  1. Hello, maybe someone can help me here. I have the medium health bottle unlocked on my SAB character, but it's not unlocked in the achievement. Is there ANY way to fix this besides playing a brand new character up until the first chance to buy it in W2?
  2. Don't forget it's a mesmer, and right now, you need portals to handle the malice adds. Only mesmer can bring actually good portals to a fight (Thief portals are just worse in every regard, and scourge portals don't have enough range).
  3. You mean the boring as kitten hp slog without any real mechanics? No thanks.
  4. the problem isn't difficult content - it's the missing middle ground between easy stuff like Dagda CM and this CM. These are the only 2 encounters we get for a whole year. It's missing the difficulty level of something like KO CM or OLC CM, which is a level that a lot of the usual raid audience enjoys. Being able to clear raid CMs and stuff like KO CM shows that someone is clearly NOT a casual anymore. I like how they plan to handle the nerfs for this fight. Original will stay available with extra special title, but it might become clearable for the majority of the raiding/strike CM playerbase (which isn't a large playerbase to begin with). Let's be real here - the NM is boring as hell.
  5. I've had this happen on our home keep on BBL. Defended the garrison for about 25 minutes against multiple attack waves and never got defense participation... Defended bay on the same map once and instantly got it. Might be bugged, I guess. Usually works for me, but your mileage may vary of course.
  6. Doesn't matter how you kill them. You just have to have participated in their killing by doing damage or giving boons to allies who did. There's some sort of threshold you have to meet before you have tagged the kill though, so doing 3 damage might not be enough.
  7. It would still be impossible to clear for a vast majority of the raiding/strike CM playerbase. Having challenging content is fine, but when you get a whopping 2 (in words: TWO!!!) encounters per year, it's just not good to have one laughable easy one like Dagda and one brutal grindfest like Cerus. We need a middleground, OR more content. EDIT: By middle ground I mean something on the level of KO CM (but please not another "you better play virtuoso here" encounter, so don't copy that from KO), which has some coordination challenges, roles and a certain level of overall difficulty. OLC CM is also nice, but could be a bit more punishing in some areas.
  8. To get defense event participation, you need to kill an attacker. The problem here is, who is an attacker? It's irrelevant where you kill them, the important thing is that they have either killed other defenders (people already having participation for the defense event), OR one of the NPC guards. That's basically it. Very unreliable, but now you know. The easiest thing to do is to spam out boons to your allies, increasing the chance of tagging an attacker. Another (kinda) reliable way is to capture an objective and hope that there are some defenders left after capping it, because they usually instantly count as attackers once it flipped (defenders become attackers, basically).
  9. God mode. Increase DPS by 500% and make them invulnerable and they can do it.
  10. When the difficulty comes from the DPS check, it doesn't matter whether you nerf the HP (requiring people to do less DPS) or buff the DPS. The result is the same -> You remove more % per second.
  11. I still hope you are being satirical. Whether you nerf the encounter of buff the DPS makes no difference for that encounter, but makes a MASSIVE difference for the rest of the game (in a bad way, power creep is always bad).
  12. Just buff every build to 50-60k already and finally trivialize everything else (everything released before EoD, and partly EoD strikes too) in the process. Anet balancing philosophy, probably?
  13. POWER CREEP! POWER CREEP! We need more POWER CREEP!
  14. Given that Anet was aiming for the difficulty of KO CM, this is kinda ridiculous. The DPS Check is tighter than HT CM. Even the Snow Crows progression - you know, the people who DO THE BENCHMARKS - doesn't have enough DPS. How are the devs expecing a large chunk of the raid/strike CM players to clear this? This will never be puggable either. Unlike KO CM, which they have been comparing their difficulty goals to.
  15. The special objectives are completely optional. You don't have to do them. I have the raid armor already so won't be crafting the new one, probably. But I am fine with that. Same Argument as with the Dagda CM special mission a while back. You don't have to do it. It's just an optional incentive to venture into stuff you might ignored.
  16. The fight is incredibly punishing already. The smallest mistake will cost you the whole try. The amount of on the spot coordination required to handle the 3 green AoEs (Killing Envy is the tactic right now because the double wall can overlap with all the other mechanics and is very hard to deal with) is insane. The difficulty spike from Dagda CM is ridiculous, really. They talked about something on the level of KO CM in the past, but this is HT CM, if not worse. And once again, it's a fight designed for a single DPS build: Condi Virt. Boring.
  17. Hello, are you aware that the encounter once again heavily promotes ranged builds with long range cleave, which narrows down to one build: Condi Virt. There are other DPS builds in the game, could you guys reconsider your encounter design?!
  18. It's the Nvidia Reflex indicator. Not related to the game. You can disable it somewhere within Geforce Experience, but it's very buggy. Uninstall Geforce Experience if you cant get rid of it. See here:
  19. So it's a language problem, not a TS vs Discord issue. What does TS have to do with this then? Also, you can't blame a group of people for speaking in their own native language, especially if we're talking about public tags done by a guild. They know eachother, they speak the same language, they want to have fun. Either accept having to hear non-English trashtalk (commands are usually in English), or don't join. No one forces you. Not using English in Teamchat is kinda rude, yeah, but some just aren't as comfortable using English in voice chats. It's especially a problem if it's the commander who isn't great at speaking the language.
  20. I'd rather have them remove the kitten jumping puzzles from the WvW weeklies. I don't play this gamemode to do PvE content...
  21. The server has nothing to do with visual effects, your client does the work. The server only tells your client which spells have been cast since the last tick. Skill lag = server lag, as in your skills just don't get cast (and keep blinking, for example). Stuttering or FPS drops is something different. Skill lag is this bad partly because Chrono is very strong in the meta. Their clones create new entities that the server also has to handle (AI), increasing the load and reducing server tick. The more skill effects (not the visual part, the actual damage/barrier/boon/whatever part) the server has to calculate per tick, the longer the calculation of each tick takes. Learn your terminology, people.
  22. Do you really want to play WITH those people? It's a good thing that they are quarantined on that server.
  23. Where's the problem? Teamspeak has benefits over Discord for some people. It's not rocket science to use. People who prefer TS usually have no problem with joining other commanders on Discord, why is it such a problem the other way around?
  24. That's one wild stretch. Both Teams I have been matched into are basically dead after 10 pm. Outnumbered on EBG is a very common sight at later hours. The other maps are even more dead.
  25. Since you can't change teams anyway past the cutoff sometime on Thursday, they should show you your next team somewhere imo. This at least gives you the chance to coordinate on some central discord or something.
