  1. Honestly, it seems like the current devs don't play the game the same way that a player would. This "fix" sounds like it was theory crafted without actually playing the game and understanding how the existing mechanic worked in real open world gameplay. The 30s vs 90s timer discussion makes no sense, because the way the Jade Protocol Buff worked before today's "fix" was that you only got buffed at the beginning of combat, and the buffs would not reapply until the next time you entered combat. The patch notes make it sound like the devs thought that it was applying repeatedly during combat. This was never the case and still is not the case. Most classes and current builds in the game underperform in solo open world content because they lack the full set of boons that the devs obviously "balanced" the class around. The Jade Bot Protocol buff gave players a way to play for a brief moments with the full set of buffs (like with the training dummy) and only gave an advantage when grinding random trash mobs. The buffs did not last long enough to give a lasting advantage for Champion or Boss fights. As other players already pointed out, the buffs were lost in instanced content, WvW, and PVP. I always felt like the Jade Protocol was the sort of thing that was intended to motivate Free to Play users to purchase expansions and upgrade their accounts without imbalancing open world play. It worked before, but it's broken now. It's just not worth the hassle of traveling to an EoD map (or Skywatch Archipelago) to apply the buffs, even for the extra Power, Armor, etc. I've been playing GW2 for 11 years, and EoD felt like a backslide in quality for ANET, and now SotO is starting to feel even worse. I just don't feel enthusiastic about a future expansion with these kinds of changes to the game being rolled out. The Jade Bot Protocol was a small thing that many of your PAYING customers enjoyed using for open world. Please acknowledge the mistake and roll it back ANET.
  2. Today's "QOL" change to the Jade Protocol Buff makes them almost useless and pointless to apply now. They only ever worked in open world content, and the few players that used them regularly seemed to be satisfied with where and how they worked. I don't understand why ANET decided to break them. They are not even worth bothering to grab now unless you happen to already be playing on a Cantha map. Might just be another reason for players to forget about the EoD expansion.
  3. We need more people raising this issue to ANET. Needs a fix ASAP, should not have been messed with in the first place.
  4. Seeing this same issue in Bloodstone Fen along the creek from Salvation Springs POI.
  5. I noticed this as well that if the Hero Panel is moved around you will sometimes get a glimpse of a partial render. This seems to indicate that the issue boils down to something about the render overlay being misaligned to the screen resolution when DPI scaling is enabled. It seems like there is an invisible border that is not positioning correctly and is obscuring the render. I really wish ANET would just roll back the patch at this point until they can "look into" the issue further.
  6. Found a "fix" for this that is working for me. Navigate to where your Guild Wars 2 folder is installed and create a shortcut for the GW2-64.exe by right clicking the file and selecting: Send to > Desktop (create shortcut) This shortcut can then be moved wherever you like on your PC. Personally, I place mine back inside the Guild Wars 2 install folder to keep things tidy. You can also Pin the shortcut to your Start menu by right clicking and selecting the Pin to Start option. Now right click on the shortcut that you created and select Properties. Where it says Target, add -autologin to the end of the command path. Note that there is a space in front of the dash, and there is no need to change anything else in the command path line. Your actual install path may differ from mine, but the end of the Target line should look like this: "C:\Games\Guild Wars 2\Gw2-64.exe" -autologin Click Okay at the bottom of the window and launch Guild Wars 2 with your newly edited shortcut. If your edit was done correctly, the shortcut will open the launcher window with your account already logged in, with the Play button ready to start the game. Hope this helps some of you who are having this same issue!
  7. I'm wondering if ANET is even monitoring this Bug Report thread yet. This is a significant bug and breaks the game for many people. Text is completely unreadable on my screen, and the mouse cursor is like a tiny dot on the screen with DPI Scaling disabled. Disabling DPI is just not an option for many players with high resolution screens. The in-game UI scaling option does not offer enough scaling options, and also does not scale the mouse cursor like system DPI settings do. ANET if you are reading this, can we get a dev or customer service reply please to let us know that your company is aware of this issue? Also, many of your customers are complaining about this issue over on the Guild Wars 2 subreddit as well.
  8. There has been an intermittent issue since a patch last month where the launcher will sometimes not auto fill the login credentials from the last login, even when the appropriate boxes are checked. Closing the launcher and opening it again usually fixes this issue, with the Account Name and Password fields usually being auto filled correctly after 1 or 2 attempts when this bug occurs. The most recent patch however seems to have made this bug permanent, with the log in credentials not being auto filled correctly no matter how many times the launcher is closed and reopened.
  9. The most recent patch seems to have broken DPI scaling. When DPI scaling is toggled on, the Hero Panel and Gem Shop preview panels no longer work. Toggling off DPI scaling fixes the rendering issue, however the UI is now too tiny to read on a 4k screen, making the game unplayable, even with "Interface Size" set to the highest setting.
