It would be great if skyscales and their dust-billowing effect got the siege turtle visual treatment as a graphics option. -
Mabon and Janthir Wilds

He can come back as a revenant legend. His gimmick would be to have fractal instabilities as utility skills and some form of blink/stealth/blur on the f-skill. -
A lot of the activities in GW2 are not gameplay

Champion Jade Armor (Defeat the Jade Construct)
Funky.4861 replied to Malus.2184's topic in Janthir Wilds Discussion
I'm not sure on the scaling, but it's been impossible every time a few of us have tried it. Between the adds and the ether towers there is a lot going on. I'm wondering if it needs a minimum number of players, like 10 or 15. -
By removing the obvious troll selections (charr and human female) we see that the true master race is Sylvari.

Precursor Crafting is a Huge Noob Trap Right Now

I'm surprised that no-one has mentioned the impact for the current festival on material prices. This whole month, and likely the next, is a terrible time to craft a legendary if you don't have the mats stored or the funds to buy them. -

@op: NO, NO TO ALL! -
It amuses me how people fixate on 'reveal' as the counter to stealth when the REAL COUNTER is aoe skills. Besides, not every class and spec has to hard-counter stealth because not every class has the same level of access to it. If you're fighting a thief and they stealth they will do one of two things: a) run away to reset and possibly re-engage b) set up a backstab/deaths judgment etc. What are your options? Hang around in the open like a moron or find some cover maybe? How about going on your merry way knowing that they might return and that your skills will also have come off cooldown? Just because you're fighting a thief and they stealth doesn't mean it's the end of the world or that you've automatically lost/you're going to die in a few secs- use your brain!

Not your average "New Races" post.

They all sound terrible imo, especially the 'elves' replacing sylvari. Let's not have genocide in Tyria. -
They can put fulgo on every skill in every attunement for all i care as long as players can stealth through it. The counterplay to stealth is aoe's and (more rarely) revealed. Stealth is a thiefs' active defence mechanism, much like guardians aegis/blocks, necro shroud, mesmer clones etc etc. If you take away their stealth, what defences do they have left? If they spec for mobility/evades they won't be killing anyone soon and can be largely ignored. Let the thieves have their stealth and learn to counter it, unless you want to strip away active defence from every class?

Those skills just reveal the thief- they don't put a massive target over his head for everyone to see and aim at. It's much easier for the thief to hide their hitbox/LoS when revealed vs trying to hide a cloud over their head. It doesn't matter if they have access to stealth skills and traits when there is a marker revealing their position. It also doesn't matter if you can target them or not- just aim at the cloud and you will hit them. In a boonblob this is also just more visual clutter, as well as showing everyone where the thief is peeling off to.

It Feels Like Spears Were Designed For PvP Only
Funky.4861 replied to Echostorm.9143's topic in Professions
My experience with warrior spear was that it was a confusing mess of gap-creator yet punishment for being at range whilst having range on every skill. I found the #5 skill really clunky and the skills lacked synergy, unless you stuck to melee and actively avoided any kind of ranged combat. It was also visually dull and didn't feel like a fun/satisfying weapon to use (due to the range mechanics).
