  1. I have some concerns for the what is going on with the balance of the game. I want to mention that this isn't intended to be a rant, but feedback and constructive criticism related to changes that might be bad for the overall enjoyment or potential of the combat system. This is purely my opinion on the matter. -Damage builds are beginning to do 42k+ dps as a normality (when builds used to do ~35k dps). -Essential boons have made the balancing of the meta a nightmare in the last years, rewarding a passive playstyle rather than an active playstyle. A lot of support builds can sometimes feel same-ish -There are still many useless traits, skills and weapons, differing from class to class, with takes away from class fantasy and diversity of build. -Unique buffs are getting rarer and rarer. While passive stat increases as they existed were a problem, they could have reworked them (and the useless traits mentioned previously) to traits that play into the classes' mechanics, ANet decided to make passive boon pulses that are pretty mediocre. -There are classes that are now crossing mechanics, with no real distinguishing features. Necro and specter shrouds are basicly the same mechanic. Specter shroud could have given stealth and some boons when entering, with its duration being increased the more of the resource you had when entering, but just it feels like a suport based core necro shroud IMO. I'm not saying that specter isn't enjoyable, but that class fantasy feels like it it suffocating a bit. -Elite spec weapons are now usable on the other specs of the respective class. This change has had mostly good effects, if not losing another bit of elite spec identity. While it adds to the build diversity, it will make some weapons much more used, some weapons used relatively a same amount of times as other weapons and some weapons be used much less simply because the other weapon does .5-1k more dps. This change still needs time to play out properly -Relic system removed a lot of rune effects and the ones that remained are a mixed bag between good and super niche. Is it just me?
  2. If it's the normal commander, then WoL. But if it's a 1v1 between WoL and Aurene powered commander, then I think I would give it to the commander for superior speed, strength, abillities and tactics. For example, just fight him while WoL is being bombarded by the pact. WoL can make weapons out of light and launch them at the ships, but it has a big cast time and that's the perfect opening for the commander. I don't think it would even be a fair fight in that circumstance. But I haven't played through endwalker, so if anything crazy happened there, it would change things.
  3. all fixe now, and no i was using dx11 version. ty for help everyone
  4. Where should the dll for reshade be? I cant find the dxgi.dll for reshade anywhere
  5. Depends on what the studio decides. Personally, i don't see canach being the investor beacuse he has no real reason to keep it a secret from us. He could have easily told us at the party. And with the brand new letters of E and others being introduced with the return season 1, I would bet my money on E. Unless it was the "its lord faren cuz L+F=E" theory all along 🤯.
  6. At the end of EoD, we find out from marjory that the FDA (friends detective agency) is funded by a misterious investor. So after a few misteries solved, it's possible for this said investor to reveal himself as possibly E?
  7. We all have experiences like this. This is why characters are made to be sympathized/emphasized with. Gw2 has always had a recurring theme about hope. With all the tragedies that happened to the main protagonist and how they still kept getting back up. Judging from the current stage of the story, with the commander learning how to deal with entities that use your memories and deepest fears against you, it would make more sense if Aurene would be there for us. Some people forget that in IBS she was more wise and mature than in EoD, because she's an Elder Dragon, which comes with an understanding of the world that you never experienced before. Aurene is an integral part of gw2 and it would be really weird if these characters suddenly stopped interacting with each other. So as long as the writers handle it with care, I don't think you have anything to be afraid of in the near future. I do think they will write her out at some point if they want to raise the stakes again (because an ally elder dragon is op) by sending her to sleep and be able to concentrate on filtering magic that way but they still can make her telepathicly speak to us while being asleep, or something like that. I just hope they give her a satisfying ending for the characther and an satisfying imminent plot exit. Unless it means stomping kormir's face in the dirt with aurene powered god mode is off the table ofc.
  8. To me, it feels like the commander is the stoic leader that tries to do the right thing and stand strong against all odds, while inspiring others with their bravery, but struggling with doubt and loss so they try to keep a facade as long as possible. Therefore, no one really tries to check on the commander beacuse they think the commander is fine (most of the time). There are moments that indicate this: -Kasmeer crying next to the commander's corpse in PoF -Rytlock trusting them with Sohothin -Braham saying the commander and their group are a family. -In War Eternal: commander: "caithe and I will tend to Aurene. The rest of you... you should be with the ones you love" Taimi: "We are" -Many times in IBS when people check to see if the commander is doing fine with the whispers. -Braham transforming into wolf to save us etc. etc. Main point is, there are people that are clearly concerned about the commander. But if we're talking about the now, it's beacuse there are many new characters. Not many people like Yao and Rama have an insight in what the truly commander went trough, just the vague picture and they think the commander is doing good beacuse the commander trying to look fine while still sorting out their thoughts. "Was there a better outcome than this? Where could I have been better? How many people have died beacuse of my shortcomings?". But hey, that's just a theory. A GAME THEORY!
  9. I wouldn't say core legends are bad. The worst core legend would be ventari which has insane proj block but depends heavily on salvation gear and sinergy with other legends to be great. Mallyx has boon corrupt and great condi sinergy with all specs especially renegade, Dwarf has good self defense and stab, shiro has great offense and doging. They all synergize with more powerful legends making them accentuate eachother. They are better with a spec beacuse they benefit from the new traits that can argument them. That is unless we're talking about pvp, in which case its a whole different story of underpowered skills and energy cost, yes. About the jade winds. It's not that it costs energy and has a cast, it's about how little that benefits the player. Yes it has 3s stun, great. But I have no energy to use for my burst to benefit from said stun and the enemy has a breakstun. It should have reduced energy or do more damage to make it so that i can use my other legend to finish a smaller burst to compensate for it, also possibly make the stun 3+1/2 s to actually make it high risk high reward by making the enemy be incapacitated . The best way would be to make it cost less energy so that the player can bait a breakstun, before going into shiro and decimate them. Maybe make it have 35 energy and have increase by 5-10 secs or more. But im not an expert at pvp so all I've just said could be complete bollocks ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
  10. Since we're dealing with demons, can we have in the future a small line from Mallyx? Like trash-talking the demons or something else. "I will show you the true meaning of torment!" "You're dumb. You'll die, and you'll leave a dumb corpse" Please?🥺
  11. I think they were intending EM to be some extra endurance in case you needed a dodge, but it is absolutely useless since you already got almost perma vigor and scavanger burst. I really like the idea of it doing something with combining giving legend based effects, or there is something like it giving effects based on your dodge or an upkeep that gives you endurance for energy. Would have been cool to see maybe some unique modifier on it that you can share with allies but ANets current design choice wouldn't allow that.
  12. Every time i try to log in, it just crashes. I already tried deleting it from folder but when i log back in it just restarts the whole process.
  13. Basicly Rama and the commander want to go to Li to prove the PC (player character) is innocent and convince him to get us to Joon to have someone important to convince Joon to help us. So from what I understand, the commander is thought to be a criminal that possibly (allegedly) almost killed millions of people and he wants to stroll in a government's official office and convince him to take them to the inventor of the biggest thing since the invention of the wheel? Even if Li was absolutely convinced by them, the commander still needs to be under custody and be at their trial to prove their innocence there. "That...doesn't spell "plan" to me. That's just the letter "p." Scrawled on a rock. In pink chalk." -Taimi. Let's say Li thinks that the PC is innocent. He is absolutely still required by law to arrest them because they're a wanted criminal (from what he knows) that just tried to corrupt a government official to make him take them to the richest person in Cantha and the unlegitimate sister to the queen. Judging from the commander's alleged crime of almost blowing up the reactor this seems to make Li very justified to arrest the commander under conspiracy to murder and property damage because from what he knows he could have had a grudge against Joon, they would blow up the reactor and then would have planned to go after her next. Am I missing something?
  14. Thats the thing. The prophecy says that Braham won't sit around, but that he will go on the joruney of trying to kill jormag. And if Braham just decided to not go north, (if him going north isn't part of the prophecy) then prophecy would have found another way of him going back. Hey, maybe he didn't want to go until Bangar summoned us. Fate is wierd. Braham did try to control him although what he did was to use the spirits of the wild to guide him, not control him directly. Thats also the very reason why raven and snow leopard were there. To make Primordus manipulatable and fixed on Jormag. Primordus would eventually go after Jormag, they did this so he wouldn't burn innocent villages most likely. Bangar didn't have this. He only went in with pride and thinking he can do things like these easily with only his wits and without a plan. Also we ourselves manipulated dragons. Kralkatorrik when we baited him in the auditorrium is a good example. Braham got praised beacuse if he didn't do what he did, there would be a lot more dead(Jormag's frozen). And jormag would only get more powerful if Primordus wouldn't have woken up since he would be able to freeze more and more villages and cities, giving him the advantage and ruining the cycle. Also there are no mentions of braham going after innocents, only after Jormag hordes. Councilor Vark: Fire and ice forces are clashing with increasing frequency. The death toll is staggering. It will only get worse. If Braham wouldn't have woken up Primordus its pretty clear there would have been bad things that would happen. "But both Primordus and Jormag died at the end. Why couldn't Aurene handle it?" Beacuse Jormag would have lost his weakness if he killed Primordus and Aurene is shown't incapable of using other dragon magic types, only manipulate ley lines. Even if she tried to, most probably Primordus' energy would have gone south as well as we see in the finale. So yeah, Braham waking Primo up was beneficial. Also Wolf calling him "a norn of prophecy" can be interpeted in diferent ways. One of them is "a norn of prophecy" meaning that he could have said that he is a norn that is also of prophecy, instead of one of the multiple norn of prophecy.
  15. The test of might is about the norn who can crack the fang. The prophecy is about how the norn that cracked the fang will go on to either slay jormag of fall to jormag. Wolf Spirit: Now. You are all wondering why I've called for you. Braham Eirsson: He has a plan to stop Drakkar using the lost Spirits of the Wild. Braham Eirsson: Sorry, you probably wanted to say that. <Character name>: But Cloudseeker was certain— Wolf Spirit: The kodan ignore our voices. They cannot speak to Ox, Eagle, or Wolverine. But Braham can. Braham Eirsson: Why me? Wolf Spirit: You cracked the Fang of the Serpent. Fate now decrees you will either slay Jormag or fall to Jormag. [...] Wolf Spirit: You are a norn of prophecy, but you are not yet true norn. Any can wear the wolf, but only true norn can become the wolf. Braham Eirsson: You're saying if I do this, I'll be able to...become the wolf? Wolf Spirit: Take the lost Spirits' power. Use it against Drakkar. Only then will you find a place for my spirit within your own. Braham can piece out from this that he's the norn of prophecy. Also saying that it's a prediction is a bit wrong. It's a prophecy that says that the outcome is inevitable. One of them has to die. From what I understand it isn't about how one will win, it's about how they WILL go to conflict and one of them WILL die. Also Braham doesn't deal the final blow directly but he does make decisions which have major consequences . Braham awakens Primordus and he grows his power by atacking locations across tyria and fighting icebrood. Him awakening Primordus is the biggest thing here. He also does it intentionally to kill Jormag. It could be argued that Braham uses Primordus to kill jormag, like a using a hound to kill a deer.
  16. I don't really like the idea that the prophecy is fake. It doesn't sit right with me personally. But I agree, it would have been a nice touch to see the lost spirits have more corruption influences.
  17. You might as well wait for gta 6 while you're at it 😕 On a more serious note, I don't think we're going to see zojja any time soon if we're going to focus on plots in Cantha.
  18. If ox, eagle and wolverine just say and do things as jormag wants them, then why would they give braham their powers to slay drakkar and the commander their idols to be able to go in the citadel and try to prevent bangar from awakening jormag? Jormag themselves say that the prophecy is a fantasy in champions so that we would stop seeking the prophecy and join them. Wouldn't it be better for them just to say that trough the spirits if they have control over them? Owl whole thing is that she sealed herself off from anything and everything so that she wouldn't end up like the lost spirits of the wild (become a well of power for jormag). When braham released her, ryland in champions goes after her to corrupt her. Also owl DOES know about the prophecy. Champions Snowdren drift drm. Owl's final words are: "The wild together can direct the fall. You are the harness, norn of prophecy. Tell them" This tells us that she knows of the prophecy.
  19. Interesting, but there are some flaws in here. Jormag knows the prophecy, the spirits know it and the norn know it. If the spirits and shamans (all of them) decided to make a story about the norn of prophecy to keep the norn safe, then that would actually have the opposite effect, and it did. Norn would actively seek ways to grow their legends and go to war. Also, if thats the case, why do ox, eagle, wolverine and especially owl know about this whole prophecy? Let's say that the spirits could talk to ox, eagle and wolverine, if in a limited manner since their corrupted. Then what about owl? Every single one of them would think owl is dead. But owl knows the prophecy too and she doesn't know from jormag since she cut herself of from any connection possible and locked herself in the ice citadel without jormag knowing. But there IS something like you said. It's revealed that Aesgir personally spoke to jormag after their battle and was given 2 choices. Either continue and watch more norn die or get the tooth and lie to them and lead them south to a sanctuary. This is found in his personal journal.
  20. You make some interesting points. 1. Braham sensing destroyers is a bit ruffled, but if you think about it, it can be of 2 reasons: the scroll is drawing him to the destroyers, he is being guided by the literal prophecy (aka its more of a force that makes things happen, a self fufilling prophecy) or the blessings that the spirits gave him lead him to complete the prophecy. But the answer seems to be in either the first or the third. Most likely the first. But what is the scroll magic exactly? Well, we know that the jotun used the mystic telescope to foresee the elder dragons rise, so it would make sense that they would make weapons to defend themselves, like, a scroll with the power to hurt a dragon. It's possible that it was lost, but jormag or one of its minions found it and sent in way up north for it to be secured. But thats just a theory. So yes, in theory, if the jotun used some of primordus' magic and sealed it in a scroll, its entirely possible that this is why braham senses destroyers. 2. I like your interpretation of the bow as a symbol of eir's legacy and braham's mistakes. I would just like to add something else. Many people missed this, but in shadow in the ice, when you wake up in the EotN, Aurene says: Why Braham, you have hair again! Some would think it's a gag, but it's actually a representation of braham growing as a character. When eir dies, braham shaves his head. Him growing it back symbolizes that he's grown over the death of eir and him carying her legacy. 3. I really like the conclusion. Icebrood saga is a tragic story of loss, power, war and hope. Rytlock killing his son with the very blade he sought instead of his family but gaining the son he never had in braham, Ryland seeking to prove himself and eventually seeking purpose in jormag's power, only to lose everything in the end beacuse he was consumed by his desires and rage, contrasted with braham, who lost his mother, his bow, his guildmates, his honor, but still willing to sacrifice everything to save his friends, and being rewarded with life and a legend worthy of being sung for centuries. Ironic that Jormag manipulated each and every single one of us, like putting all the pawns in place, only for him to be a puppet of the prophecy. Icebrood saga has its flaws, but i think the good parts are some of the best story content we got for gw2.
  21. 1. I dont think he was a good villain either. 2. Primordus drove the asura and skritt from the underground, his destroyers battled the dwarves in the depths of tyria and murdured hundreds or thousands of innocent people in champions (we don't really know). Primordus didn't do anything really, he just caused destruction by... existing. Pretty anticlimactic. 3. Good point 4. Mordremoth used Traheane, Zojja and Logan as batteries for his soldier cloning machines, he wanted to spread his roots and destroy the pale tree and destroy those who stood in his way. His grudge was more about the suffocating the world, but he did have a grudge against the pale tree and dragon's watch. Kralkatorrik wanted to kill aurene at any cost, he also killed glint. We don't know what he thought of mortals though, but its probable that he wanted to continue the cycle (since he killed glint, who wanted to replace it) and thus killing mortals. Zaithan, Mordremoth and Jormag all wanted to corrupt to strenghten their armies. Zaithan just had to kill them to corrupt them. 5. Not really. Mordremoth made scarlet atack lion's arch to wake up. He also launched atacks on fort concordia, salma and the pact in the silverwastes. Kralkatorrik launched atacks on whereever aurene was. Primordus was chaotic, but he did launch atacks on rata sum, metrica province, ebonhawke and thunderhead keep beacuse they were strategic. Jormag's armies atacked DR, owl's shrine, tried to atack lions arch, and the flame citadel to stop primordus' forces from taking the region. Zaithan wasn't the only one with strategy.
  22. I dind't put him beacuse he is more of a force of nature than a character. Would have done the same for primordus but he's a fan fav and his actions had bigger consequences. Sorry
