working for a reward I am not going to grind for anyway... Id like to know if I can just ignore it and delete the essences that clutter up my bags.
  2. I do think it is rather way to much grind and/or cost for basically just a skin. Honestly a skin I personally really do not like. But that is a matter of taste so millage may vary. And it is a shame to loose out of a few hundred astral acclaim. But I do not feel forced into it myself. It is simply not worth it to me for just this, time and enjoyment and goldsink wise.
  3. All what i am about to say is based on the assumption it is quite a lot of work/time for the developers to implement this and not as easy as it sounds. If not and it is a breeze, ignore all this and "YES PLEASE". While I obviously would love more ranger pets as that is pretty much my main (necro close second), this would only benefit a portion of players, ranger players, like me. Rangers have quite a few pets to choose from as it is (also in the same group, so multiple bears, cats...so you can mostly just pick for looks there). In that respect I already find them more able to customize then other classes looks wise as the pets are an extra customize option on top of what other classes have (weapons, armor, outfits). One of the reasons I love ranger in fact. And every now and then we get more added with expansions (unlike necromancers, who never got a new minion). This might one day also mean some of the older creatures (with possible new expansion skin) eventually being made into a tamable pet. And like you I have some I would love to see eventually being added to the stable. Granted if you are a ranger that only ever wants to use a very limited set of pets... the costumization would be less then for a swapping out pets in everything but the harder content just for the giggles player like me. I think it would be a bit much to give one class all that development time to make (multiple) extra skins for each type of animal we can already pick, assuming it is quite time intensive to make new non existing yet skins. Let alone a new pet class with all the specific skills/animations (except the time of an expansion where new creatures are made anyway and is a special moment). Adding for each pet type all the recolors that already exist in the world would be nice. As it would not need a new skin/pettype/animation. Though that would require quite a bit more petslots, or the adding of dropdown menus to chose from. which I assume sounds way easier to implement then it actually is.
  4. Still not fixed. I just had the dc at balthazar twice and twice at the joko line "I don't need you." This instance, to add insult to injury is the longest tedious, most non fun instance ever. Way to long grindy annoying fights (2 of them), endless talking and bugs that needs you to do it all again. I don't think I can face a 3th time doing it all.... for the second time. My first character who done this way back had the same problem. Now i recall why I didn't want to finish the bloody story ever again. Which is a shame as story is the part I like best in the game. Also each try eats up all or a huge part of my available gametime.
  5. I am very casual due to limited playtime due to work, family and such. GW2 has no subscription, so what I bought will be there for me always (till servers close). I can jump in whenever I want and also it feels good to not feel "pressured" to play because I payed for a period and feel like I am wasting money. Actually the reason I quit wow and bought GW2 instead years ago). It doesn't cost me anything to stay. The game is still fun in short play sessions. And a while longer whenever a new living story/sage whatever gets released. All these years playing also got me invested enough to want to keep the game around, it's familiar with plenty of nice memories. Gear also does not gets outdated, so a break doesn't have me play catch up. It's also a game easy to jump back into playwise. I also play ESO for these same reasons. My only 2 mmo's these days. Due to the huge time-investment MMO's usually take and my limited playtime, I don't see myself taking up a new one from scratch. GW2 and ESO together got my MMO itch covered. They are fairly different, both have their own special things for me.
  6. Love the skyscale. More then i thought i would. It quickly became my nr 1 mount now it's all mastered up. I like to casually explore, don't usually need to be places asap. And skyscale is perfect for it. Been revisiting maps to knock out some achievements I hadn't done yet/could not reach/were to troublesome and the skyscale made it way easier. Also it gives a new perspective on a lot of maps, making me revisit maps and fly around having fun, just playing tourist. All maps are totally revitalized (for a while) by scyscale for me. So yeah I'd definitely;y say Skyscale is a pleasure to fly. And safe the bit over the top 250 currency for each map (had about 1/3th), I didn't mind the collections and such. Took me a little over 3 weeks total.
  7. I think you don't. I don't and I have the same playstyle but without the wvw. I am far from being a min/maxer. I do like the occasional upgrade all the same though. Just not chasing it. I don't need the best, good enough is... well good enough. And I get by just fine without crafting. You slowly build up to good gear anyway you want, and once you have it you are set. You don't outgrow gear. My playtime is limited and sporadic (leaving me out of raids and fractals) and I don't feel like wasting so much of it on crafting. Well honestly a long time ago I leveled weaponsmith to max to make my first and only ascended weapon for my then and still reaper main, a greatsword. And that kinda made me forgo any further crafting. It's just to timeconsuming and boring to me. The ascended greatsword is nice, but I could have done without and 2 years later i still haven't bothered making another ascended weapon, not even a weaponsmith one despite having it leveled. All my other crafts are around the 100 mark (been playing since the game came out) if I even have it on one of my 3 characters. Some quests ask for crafted stuff, like the lamp from the skyscale collection. But seeing i just sell all my mats I gather i could simply buy that of the TP. And for some things you do need gold... 250 for instance for the griffon if you go for that. A bit for porting around. And the rest for me goes in fun stuff really that's nice to have but not needed. So I get that whenever and if I have the gold saved up casually. I do not grind for gold. I get it when i get it playing how and what I like to play. Which is definitely not maximized for gold profit, not even in the same ballpark ^^
  8. I wish I could do it for you. But I definitely would not recommend giving account info to a stranger, even if they seem well meaning. So maybe a friend, family member. It won;t take them long and you don't need to know the game at all or have skill with the game skills for it. Just the one thing that is difficult for you due to your disability, fast nimble reflexes and movement. And also kudos for getting this far. I hope that you have tons of fun in the game now and in the future.
  9. Basically just a underwater mount like many mentioned before me. Unless they find another niche use that is very unique to a mount, I personally think we would be covered with the underwater mount in all areas. But hey the game makers might have some creative ideas I haven't thought off. If there never will be another (save underwater) I would not miss them.
  10. "Port me" is a demand in how it's worded. Might not be ment as it, could be someone not good in english, whatever. Just a simple adding of please makes it from a demand into a request. Nothing wrong with requests. But most of the time (there are some exceptions like real life emergencies and such) demanding a stranger to do something for you isn't polite/the right way to go about things. I think people are always free to say no to a demand in such a case or simply ignore it. If the one demanding then goes into a tantrum, keeps demanding, insults or whatever, then that is clearly rude on their part and they definitely aren't owned any help.
  11. I usually say thanks. But unless I specifically asked for it (I never ever demand it, another player does not own me his her playtime and effort in any shape or form to port me) or a mesmer went out of his/her way for me to help with something that would have cost me a lot of time I don't usually tip in game gold. To be honest I don't play that much (lovely, very active and demanding, badly sleeping 4 year old tends to do that to a mom ;) ), don't grind and am often pretty much strapped for gold. I often type "thanks kind mesmer" or mesmers rock or something to that end, as I don't always know which player put down the portal. It can go both ways too though. I have taken a portal, said thanks for the portal I didn't request but appreciated, which was being put up time and time again for a relative simple jumping puzzle. I said thanks as it saved me a few minutes and I appreciate the help. But then the mesmer started spamming if you are grateful tip me, give money, give gold, money please money please. That to be honest did not actually entice me to tip, quite to opposite, and I preferred not to have taken the portal at all. My gratitude kinda vanished too. Also had some mesmers complain about the tip being to low. Luckily this all is pretty rare in my experience, but I had it a dozen times or so. But most often the mesmers that helped me are just being nice and not asking anything in return. I happily say thanks to them, and really appreciate them. I like nice people being nice for the sole reason of being nice. The world needs more of those :)
  12. 1 Griffon (most fun for me, can do most things I want, favorite looks wise)2 Bunny/Skyscale (Skyscale might go up once I have all masteries and got well used to it. Both great for climbing heights, which i use depends on situation. And both help giving griffon a height boost. Depending on how good Skyscale gets for me Bunny might drop down significantly. But right now I still love and use it a lot))3 Raptor (for fast ground travel though I still tend to use griffon for that even if slower. Just used to it and it hops over obstacles easily)4 Jackal (for sand portals)5 skimmer (for fast over vast dangerous/annoying surfaces like water and lava)6 Rollerbeetle (never use it. I suck at it and probably always will due to having no fun using it. I never was any good at racing games either. It's not fast for me because all i do is bump into every wall/obstacle and drop off cliffs).7 Warclaw (because I don;t wvw and don't own it (yet?))
  13. Because the vast majority of time I spend in game is playing solo, so more to do solo is welcome and in fact the reason for me to buy expansions. Classic questing for me from another option would fit with this as well. I am in a guild, I do like multiplayer stuff, but real life just doesn't merge well at the moment with commitments that most group content requires.
  14. Picked this because I personally don't want to change race on any of my characters (I have only 3). A new race might entice me to make a new character. But I am fine if neither comes to pass either, unless it does not take away development time from anything else I rather have, because why not then ^^.
