Yeah except ele, which is pretty much immune to dying with scepter doing all of your hp 50 times in one second.

Started playing against Scepter Catas recently on necro, there is absolutely nothing you can do against them but die. They are immune/blocking over 60%+ of the time, they can't be statused, they can't be cc'd, they can't die, they can't lose any 1v1 regardless of the low skill ceiling. I was always a tempest and trying out other classes, this is the most ridiculous pile of garbage I have ever dealt with in any game.

This is literally not an argument, this needs to be stopped.

As an ele, I don't feel all builds are OP with earth shield, but...

I mean, Scepter is really the huge problem imo. Since the devs are clearly talentless, it appears that buffing certain builds for no reason at all gives them some weird sort of satisfaction

I have no idea how you're supposed to deal with them, they are basically immune to dying and cannot be stopped under any circumstances. The only way I see them die is to a lot of condi, but even then they seem to always win any engagement.

Since coming back and not having played since EoD, I have now noticed that a lot of CC spam, particularly immobilize, are pretty much the entire strategy teams are running. They have someone like a necro or root ranger just permanently CCing a target at a time that cannot be stopped, cleansed, removed or anything of that nature. As a Tempest main, I am not used to being rooted for the entire game and locked down. Immobilize seems to be the new stun mechanic. I know we are supposed to play as a team and I am not really looking for advice, I am just sort of wondering if anyone else has noticed these changes? What I notice in PVP games in particular is the addition of more and more CCs as games progress until you essentially don't even want to play because you're CC'd so long. This is definitely a MUCH better game than wow, because you can clutch stuff out sometimes, but... really starting to get bloated on the CC.
