  1. I think @Mic.1897 has convinced himself that Sylvari ranger core is Meta, or at worse, could some day be. So, he can't lose either way! Who knows, maybe some day it will be πŸ˜„
  2. I am new, so I am not so far, but I already know that I also personally am not a fan of jumping puzzles πŸ˜„ So far the starter zone ones aren't bad, but I know they can get pretty hairy. I rather just avoid them if possible.
  3. I was super super 😠when I bought the Steam super collection, and got all the living seasons INSTEAD of the gems, because that's what I thought I was getting, when I purchased that. I admit, i was ignorant. But, at the same time, it's very poor handling by both steam and GW2 to not offer the same package, which only leads to confusion and distress. As has already been stated, it's more or less, the exact same thing, I now realize. I will "slow play" the game, and by the time I even get to level 80+ and even start to feel like I need to experience the living worlds, I will have several (yearly?) opportunities to buy the Living Seasons on sale, if I still want what they have to offer. Or, I can pivot and use the gems in any other fashion I deem fit. Steam, to their credit, refunded my purchase. And after calming down like a dummy, and thinking about it, I ended up going for the GW2 shop collection purchase with the 4000 gems. In short, I was committed to playing GW2 for the foreseeable future πŸ˜„ But, yeah it's a big issue of confusion.
  4. I am gonna commit to this game, for reals, just wanna figure out where I thrown down my €100 for the next couple of years of entertainment πŸ˜ƒ It basically comes down to the Living World packs OR 4000 gems. Personally, I don't really care for story, and tbh I rather do without it. I hate when stuff is gated behind it -- that is usually the only reason why I let myself get dragged down that road. I like to make "my own story" πŸ˜ƒ Is there anything that is really nice gated behind any of the Living World content, that I cannot get anywhere else?? I guess that is the question. On the flip side, I am 100% completely new and have no idea what I would do with 4000 gems. I have read that I could just use the gems to get the Living world seasons, and even get them on a seasonal sale if I so desired. Just curious what is best. Any input? Thanks in advance.
  5. Thanks for replies. Ok, my logic sounds good. I want to level my first toon to 80 -- to see the world, which in turn will get me easily to 80.
  6. I am just curious, since I want to enjoy the game in it's entirety from start to finish, I have a hard time seeing the benefits of the 80 level boosts? Am I missing something? I guess maybe I can save them, and after I level up to 80, I can pop them then, on any other class I might want. But, it just seems odd, as a new player to want to get instantly "caught up" to level 80, in a horizontal progressing game. Or, am i missing something?? I mean, i assume, the exploration of the world was the whole point? πŸ˜ƒ
