The secret weapon GW2 has over any other MMO's are the heavy breathing whales that sank 1000's of dollars and hours into the game that would prevent them from uninstalling.

All my toons named in 2013 when was into a certain fiction series. But now I look at my character names that sounds more like old school D&D roleplay names and I stand out for being too immersive in a sea of names that look more leet speak ...like JoesBigHairyCharrs! Wait.....! No one take that name...till I get a new character tab!

We shall see don't wanna derail topic too much. Warrior has many grp utility tools but lacks synergy to tie it all together. Supportive weapon may not even matter if traits dont line up.

Cause I don't think any young Zoomer would touch this busted game from 2012. Grind grind grind and then grind somemore...not the playstyle of instant gratification. MMO's have to compete with stuff like TikTok now. Fortnite brought in a lot of young gamers but I don't think even an Action RPG holds them. This game needs adults with adult size purses.

Yes because warhorn is a good OH grp utility. Makes sense to be paired with a MH grp utility like Scepter. Open up any card deck...what's that king holding...a Scepter.

I understand we have many self righteous members who are in business for themselves and will never see both sides of the coin. The thread is not just about an emoji...its about attaching your handle @Ashen.2907 People will always flame and troll. Sadly can't stop that but if every disparaging emoji tracked back to them it's a pretty good guess it would happen less. Ppl care about their shinies in game and I think ppl would care about their rep of a handle. It sounds like a guilty argument to want to remain anonymous to flame someone. And there is a toxic culture on these boards more egregious then any other forum I participated. Example...someone didnt like what I had to say just a few hours ago. Went into my last 6 or so threads to leave some confused faces. Do I care...not really other then that's disturbing stalker like behavior that should be policed here. That's a grown adult choosing to get off in a stalker like manner under the protection of remaining anonymous. Shouldn't I have the right to identify a stalker and block them?? Disagreement is one thing but there are far more abusers of the system in place then an intended back and forth debate.

YouTube has a dislike button more for their algorithm but ppl totally use it to troll and that's fine. Not much of a Reddit person but they have upvotes and downvotes. Apparently here we have a mental health crisis with sad and confused forum members. It's ok if Ppl want to show they do not like what you have to say. But the symbol for that should be a proper "thumbs down". At least that is clear to the author.

I have to side with OP on this! Sorry because of a toxic few...this forum community is a huge disappointment! I've been playing MMO'S for 25 years. I've always been a huge participant and consumer of official game forums. Often spending more time on the boards than the game itself...cause back in my day making choosing specs and making talent tree decisions was a permanent feature. So you would constantly theorycraft with other members to not kitten your character. There's always been trolls but nothing as bad as these forums. Arenanet has done an awful job removing the truly egregious trashposters from these boards. I can say I see a few of them in this very thread and if Anet could track how many confuse and sad emojis they leave per day its probably a good indicator they only harm the community by offering nothing to the conversation other than their middle finger. Same goes to the smarmy gaslighters. Im gonna say, I think the average Gw2 player is in there late 30/40's. It makes me sick to see their behavior they leave on posts that aren't even mine. Sorry, just pixels or not, one in real life does not walk into a conversation to verbally attack the people talking. Do you think they would even have the guts to do so without the protection of being anonymous? These are bad apples! WtH is even a confuse and sad emoji even for ?? Get rid of them put a "disagree" reaction if you need a need for a negative response. Do you know what I do when I read a suggestion I don't agree with? It would be considerate of the Devs to actually explain their reasoning for the weapons they chose for each class. They are suppose to fill in gaps that the elites currently don't offer on there own. And....Ahem...Warriors should have gotten Scepter as a Support MH! We all know you are just gonna throw us some weaker and more watered down version of Rev and Guard Staff.

Charzooka is one thing but... I don't understand all the swords that scrap 6 inches into the ground when stowed on the tallest of Norns! You can't find a lower place on the weapon to post it to the hip of an avatar?? It's like they have one rigged model made back in 2012 and they've been copying and pasting the same file for the last 11 years! Worst of all...that was approved? How low is your standard to call it "good enough from government work"!? You'd all be fired if I was running the design department!

I like jade bots, they feel unfinished. Wish they could fight with you in open world like chocobo's in FFXIV. I rarely go to cantha so I rarely use these but I see no harm. It's a free buff take it or leave it. I've never felt content in cantha is too hard to pass on them. I actually now spend my charges on chests instead. It's kinda like gathering...some ppl will pick up every single onion they see and some players will feel they have enough and it's not worth the dismount.

I'm a Warrior main. I have a good amount of time on Heal Herald. Started playing a boosted DH. I really like the flavor. But I have no comparison to FB or Will. Both are superior from what I gather in build diversity. I dont want to change elites so fast till a completely get the hang of DH. What is it ppl love about their Dragonhunters? The traps are fun, but wish you could have better control where to place them. I can see the expectation in a group of being only Dps maybe nice. Hoping Pistols provides some synergy or mobility to DH.

Has anyone switched from their Warrior Main? I toyed the with idea of switching to Mechanist or Dragonhunter or Herald. I have more Heavy Armor unlock skins. I still log into my Warrior way more to farm mats, LW and Daily PvP.

Well they upped Staff dmg on Theif. Staff on Rev is solid. Curious what they are gonna do for staff on War? Still think Sceptar would have been better as a mh support. If I think of support staff it's a copy paste from Rev.

I'll take all the buffs to warhorn I can. It's a cool weapon and so underutilized. Wish we had further traits to augment it.

For OP, lots of good suggestions in here so I'll just say...your right!...game does a horrible job of explaining anything. I think I quit in 2013 cause i didn't know what the frances was going on. Im just recently back and sank a ton of hours into the game. Forunately we have 10 years of youtube to find what we need. Yesterday after I got frustrated over a LW3 mechanic that took me an hour to figure out searching for a video that explained what the saint claus I was suppose to do. I wound up finding an archive forum post and after a few more attempts it clicked. As you can see game is very deep and sometimes I'm scratching my head...what should I do right now. With so much to do ...its very hard to focus...and when you do very easy to get trapped in some map meta event. I use my acheivement tab sometimes to help organize me. I usually try to hit my dailies from there. I like legendary crafting but its such a slog! Just do whatever you like and the rest will eventually click.

OP I had similar problem or...normal problem going from the Free base game to HoT. I stuck it out in HoT till I unlocked gliding then I headed to PoF. Mobs still hit hard but maps are way easier to get the hang of IMO. If you unlocked your 1st 3 PoF mounts raptor, springer, skimmer then head back to HoT. Maps will be way easier. Also trash mobs are relentless in xps. They drop huge dmg GTAoE's all stacked on eachother. Gotta constantly dodge/roll, run out and reposition. If you have EoD and want an easier time and still pick up 10 hero pts per node start there. I think there is even an alternative way to get gliding in there. EoD is the 1st xp I run all my alts to unlock elites. 1 more common mistake...If you play your new elite spec without unlocking all your skills ..it will be a hard time. Better to run 3 core traitlines till you rack up enough hero points to unlock all your elite spec.

I'd like to state for the record Vengeful Return is Support! When your downstate in pvp along with teamies...You pop up and drop your Rez banner. But man.....Bring on the Offhand F2 Bursts already...and mayhaps we can fill some of these holes.
