Explain how it would be profitable in GW2. In order for fishing to be profitable, there would have to be demand for the fish. In order for there to be demand for the fish, there would have to be demand for something that requires them. It’s highly unlikely that would be cooking due to ascended platters which I already brought up. What else would there be?

I had AFK in italics. I use that in the same way as wrapping something in quotes. Obviously someone who is following the rules will not be truly AFK but fishing generally doesn’t provide any value. So you catch fish. Then what? Use them for food recipes? How would those compete with already existing ascended platters?

It all just feels like a bunch of “meh” features based on what they have revealed so far. The co-op feature of the siege turtle feels more like a gimmick rather than something that will add any value. There may be some content in the expansion that could require it but outside I don’t see it being useful. How fast do you think those turtles would move? I don’t recall them moving all that fast in GW1. Or is there Cantha technology tied to a mastery where you strapped rockets onto them? We have skimmer, and can also swim, so the skiffs really are more of something just to AFK on similar to the moving boats in Sandswept and Labrythine Cliffs. Fishing, outside of the achievement to collect all of the fish, feels like “something to do” when AFK.

I personally wouldn’t consider strike CMs to be anything on the level of raids unless they redesign the CM fights from that of normal.

Why include it when they can just $ell $eparately?

1) You’re going to run into issues when trying to do any group content an hour before daily reset. 2) My post wasn’t about you complaining about other content it was about your complaints of using LFG strikes being no different from using it for fractals and dungeons. 3) They’re intended as a stepping stone for raids which has roles. Removing them defeats their purpose. 4) If you intended it to be any two from a list, as part of your group finder suggestion where it’s random, refer to my post where I stated that a group finder for strikes wouldn’t work.

You’re sitting in LFG an hour BEFORE reset after most players who do strikes have already done it for the day. Just an FYI: you have to use LFG for all other instanced group content. If you’re complaining about having to use the LFG for strikes then you’re also complaining about having to use it for dungeons and fractals as well. Matchmaking wouldn’t work in GW2 due to the lack of defined roles. Getting rid of the priority strikes in favor of two strikes will just cause people to go with the easiest ones.

They’ll get preorder items when they get the standard version.

You will be able to upgrade to deluxe at a later point. You will not be able to upgrade to ultimate.

Even if it’s underwhelming, I’d still feel that my $30 was worth it for the time I got out of the content.

As others have pointed out, you do not speak for everyone. Everything that I have seen them reveal so far have been things that players have requested over the years.

Yes which I mentioned if someone was going to buy gems in the future anyway to just go for the ultimate. The deluxe package really isn’t all that worth it unless you really really want the skins but chances are better ones will be released at or soon after the expansion goes live.

Well the rewards would certainly be better. I’d just prefer there content designed specifically for those that want challenging content, such as raids, rather than it be an afterthought through a CM toggle.

Unless you like the skins, you’re better off buying the ultimate if you had planned to ever buy that much gems in the future already or just stick with the standard. The deluxe package will most likely be available through the gem store if you desire those items.

My belief is that they did this because it's cheaper to produce similar themed legendaries rather than unique ones for each weapon type. Isn't it just the same texture but molded to fit each weapon type?

But... but... strikes... and CM modes.... /s But yeah. It just seems like they double downed again on primarily focusing on one segment of MMO players which is one of the reasons why the game is in its current state (imo).

Good news. The expansion reveal event just confirmed that seasons 4 and IBS would be given for free during the episode spotlight weeks.

Xera can also be due to the gliding and perhaps with the bloodstone platforms members get teleported to during the second phase. I’ve seen people mess those up.
