  1. It's open season on Micky Mouse- Disney doesn't have the copyright anymore.
  2. I would love a spider mount; the hairier and spikier the better!
  3. Don't forget there is the April Fools' event to do knaebelag with the elixir which might temporarily increase ppl doing that event over Heitors' Gate.
  4. I could see gw3 working as a mobile game or arpg along the lines of baldurs' gate 3, but as another mmo continuing from gw2- not so much. It would split the playerbase and i don't think gw3 has enough oomph to contest any of the other main titles, meaning it would be dead on arrival ala wildstar.
  5. Bear in mind that you can get several items from bloodstone fen which you can select and change the stats on quite cheaply, assuming that you have heart of thorns and path of fire expacs https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Blood_Ruby_Band https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Blood_Ruby_Pendant https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Blood_Ruby_Pendant. You can change the stats using a https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Bloodstone_Capacitor.
  6. I'm not really using any of them, apart from pistols on guard to learn the new quickness rotation. I've tinkered with most of them but they feel a bit gimmicky. E.G did engineer NEED another grenade launcher? I like the mobility on necro swords, but they feel a bit undertuned. I'm aware of the benchmarks but in terms of gameplay i don't think anything has really changed.
  7. I like the idea of rebooting rarely-used content. Perhaps if you kept your land-based elite spec at all times above water and that flipped to an underwater-only elite spec when under the surface that would alleviate concerns of losing your normal spec for most content. Seeing as most classes have two underwater weapons already, it would only be fair to give the remaining classes a second underwater weapon too. Something which could be handy to address the third axis every class would get a themed sonar to alert us to the distance and height of nearby enemies. Something like a reskinned Heart of the Obscure which we could ping at will; enemies around our level would appear as red dots, turning green if above and blue if beneath. Enemies that we've aggro'd would be on the sonar until we kill them or run out of aggro range (so we would know whether to go up, down, or just away from them).
  8. You've got a really warped way of looking at this Fueki. You might as well say "Tell me you hate meta events without telling me you hate meta events. I'll go first." If meta events scale down so that a squad of 10 or a party of 5 can do them, they are not metas at that point and might as well be instanced content. If a player is in the middle of an event which gets cancelled due to a meta starting they can join the meta or do something else on the map for the 5-10-ish minutes it takes for the meta to complete. Or they can get off their behind and make a cup of tea. The only point of sympathy you'll get from me is maps closing (due to depopulation after a meta) when parties have maxxed-out their fishing bonus. Even then, metas are on a timer so everyone knows it's coming and can act accordingly. You're obviously allowed to feel angry and annoyed at having the rug pulled-out from under you when you're just minding your own business doing events, but the whole game is designed this way and has been since it was released; i doubt this is going to change. For me, it's more annoying that the Orrian temple events were thrown to the wind when megaservers came online. Now you just have to linger on that map ip and wait (sometimes over an hour) for it to respawn. Not that i love doing the temple events; rather that they are required for parts of various collections.
  9. I'm sorry you feel this way Fueki but you're simply incorrect. If a meta is so unrewarding/boring/whatever that few people try it, it will fail, and that's okay. It's up to the playerbase to succeed at meta events- just look at the revamped Tequatl for example, which took a few days to figure out the new mechanics. The game doesn't tell the player anything other than a meta event is starting- it's up to the player whether they want to join in or not. Most players know that meta events happen periodically on most maps so it shouldn't come as a surprise or disappointment that some other events will stop. If you're so triggered that your play-how-i-want entitlement is offended by a meta event, that's on you. Scaling-down metas for lower player numbers goes against the premise of a meta event and the concept of an MMO. The fact that some metas DO scale down to be doable with 10 players says a lot to how much anet want people to participate- IF those players know what they need to do.
  10. I totally disagree with you on this point. Why bother having an event that needs a large number of players (read: brings players together for a common goal) if you're just going to scale it down to raid squad size? It's an MMO, after all. Also, it doesn't tell players to get off the map- it tells them to join in. If you want to leave the map that's up to you, but GW2 is built on co-operation, not isolation.
  11. The purpose of this is to encourage players to do the meta event, which is usually themed to be an event so important that it demands lots of players to succeed. If players are off on their own side-quest when the meta is warming-up, there is a notification that the meta event is starting, which should tell them to hurry-up with whatever they are currently doing. Fishing is like this, only softer, as you are still able to fish.
  12. Initiative is fine as it is. You have the choice of blowing it all and autoattacking or learning to pace yourself and use skills/traits that generate initiative. If you add cooldowns to weapon skills, you basically have another revenant with more choice of utilities.
  13. I don't think you really want sliding OP. We already have it and it's not fun- just find any icy surface (shiverpeaks pass strike, bitterfrost frontier, SAB zone 2) and you'll see what i mean.
  14. It sounds like OP wants skiing. The only problem with that is that griffon already does this. As for pvp maps, i think they're too small (and i don't even know if you can glide in them anyway).
  15. It's definitely de-prioritised the maps for me personally, and i assume a few others. I can't comment on map populations as i'm not there (!) and it's good to know that the lege trinket and other collections (looking at you, ambrite weapons!) are carrying the maps. I still like Bloodstone Fen, for example (the gliding skills are fun) but i guess it's not relevant to what i'm currently working on.
  16. Remember when the daily was: mine 10 ore in the heart of maguuma, or gather 10 plants in ascalon etc? I haven't been back to that strawberry patch in diessa plateau, or any specific map since that change. I do my daily LLA, chak gerent, tarir, dragonstand, then maybe strikes or whatever the dailies are for pve and finish-off with progressing my next legendary/aurene variant or pushing another char through the story to get to inner nayos.
  17. @Raskol.3014 And what do you think would happen to Bitterfrost Frontier if you don't need winterberries for anything? The reason for items needing map-specific currency is to populate the map.
  18. I haven't been to dry top since Soto released. The change to gathering locations (ie: their removal) has basically killed dry top, silverwastes and pretty much every LS map. I have unbound and volatile magic in the hundreds of thousands and multiple stacks of every LS 'currency' in my material storage (ie: winterberries, fire orchids, bloodstone shards, mistonium etc); all from home instance nodes. The only slight incentive i have to go to any of them is for the dailies, but that is not motivation enough.
  19. Lots of things clip needlessly. If you're concerned about screenshots, use an image manipulator to get rid of it.
  20. How about this for a radical take: The aegis is part of roleplaying the character.
  21. I do the 'motivational' heart in thunderhead peaks. Very quick and little effort.
  22. This is true. My preferred method of acquisition is destroying ascended gear, as the idea of buying/crafting thousands of potions is repulsive.
  23. The crafting recipe requires research notes, which i absolutely hate acquiring as they are the most "feels bad" material in the game. Yes- worse than eyes of kormir and exotic putrid essence.
