  1. Yeah I'm a regular gems purchaser, I have been buying them maybe once or twice a month for the last year, but the last two times (one of them being tonight) prompted me to contact support. I've read that from now on, because of some purchase limits or security check, I may be only allowed one purchase at the time before the next 80808 error, requiring CS intervention everytime. No clue what exactly changed and why it's happening now but it is what it is. It literally killed my will to purchase gems now knowing I may have to contact support. RIP impulse purchases I guess? lol
  2. No there are groups that were lucky with the attack pattern of Soo-Woon and others that weren't. Can't do much to win if she only gives 1 CC in the entire fight and chain tail-tail-tail. Yes, skills and experience are needed, but it's not the breaking point of the fight.
  3. They even said the turtle would be easier to get than the skyscale lmao. Not really, all things considered now. Yeah the Skyscale was annoying with its timegate and grind but at least I was able to start working on it the day it launched and keep steady progression every day, by myself. It's going to be a week since EoD launched soon and I still don't have the collection unlocked beceause it's gated behind this ULTRA HIGH spike of difficulty out of nowhere. I'd take Skyscale 2.0 before any of this.
  4. All of this. And what concerns me the most is that the alternative path of acquisition to the turtle is a big "Maybe". A big fat maybe. Who in their right mind would lock an expansion's main selling feature, something that was advertised everywhere, an expansion meant for new players... Behind such asinine prerequisites and still hold their ground on the fact it musn't be changed sooner? A mount we were even told was designed for us to carry friends around. As more players progress through the expansion and reach that part and start to realize the issue, many more will be repelled and turned off. It'll just get exponential.
  5. And you know what's funny? We'll not get our time back from all these failures. It's gone. At most we'll get apologies and some tweaks to the fight but nothing for playtesting their own release.
  6. Okay no, I'm done. Another fail at 4%, but the boss kept swinging around. Only two CC in the entire fight. What a great way to ruin an expansion's end. 10/10. Two hours of work for this. No thank you. This is kitten. Until major changes are done to this or until the turtle is put elsewhere I'm not wasting my time anymore on this unrewarding piece of content.
  7. Just attempted an organized 50-man squad run. We had everything: Discord, calls, good CCs, good Damage, full buffed, all greens filled. But the boss kept moving around, we only had 1 CC in the entire fight and in the last 3% she decided to ping-pong and be invul all over the place, so we obviously failed. This is seriously infuriating. It's ruining an overall good expansion to me; the amount of stress, frustration, wasted time just to unlock a new mount is maddening to a point I can't enjoy the other content because right now I know everyone is focusing on this so my odds of ever succeeding are now, when people are trying the most, not in a week, not in a month.

  9. I opened my ticket on Tuesday the 27th and haven’t had an update beyond the automatic “looking for a solution” the next morning. Nothing since. I don’t think anyone with an actual invalid serial got their situation resolved. Those who did was because of user errors, like actually purchasing the collection editions by mistake.
  10. It’s not mutually exclusive though. They could have still addressed tickets manually (by providing a working serial) while working for a wider solution all at once. Because by focusing on fixing the problem first, it comes at the cost of making everyone waits for both the product they paid for and updates about the situation until the fix is done, tested and ready. Unless of course they couldn’t even come up with functional serials to begin with which would be worrisome.
  11. Yes, actually. It's been 7 days. A simple "Hey, we haven't forgotten about your ticket, we're still working through the issue" would not only reassure customers, but show a certain care. With that said I'm puzzled about their approach. Couldn't they simply give us a working code and cancel the previous serial?
  12. You need to add the serial code you received by mail manually on your account. If you go on your account do you see End of Dragons as “Active” or “Buy now”?
  13. Oh I’m sorry that I care about what happens with things I paid for? Especially when it’s above 100$ CAD? The level-80 booster situation received numerous updates since the issue started, including a tweet, two notices and even its own dedicated explanation thread in News and Announcements. Meanwhile all those affected by invalid serials have is a mere ‘the team is aware’ post from six days ago somewhere in this thread and nothing else. We don’t even have a dedicated update thread by the devs about it. And worse: people can still receive invalid serial codes as evidenced by WyvrnRipsnarl.5918. The access to EoD’s purchases were not even halted despite the clear presence of a major issue. It’s not about the wait, it’s not about the goodies, it’s simply about communication and showing activity. The bare minimum.
  14. Oh, thanks for taking the risk, not we know 😕 They should definitely halt purchases until this is resolved. How can this happen when HoT and PoF both went so smoothly...
  15. Yeah the level 80 booster had more acknowledgment and updates about it (at least one tweet and now two announcements) than our situation. I’m having trouble believing Anet has nothing to share nor didn’t discover anything in three days. Hell we don’t even have a thread about this in News and Announcements. Can we at least have a proper acknowledgment?
  16. And 4000 gems. And indeed, with Eod being so far away, there is no reason for them to keep my 104$ CAD, I'll spend this elsewhere until they sort this out.
  17. Indeed but I'd rather have my ticket and my waiting be about a refund request than waiting for something I paid for to even work with a very vague "We're doing... things... and your purchase will work... at some point, maybe".
  18. To be honest I’m not liking how this is handled. Three days and we still don’t know how this is going to be addressed nor when. For the price I paid I expect better. Right now as it stand my money is being held, I was not given the product I paid for and we’re kept in the dark about this. I mean, players are already figuring out that the issue is because we were accidentally given Collection serial codes (which don’t work on accounts with pre-owned expansions), so how hard can it be to simply give affected players a working code? Yeah I know they’re working on a solution. Of course they are. I know we should all be waiting. And I know they’re doing ‘their best’, but I still feel it’s not being handled properly. I could take the situation into my own hand, ask for a refund since the code I was given is defective and purchase at a later date when all of this is sorted out. At least I would be in control.
  19. My patience is also running thin. I paid 104$ CAD, I expect better than “We’re going to come back with a solution……. Someday”. I’m tempted to ask for a refund and purchase later. I don’t like to have my money held like this…

  22. Ha! We even have the same CS agent. I’m glad you got it sorted out for yourself, but like I said, in my case, I’m locked out of activating EoD despite purchasing the expansion itself (outside the collection) ... so tough luck for me? Though I guess they could indeed issue a refund for me to try again anyway.
