  1. Past two nights I've had two different core rangers Teleporting across the map at will to decap and just ruin matches not even in ranked. Anyone else seeing a big uptick of this crap?
  2. Honestly the worst part of Flurry to me isn't even the rooting. It's the weird halfsecond startup upon casting it.
  3. Support Spell Breaker for me is a lot of fun despite there being much better options for the role. I honestly just love any excuse to use a warhorn. Here's hoping we get more more ways to be supportive on warrior in future patches cause being locked in as a sidenoder in almost every build on warrior gets old quick.
  4. Not a unique build by any means but been having solid results with this so far. Build: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PKwAMx/lNwWYNsQmJeOX9tVA-zZwKkEqgITgeDBHGAA This build is mainly for team fights and holding mid, but you can outduel and hold nodes vs quite a few specs with this . I wouldn't advise roaming a lot due to the low movement speed beyond our two leap skills. Strong vs All warrior specs, All Mesmer specs, Most Ranger specs, And most Engi Specs Okay vs thieves (cept for DE), Revenants, Guardians Weak vs Necro's high hp pool, and eles with projectile reflect. Swap out the rabid amulet for a carrion if you expect to fight more condi focused builds. Give it a shot I promise it's better than you think.
  5. This seems like more of a hybrid build since its using zerker spec and main dmg from mace/sword would come from torment, bleeding, and confusion. Wouldn't a Grieving amulet work a bit better in this case? I haven't had a chance to test but was curious as why you chose a berserker amulet for this beyond the greatsword dmg.
  6. Here's a simple warrior build that will provide a lot of healing each time you crit or give youself might. http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PKwAEdflJwuYYMPWJOWTuLPA-zRIYRUxHCqDAA-e You can swap out the offhand axe for a shield if you find you need more defense. As you get more confident and comfortable you'll be able to swap up the utility skills to more damage focused ones. I'd suggest picking up a full set of Devona's gear from the market board as it is a very cheap low cost exotic set that comes with strength runes. This build should be enough to solo most things as a core warrior.
  7. Agreed. Warrior desperately needs additional condis to apply.
  8. The lack of good ranged weapon options for warrior and a plethora of teleports on other classes really sucks especially on maps that feature high ground (insert obi-wan Joke here). Our gap closers are all really buggy, slow/telegraphed, and targeted leaps have terrible range and feature no way to move vertically this makes chasing down targets very difficult for our class. All this combined means we get screwed whenever there is a fight taking place near any kind node that features high ground with a valid pathway for teleports. Rather then restricting other classes teleports to only being able to move on the X/Y axis like Warriors leaps, I figure warrior should be able to leap vertically along the Z axis with the following moves as long as there is a valid path like teleports are restricted to. -Earth Shaker (Hammer Burst) -Rupturing Smash (Primal Hammer Burst) -Sundering Leap (Berserker utility skill) -Seismic Leap (Rampage's leap) -Stomp (This one's kinda iffy since it's a stun break but I figure they could rework it to function like Seismic Leap but with a smaller AoE to compensate) This would be a nice way to buff all warrior specs without having to actually adjust any damage numbers. Outside of lack of stealth and weak ranged options this is Warrior's primary weakness in my eyes.
  9. I really wish Daring dragon was more viable in both pvp and pve. It's a lot of fun to use but it's just all around a worse choice then UD. I really wish they'd have a way for BSW to spec into condition damage for some better build variety.
  10. Yeah honestly the biggest downfall to mace besides the slow attack speed is the lack of any meaningful dps on it. Even with the 20% extra dmg trait it barely tickles and is only based around CC.
  11. Thanks for that. Looking at those insane utilities I can definitely see why warrior can't really do anything to it outside of maybe spellbreaker ripping boons. I'm guessing necromancer does pretty well vs it?
  12. I noticed in the past two weeks there's been way more scrappers in queue. Might be just me but I was curious what seemed to spark this? I'm happy to have some more diversity in sPvP but, man I find the build really annoying as a warrior main since I can't really lock them down due to what feels like constant stab and super speed plus they just seem pretty tanky with quite a bit of damage. I haven't played Engi before so It's probably just my lack of knowledge on how the class works and the matchup in general. I also can't seem to find the build anywhere that seems to be the most prevalent. Gameplay wise it seems like they just coast around throwing grenades that chunk you down and or they burst you from stealth out of nowhere. I take it that it's probably good vs power builds although I haven't tried bringing Condi's against it. Then again warrior condi builds aren't exactly great anyway (excluding SPB bunker which may be dead after today anyway). I'd appreciate any tips or a link to the build, otherwise feel free to have a laugh. Cheers! Enjoy the new patch for better or worse!
  13. Yeah but, you can't take that in PvP it doesn't exist there as far as I'm aware.
  14. Sorry I'm late in getting back to you but my character is Human and the issue was in the Human's Salma district in Divnity's Reach.
  15. Your right that'd be too good for it to be a warrior skill. Instead after it's thrown we lose access to our entire mace kit until we walk over and pick it up with as clunky of any animation as impale's rip function.
  16. I don't disagree completely but that's what torch 5, brawlers recovery, and sigil of cleansing is for.
  17. Can we just throw the mace at their head at 600 range and rename it to Skull Thwack.
  18. Rookie numbers lets boost that. Rune of the Weaver for extra barrier on every stance skill + Sage amulet.
  19. Curious to see what kind of builds you guys plan on testing out with the release of the most recent patch preview. I know things are subject to change prior to the 14th but I always enjoy theory crafting. Here's a PvP build that I plan on testing out. Feel free to kitten on as you please, but please also suggest things to improve or post your own builds as well. We do a lot of doom and gloom here but might as well try to see what we can come up with. Hybrid Roaming Stance Zerk (S/T & M/Sh): http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PKABw+l7lNwaYVsQmJeuW+tdA-z54eKRKB6VIkwCIkRgbHAA Signet of Stamina and stances for barrier and vigor spam which chain well with rune of the mirage for easy consistent application of torment. Sinister rune for hybrid dmg but popping berserk will provide us with extra toughness, stab and dmg immunity for better sustain. Double this effect with eternal champion. Personally I still think SPB will still be the meta pick just due to the nature of Full Counter and it's synergy, but I hope to see more variety in warrior specs picked in ranked.
  20. I was able to resolve this issue by talking to Ridhais in the Dreamer's Terrace (sylvari home instance) instead of the Salma District (Human home instance). For some reason the Dreamer's Terrace version of her was able to let me exchange it without issue.
  21. I have it in my inventory along with the required volatile magic. It shows up in the shop menu to exchange it and it then tells me that "I cannot Afford that" when I try to exchange it for a regrown caladbolg. I do have the Knight of the thorn title as well so shouldn't be any issues that I'm aware of. I've included a screencap of the issue below. https://imgur.com/a/X177WJG Please help me resolve this. This has been resolved see my post below this one!
  22. Build link: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?PKwEcEWosBWFDjFyKxi25KWC-zZILjGLgMTANGAA Disclaimer: I don't think this would work well in ranked but it is a fun build nonetheless. I also wouldn't play it as a duelist since BSW is very predictable. It's better off as a roamer. Good for roaming and team fights and can stall on point 1v3 for decent amount of time to buy your team time to regroup or move around the map. Build Summary: Features very high sustain and solid burst that will give out a lot of vulnerability stacks for your follow up hits and teammates to clean up the fight. Sources of Sustain: Barrier Call of Valor, Defiant stance , Endure Pain, Defy Pain from Signet of Rage, and each final ammo skill cast with the Unshakeable Mountain trait. Vigor All stances grant vigor, Call of Valor, Signet of stamina for +50% base endurance regen and 25% instant endurance with condi cleanse, Sigil of Energy Invulnerability Defiant Stance, Endure Pain, Defy Pain from Signet of Rage Damage: Build up some adrenaline then use Dragon Trigger. Obviously the Higher the charge the better but, only do so if you have the time and opportunity for it. I'd recommend just using instant cast as either way it will apply 10 vulnerability stacks on hit. Follow up on your hit by spamming Artillery slash for some chonky splash dmg or swap to axe for a quick burst with Cyclone axe followed by throw axe for some spicy 6k crits. Get out there and have fun!
  23. Between this and the arms build posted a few weeks ago. It's been fun to hop into the middle of team fights and just break them up entirely. Zerk is always a good time.
  24. Nice write up. Hope they take it into consideration. Though it's not ideal by any means. You can in fact aim dragon slashes and turn by using the action camera. I personally hate using action camera in this game but will ocassionally toggle it on to use this when there is no available target to lock on. My fix for this would be to let it just aim to wherever our mouse is currently facing like Greatsword's Whirlwind attack. otherwise just let us spin around with it while holding right click.
  25. Honestly my least favorite facet of BSW is that the gunblade is a weapon you can't avoid taking. I don't dislike the gunblade itself. What I dislike is that it pigeonholes the spec entirely. My favorite thing about the other warrior specs is that you can build them from the ground up by your weapon choices and stat choices. With BSW you are forced to be a power build and your second weapon choice feels constrained to make up for what you lack by being forced to take the gunblade in your first slot. Might be a hot take, but for me personally, the gunblade is honestly the best feeling ranged weapon on warriors kit which is kind of hysterical to say. I'd love to be able to build the gunblade around condition damage, which would allow for a lot of customization to the spec. As it is now you have the least freedom of any of the warrior specs. I think traitlines for BSW should be reworked to enable the option between a power and condition build. The ability to customize your characters playstyle has been the biggest selling point of both GW1 and GW2 for me and it feels mostly abandoned on this spec. Despite the jankiness of the specs gameplay, the lack of meaningful choice when building it is the part I dislike the most.
