  1. Thank you all for the clarity. I really appreciate all of you giving your experience on these weapon sets.
  2. Yes this was more for strikes and fractals.
  3. Hello, thank you I was confused because Hammer does indeed have reflect (which in most cases seems better than block) and I knew that hammer can create blasts in fields but I was having trouble seeing blast in shield. I appreciate feedback but I would like to hear more people on the subject. I will have to look at the cooldowns to see if shield has a quicker cooldown then hammer and if so that could make more sense. I will try to see how blast is done with pistol / shield
  4. I see on several builds Quick Heal Scrapper is pistol and shield, I am just curious what advantage it gives over Hammer? I apologize just new to engineer and wanting to understand the weapon choice advantage and drawback.
  5. Wouldn't suggest Mech because to get your mech damage you have to deal with F keys.
  6. I am not what you would consider an experienced player. I have only been playing since October of last year so about 5 months into the game. I use them primarily to change stats on ascended and a few other minor purchases. I can only say I have them in abundance. I have over 1,500 and it's just been from playing the game. I am in no form or fashion trying to collect them. You get one every time you go through a level once you reach 80 and honestly going through the story, doing events, completing maps, doing fractals, dungeons, strikes for me it appears spirit shards rain from the sky. I am guessing in the future I will need them for other purposes but I can't say acquiring spirit shards is a problem.
  7. Nevermind just found that the mech still gains from your concentration sorry to have filled up the forum with something I could have found elsewhere.
  8. Hello Fellow Engineers, Some quick questions as I was going to start working on creating ascended gear for both PaM and HaM but then this latest development occurred and I am confused about it. If our Mech is the source of the buffs that are spread to the party (for instance Alac) and no longer considers our gear, does concentration from our gear affect the buffs being generated by our Mech? Has anyone noticed a change or are the buffs staying on as long as they were previously? Just trying to understand if stacking concentration is as critical or not?
  9. Hello, I hate that you had such poor luck with the boxes. I am not sure if you were trying to get the Koi weapon skins, but there was apparently an issue where they were listed in the boxes but actually they are not obtained through the boxes. In this case if that was what you were attempting to get you may have a leg to stand on in regards to a refund.
  10. Power Scrapper you can use a Berserker Hammer as well. Power Scrapper is good too. However always have a Berserker rifle on your Power Scrapper if you know you are going to be in a place where you need to be at range as well.
  11. As stated, Daredevil power build doesn't have invis. The only thing you are talking about is the Steal function which is supposed to be a quick action. You aren't turning invisible you are simply making a very quick dash to grab something off the target. Again. I gave power Daredevil which is more based on monk movements than magic. Nit pick away.
  12. Daredevil power thief uses very physical non magic more realistic (almost monk like) battle systems. There isn't any magic like aspects and even little to any stealth involved. Engineer uses potions quite often but that's because it's an aspect of alchemic not magic. Again I wouldn't call it magic.
  13. I have played fishing in several games. Honestly there are only a few different ways to do it and still keep in a way that many people can play it and enjoy it. The idea is not to make it a hard way to play but rather a rather relaxing way. Stardew wasn't the first to do it but so many non MMO players as well as MMO players and got to enjoy fishing there so they feel that Stardew was the one that all games feel they need to copy. Simply they were adding fishing because other MMO's had it and it was probably something they overlooked and it helps keep gamers playing and staying in the game. Meaning when you have done all the things in the game so you aren't sure what to do... FISH! It allows you to talk to guildes while still doing stuff. I have fished in almost any game I have played so I can say it wasn't simply a copy. Almost all fishing in MMO's and even games where fishing isn't the main aspect all feel similar in nature.
  14. Stardew Valley wasn't the first to have fishing and won't be the last. Showing my age but UO had fishing in it and it was a very popular aspect of the game and so many games added it to their mix. Not even saying UO was the first but they had it before WoW was created. A bunch of players find the mini game of Fishing to be relaxing and usually it can be fairly profitable.
