Dead game. 8 months since SOTO. I only finished what there is of it with 2 chars because it is so dreadful. Now they only run the same handful of events every year that weren't even worth doing the first time.

I hated kryptis rifts from the start. I didn't know that this is all there would be in the game from now on. There isn't one when you need it, or you get there when it's over. They are boring and tedious. You would have to farm them FOREVER to get anything worthwhile. Now it's in the Wizard Vault every day. I log into this game for the 10 achievement points in the Wizard Vault and move on to another game. I remember someone saying we got screwed by paying for the SOTO expansion and they were right.

I'm pretty bugged about this whole SOTO thing. You end up someplace where everyone disrespects you. They won't use the name you go by and just call you Wayfinder which doesn't mean anything. I feel no connection to the characters because they just complain about their problems with the other characters. This isn't really a plot. In this last "expansion" you are merely a "helper" to the real characters. They always want your help, but never quite seem satisfied with what you do. All the fights are like the kryptis rifts. I was having trouble staying awake because I was so bored. Then it takes kind of a grim turn at the end. Now we have to wait however many months for more. Nothing really happens, so it is just a matter of who all dies before the end .

I've been playing this game nearly every day for the last few years. Seems like the last update has made starting the game and switching maps much slower. I had a crash to desktop while starting the game this morning. Just now I tried to get a PVP match and the game lost connection to the server. Then, of course, I got locked out of PVP. Not making any threats, but this isn't acceptable. I lose connection to the server at some point nearly every day.

In the past week, I've always been on the team that is outnumbered. We have taken SMC once that I have seen for about 2 hours. Run and die, over and over. I don't like how the waypoints are always contested. I am sick of running halfway across the map every few minutes. This isn't fun. Why aren't there more waypoints? Seems like balancing would mean you get to be on different teams so that you could win some of the time. I was also told that it matters what time of day/night you are playing. I don't have a choice as to when I can play as I have a real life. This doesn't sound like balancing at all.

I stopped playing on 2/15/23 as I wasn't having any fun. I started playing in 2016 and quit after 2 weeks. I bought POF/HOT when it was $15 at the end of 2021. There was a lot of content, so I played for a year. I think some of the classes are unplayable. I did as many achievements as I could stand. There is so much repetition with the same characters all the time. So much of the story is depressing with good characters dying. I tried PVP and WVW and think they are way too repetitious. I was hoping the 2/28/23 chapter would bring more content. It was exactly one map with the worst of Drizzlewood Coast and Dragon's Stand in it. It only took one day to finish the chapter. I am totally sick of Gorrik and Taimi's whining, yelling, and crying. So now I'm logging in every day for the dailies and waiting for the next event. Otherwise, I've moved on to other games.

I want a story WITHOUT Gorrik and Taimi yelling at me all the time.

I was having problems with the game refusing to start, maps kept saying they needed to load, and slow map loading. This seems to have fixed everything: Remove Local.Dat file (This will reset your ingame Graphics settings, all other settings will remain, so no worry about keybinds lost or so) The file is C:\Users\Your Username\AppData\Roaming\Guild Wars 2\local.dat

Same problem. Tried with two characters. So, S1E5 is a whole lot of nothing after all the hype. UPDATE: Went back 11/9/22. Finished the marionette fight. It was a stupid and boring fight.
