  1. The JP isn’t required for map completion.
  2. Impossible you say and yet you managed to do just that. There's a difference between comparing the challenge added within a game mode and comparing the challenge between two game modes. My posts were about the latter while you're countering them about the former. My first statement where I stated "I’d personally prefer to do raids over strike CMs" was simply me stated my personal preference. My next post was "I don’t have much faith based on how they’ve done CMs in the game. I don’t see strike CMs reaching the level of raids" which was in response to a person as they, as wells as others including you, were stating that strike CMs would be as challenging as raids or even raid CMs. It's fairly easy to prove to a high degree that it is unlikely. It's as simple as comparing strikes as they are to raids as they are. A CM would have to almost completely redesign the entire fight in order to make it comparable to the average raid level. If you look back at what they have done with previous CMs, you'll see that none of them come remotely close to doing something of that scale.
  3. Please don't twist what I had said. I did not say that CMs did not offer additional challenge towards there respective game modes. What I said was that strike CMs would unlikely be on par with what players would expect from doing raids. Sure, if the strike CMs were at the level of challenge of those raid CMs. What's you're neglecting to take into account are the differences between the design of strike encounters versus raids. They'd have to completely redesign the entire fight for the strike CM which would be highly unlikely.
  4. As I had said, look at how they’ve done other CMs and how strikes are designed compared to raids.
  5. I cannot list where I found them as that would be against Anet’s naming and shaming rule for some reason. As for whether they are AFK, you can not know 100% but it’s very likely that they are if they have been on a map farming nonstop for days. A couple months ago I tracked over a dozen and they were farming on the map without breaks for at least three days. Players also make an effort to save themselves if they’re being attacked by something that is killing them. I’ve personally stood by as a bounty spawned, proceeded to kill them, and they just stood there doing nothing. They then stay there dead until they get kicked out of the game from the inactivity timer. I stopped caring months ago after I realized that this just isn’t something that’s actually enforced and the penalties for if someone does get caught is so minor that it’s not a real deterrent.
  6. I don’t have much faith based on how they’ve done CMs in the game. I don’t see strike CMs reaching the level of raids.
  7. I’d personally prefer to do raids over strike CMs.
  8. I can’t think of anything in this game where you would need someone to taxi you which would make the mount useful. With the speed and functionality it’ll likely have, I see it as nothing more of a gimmick mount in order to have a feature to sell the expansion.
  9. Follow the instructions from the page where you got the code.
  10. If housing were added, I seriously doubt players would have the ability to build the actual houses.
  11. I personally hold them on the same level. While their methodology may differ slightly, everything else remains the same.
  12. You should research more into the AFK farmers. They use necros primarily and build the character to be pretty much impossible to kill in the area that they farm.
  13. You can stay in game indefinitely if your minions are attacking enemies to reset the inactivity timer. Being AFK doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re using a program to stay in game.
  14. Here’s what will happen if housing were added: The majority would check it out with a significant smaller number actually doing anything with it. The cost of furniture, decorations, and so on would be expensive (other than for basic versions) and price out a lot of players. Practically all new things to add to your home instance after housing were released would come out of the gem store just like everything else in the game.
  15. There’s demand for practically everything that’s requested. And? GW2 isn’t a traditional MMO so why should it try to replicate those? There’s more to it than that and you could argue that there are resources already there for a lot of what players want. It’ll create a space like guild halls did? /s And I’m sure those that want Tengu as a playable race could say the same thing about housing. We’re not entitled to business/design decision explanations made by Anet.
  16. While patterns may be tracked in other games, they’re not in GW2. I tracked a group of players on a certain map for slightly over three days who consistently farmed nonstop. While it’s humanly possible that they were actually playing the entire time, it’s unlikely. They also farm at a spot where a bounty can get to them so those doing the bounty for the daily can inadvertently kill the alleged AFK farmers. Those farmers make no effort to save themselves as an active player would. When dead, they just sit there and time out since they no longer have minions to keep them in the game. Tracking key strokes wouldn’t work as those who allegedly AFK farm primarily use necromancers for the minions. This really wouldn’t register any key strokes. It’s really not that difficult to automatically flag players who are logged into the game past the inactivity timer, who have not moved during that time, and are gaining XP. This creates a list of players for them to verify rather than rely on player reports which in itself is debatable as to whether they actually are even looked at. They unfortunately don’t do this. In the end, you’re just better off not reporting anyone breaking the rules and just pretend that it doesn’t exist and that you didn’t see anything.
  17. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Guild_Wars_2_Support_Team#Identifying_a_GM_in-game Theres an example in that link.
  18. Yep. It's kind of odd which is why I brought up for the OP to be careful.
  19. Report and move on but don’t expect anything to happen. You haven’t done this yet but don’t list locations that they farm as that’s considered naming and shaming to the mods.
  20. It does make sense that it can have a role. This wasn’t ever in question. What was in question was whether that role would be profitable for fishing in the long term. The obvious usage through cooking is unlikely due to ascended food. Fishing would likely go the same direction as the other activities including beetle racing.
  21. This is about how fishing would profitable in the game and not about how Anet can monetize it.
  22. And I’m asking you what that would be. You state that it would be profitable but how would it be?
