I made a new character and went to the area where the 1st boss is, and many people and I were waiting for the dialogue and boss fight to start... but it didn't... I tried to report a bug and the Submit button was greyed out (all areas were filled in). I don't know what else to do except to report it here. There were around 8-10 others stuck in this instance/boss fight with me... I logged out and then back in and it was still the same issue and the same people stuck there. I was on my Lotus DeNoir.2576 account at the time.

I did this and chose only one game mode... but... I had to do all 3 game modes today. It was not something that I missed, I read everything, checked and unchecked the boxes and I was still faced with having to do something I did not want to do... So NO CHOICE AT ALL. I think the issue is that people have to choose today what they do tomorrow. This is stupid. You should be able to choose TODAY what you do TODAY!

I have a question, (relatively new player here)... How do you get Laurels now? You used to get laurels every so many days, but now? Laurels anyone?

That's exactly what I did... and guess what? I have to do all game modes to get my daily. I DID NOT choose all game modes, I chose only one. I presume that tomorrow I will have only one game mode to do, but why did ArenaNet decide that you choose today what you do tomorrow? Why not choose TODAY what you are going to do TODAY? Tomorrow I may feel like doing something else...

Didn't Cameron Rich leave ArenaNet this year? He was responsible for much of the design of GW2... He is now sorely missed... Well, it shows just how good he was. GW2 was a marvelous game that could have gone on for years, but now with this mess, I don't know how GW2 will survive this shemozzle without a LOT of backtracking... This is not coming from a veteran player, I haven't even played the game for a year yet. This is coming from a relatively new player that has enjoyed GW2, a lot... The way it was... But what they have done is downgrade GW2 to be just like other tedious and boring games... The premise of this new expansion had me excited, rifts opening up around the world, fighting demonic creatures, a wizards tower disappearing... all sounds good... until they messed with dailies. Less reward for more work... Who thought this was a good idea? Relics are a disaster, why weren't they explained properly before the release? A PTR (Public Test Realm) may have helped iron out all the issues before release. Instead of releasing first and iron out all the problems later... this just makes people angry and leave. I LOVED GW2 for being different than other games, not because it was the same as them... I don't want to be forced into content I don't want to do. How is this better ArenaNet?

Is that why I had PvP and WvW tasks to do in my dailies (I chose PvE)? Arenanet decided I would do all tasks today because it was my 1st time using the Wizards Vault? So tomorrow I will only have PvE tasks to do because I chose that today? This is stupid... it should be what you chose today is what you do today. Not to choose today what you do tomorrow. What if I decide tomorrow that I want to do something else? I am stuck with yesterday's choices. If I didn't understand what you meant... I am sorry.

From what I see, there are 4 things you need to do daily... One was to login to game, the next was to kill 10 enemies using something like honing tools... Then it gave me a PvP and a WvW task... BUT I did NOT choose PvP or WvW. I unchecked those boxes and kept the PvE box checked. Why are they making me do PvP and WvW dailies when I did not choose them? (You need to do them to complete your dailies.) This means I will NEVER be able to complete my dailies or weeklies because I don't do PvP or WvW and have never done them. Why are they forcing this onto people who don't want to do them?

I chose PvE in the Wizards Vault, ticked the box and unticked PvP and WvW... ...BUT... I have to do PvP and WvW in my dailies... Is this a bug? Why do I have to do these things when I didn't choose them? Did I do something wrong? Looks like I won't be completing my dailies or my weeklies. I am angry

I bought an adoption license... I was very disappointed when I adopted a griffon. I don't have griffon's unlocked. I was VERY DISSAPOINTED. I like your idea.

I find it easy to come up with names... if a name isn't available, I try a different spelling of that name and I usually get what I want that way. EG: I wanted Jinx as a name, it was taken (of course), so I spelled it like this... J I N X X X... It was available. All capital letters with a space in-between, it worked. I have seen names like 'Bean' spelled Beene, Been, Beane. Just try different spellings, it works and most people understand the incorrect spelling and are even amused at your wit. Maybe you could... Pick a Theme... What is your character's profession/role? What do you want your character to look like? Choose a name that suits your theme. Pop Culture... is always a good place to go to for names. Mythology... There are great names in mythology. Like Hercules, you could try spelling the name like this... Herk Youlees Make a name up... I took 2 words and made the name... Heartsfear (it wasn't taken so I took it. She is a warrior). Just get creative. There are some fun names out there.

I have arachnophobia (I live in Australia with many spiders) and I have absolutely NO problem with a wall-crawling spider. If the mount could be a lizard or a cute fluffy squirrel (through a skin)then I would do ANYTHING to get this mount. I don't think it would be game-breaking, or negate the reason for other mounts especially if future expansions had a vertical, dungeon/cave crawling experience. (I also have a phobia of caves... lol) But I would play it... I think it is a super idea and ArenaNet should consider it again... after all, we are all adults and we could use the game as some kind of therapy against our phobias. 😁

I have 2 GW2 accounts, one just ArenaNet, the other through Steam. This was a mistake on my behalf, I didn't realize I already had an ArenaNet account (made many years ago) and then made an account through Steam. I can't remember why I didn't play GW2 before, something to do with the game not installing and me giving up in frustration. Anyways... I have noticed a HUGE difference in cost between GW2 through ArenaNet and GW2 through Steam. EG... ArenaNet... $10 crystals are around $10... $20 crystals are around $20, etc Steam... $10 crystals are around $15... $20 crystals are around $30, etc (I am in Australia and the cost may be something to do with my region, different regions may have a lesser or greater cost... yet ArenaNet doesn't have this cost difference) The price of expansions has the same discrepancies in price. Steam will cost one and a half of the cost than ArenaNet. It costs more to pay for anything through Steam. I think this may be why the poster of this thread is making their statement... you are punished if you play GW2 through Steam with the cost of EVERYTHING. Everything costs MORE and this is a punishment just because you are using Steam. (You cant buy directly through ArenaNet if you are playing through Steam... not that I know of) You are stuck with paying more, with no escape... This includes any in-game purchase you make, it goes directly to Steam (no choice). I 'personally' wouldn't go through Steam for GW2... I am saying this with experience.

We will get a 'Birthday Cake'... gives extra stamina and regeneration, (not the feast of delectable birthday cake), and a 'Bowl of Sweet and Spicy Butternut Squash Soup'... gives ferocity and power... for each toon you have. OK... I made the birthday cake up, but the soup is real.

HAIR... Hair clipping through armor and weapons is SO bad. I wish they could fix it. There have been many times that I have had to change hairstyles because of clipping. I have learned the hard way which hairstyles to stop using because of this... which is sad as the styles are good ( the reason I chose them in the first place). I really don't think they will do anything about it now. Too much of a headache.
